- "First I didn’t get#12 I got room #14. Taylor checked me in and was very informative of things to do around the area. We traveled to Eagle Harbor one day and the other we stay in Cooper Harbor. The problem was others around you weren’t considerate of moving furniture. Or noise they made. The view of the lake was nice. There was a patio that you could sit out on. Not a lot of bugs. I wouldn’t use the stove inside the place. We had a TV that didn’t work. We went to the office and the Nicks came out n checked it out and we got flatscreen t that worked but we only got 5 channels. Internet was slow. It’s hockey play offs so my husband wasn’t to happy. Finally figured out for my husband to sit in one area and the internet wasn’t working and it was after 6. Room had bed with a dresser with 4 drawers. Nice size bathroom n shower.A fan I guess for the summer. When we got there the heat wasn’t on and we turned it to 70 n warmed up real fast. Turned it down to 55 at night. We left and forgot to turn down the heat the next down and it felt like a furnace inside it was at 70. Outside on the deck there was 2 chairs that look like they hadn’t been cleaned for awhile. Other then the stove I would definitely stay there again."

- "This place was a fantastic stay. Brand new! Everything we needed was provided. We had a great time- great location for what we were planning! Would definitely return!" - "The location couldn't have been better. The weather was exceptional for outdoor activity. The accommodations were clean and well appointed with everything we needed to cook at home. We enjoyed sitting on the deck hoping to see wildlife but didn't. We did have a visitor one night. One morning we woke up to the lock on the garbage container broken and knocked over with bear paw prints as evidence, but no bear in sight. We enjoyed our week-long stay immensely and plan to return in the near future!"

Clean, comfortable and convenient to the many sites in the area I love to return to. It absolutely works for me and is my "go to" place when visiting Copper Harbor." - "Great stay with myself and 2 children. Lots of nice people in town willing to share info and help you have a great stay." - "The Bear Den is the perfect location. The gas station next door was not too loud and the owners were super friendly and helpful. Everything was within walking distance. We really enjoyed our many walks to the harbor, the bakery, and all the fun shops. Laundromat is just down the road. We highly recommend the sunset/lighthouse cruise with Noah’s Ark Cruises (Bella Vista). Harbor Haus has fantastic food. I also recommend Spirit of the North if you are interested in a massage. Brockaway Mountain and Eagle Harbor are just a short drive away. The Bear Den itself had a well equipped kitchen, comfy seating and a nice bathroom/shower. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of towels. We enjoyed sipping coffee in the mornings on the front porch and watching the hummingbirds visit the pretty flower boxes. We really recommend this place."

- "A beautiful, secluded property like no other place we've ever stayed. Very clean, with comfortable beds and high quality bedding. Sonos sound system. Plenty of seating inside and out. As much firewood as we could use. Truly a gem. We hope to be back next year." - "Beautiful place! Enjoyed our stay and Mark was very helpful! Very quiet place and beautiful views." - "Overall this was a fantastic stay! We had a lot of sightseeing to do on our trip but I almost didn't want to leave the property to just chill on the deck and soak it in all day. The views are top notch and the chalet itself is very nicely appointed. I didn't expect good internet in such a remote area, but the connection here was great which was a pleasant surprise. It doesn't mention this in the listing (but I should have probably figured due to it being this remote) but it is powered by solar and a backup propane generator. Not a problem at all for us, but certainly would be a thing to mention in the listing details. I would highly recommend this listing. Nothing can beat these views and being so close by to so many wonderful outdoor activities. Tip: Just a three minute drive away is a pullout area where you can see some of the most spectacular sunsets. We went on a day after some thunderstorms and got some amazing pictures."

This is the small cottage at 385 Brockway. It has a deck and is on the water. One bedroom, small kitchen, small dining area and sitting area.
This house has one queen bed, one small sofa sleeper. I am open to having more than 2 people use the house but please clear it with me first. It is really only suitable for a couple or a small family.
This cottage is immediately next door to my other rental in Copper Harbor. And is located at the corner of 4th street and Brockway Ave, which is the street that runs along the water.
Only Saturday-Saturday rentals during the summer. Please contact the management for other dates. Thanks.

