This fully furnished newly remodeled cottage with large windows for your unobstructed greater than 180 degree panoramic water views. For even better views we recently installed all glass railings on the deck. Other recent upgrades include new deck furniture and full house air conditioning. You are only 50 feet from the water (10 steps down). Every room has a view of the water. The kitchen is open to the living room which allows exceptional views as well.

The cottage is immaculate. Our renter customer feedback surveys in the last few years have rated 'cleanliness' as 'outstanding' by 100% of our renters, 'location' as outstanding by 90% of our renters. This is a rare jewel on Old Mission Peninsula. We appreciated the coffee maker, which had dual function, one side a K-cup machine and the other side a brew pot. The water in the shower stayed hot even after three people in a row showered. All the little details were taken care of, with comfy chairs to relax in, touch lamps in the bedroom, a stocked K-cup rack and teas, and even a low glow light by the stairs to the bathroom. We would most definitely stay here again."

Please enjoy our quaint crooked little 1885 cottage that was the carriage house for the historic house across the road. Updating completed Fall 2019 with new flooring, cabinets, appliances, windows and bathroom fixtures. We are 100 yards from the beach, river and park. Two blocks to great eateries, Shorts Brewery, and quaint shopping downtown. 10 miles to Flintfields Equestrian Park in Williamsburg, or our many inland lakes, and 18 miles to Traverse City.

The kitchen appliances are okay but for guests like us who cooked at least one meal each day, it would have been more convenient to have newer or at least more usable kitchen supplies. Btw, a couple of pans could have been washed well before it was put in the cabinet as well. And I think it's almost time to change that carpet. Lastly, a small table and two chairs on the balcony to sit on and enjoy the lake view or watch the sunset would definitely please future guests in this unit. Over all, this unit is okay. We picked it not just because of the location but also the extra bedroom option and a second bathroom. "

This historic home was stripped to the base frame and completely updated and modernized. We added granite countertops, a marble bathroom, and refinished wood floors. All the comforts of home with a full kitchen stocked with all potential necessities. This home is in outstanding condition. The town is a wonderful close community, and matches your imagination of small town living.

Wake up and go for a jog or bike ride and stop at the local coffee shop and bakery. Restaurants range from sophisticated to casual home cooking. The town is completely surrounded by water with the East Bay of Lake Michigan along the west side of town and Elk Lake to the east. You can travel by boat from Elk Lake to Torch Lake, known as the Caribbean of the North (National Geographic.) Elk Rapids is known for festivals and art fairs, and during the summer on Wednesday nights, the streets are closed for food and entertainment.

This area is an ideal spot to hunt for morel mushrooms in the spring, enjoy