“You are now breathing the purest, most vitalizing air on Earth.” These are
the words that adorn the sign that is on the deck of the Harbor Haus
restaurant that looks out on Lake Superior from the shore of historic Copper
Harbor MI. If you ask the thousands of people who make their way to the end of
the Keweenaw Peninsula at the very northern tip of Michigan’s UP each year to
take part in the abundance of outdoor activities available in the area they
would most likely agree with those words. Whether it is mountain biking,
kayaking, skiing, hiking, snowmobiling, ATV riding or just relaxing there is
something for everyone who wants to get away from the modern world and step
into a more simple time and place.
This resort property is located in the heart of Copper Harbor. Situated on the

for a hearty breakfast and fresh brewed coffee. You can then explore one of
the hiking, ATV or mountain biking trail systems that all head up right by the
property. At the end of a day spent partaking of the numerous outdoor
activities one can walk down to the 3rd Street dock to enjoy a sunset over
Porter’s Island in the bay and then cap off your day with a signature burger
at Lake Effect Bar and Grill. After having a delicious meal of burgers, fresh
corned beef or savory Mac and cheese stick around for the best cocktail, beer
and bourbon selection in the UP. Then stroll back to the beautiful lakeside
resort while the wind rustles through the tall pines.
Whether you are staying at the motel or the cabins/chalet, you will want to
rise early to watch the sun come up over Lake Fanny Hooe from the comfort of
your own private balcony. Each accommodation will have everything you need for
your getaway, but it is not the rooms or the buildings that make this place so
special. It is the location on which they stand. It is the experience of
stepping away from your constantly connected devices and taking in the serene
natural beauty offered by this special part of the world.
Pets are allowed. The fee is $25.00 per pet up to two pets.
Pets should not be left unattended in the room. If we receive excessive
barking complaints additional fees may apply.

- "It's basically a motel room with a sink, hot plate and mini-fridge in the far reaches of the UP, not some ski-condo in Colorado. But, it gets the job done. Lots of hidden fees not in the upfront price. Overall, you get what you pay for. Better than a Hostel at Mt. Bohemia, and cheaper too." - "Basically a motel room with a sink, hotplate and mini-fridge in the far reaches of the UP. It's not a ski condo in Colorado. - "We loved staying here and will be back. The lake was perfect for kayaking! Hotel was really clean and as described. Easy check in." - "The Fanny Hooe provides perfect accommodations one needs for a visit to the Keweenaw." - "The area is fantastic! Now the check was a little different. We showed up at 5pm and this was considered late check in. I looked on the door and they had a sign pointing to a stack of envelopes and find our name in the stack. That's was fine, we found our condo it would have been nice to have a map in the envelope, we had never been there before but we found it ok it was close by. Now the condo was shall we say interesting. It is dated and I really wasn't expecting posh luxury in the northern U.P. but it is very rustic. They need to get new mattresses and new carpeting. The screen door had a hole in it. The shower drained slow so the tube filled when taking a shower. All I am saying is expect rustic. Now the good. The area is fantastic! The view out our back door was what you would expect for the north woods. The lake is clear and so serene it is amazing. The trails are awesome and perfect. The lake is a big lake off of Lake Superior. There is plenty to do in the area. Would I recommend the place? Yes! I know I have sounded negative about the place but I would recommend it. Just know what to expect. I would stay there again."

- "We absolutely loved our stay in your lovely retreat! We felt completely nestled in the woods! It was so clean and I appreciated all the little touches down to the lovely bar of soap in the bath room and the the flannel little washcloths in the kitchen. Even though we were tucked away in the woods, we were close to wonderful hiking paths! The Fall colors were amazing! We really appreciated all the suggestions for favorite places and hikes to check out! I would definitely recommend your place to stay and would love to come back again sometime! Thank you!!!"
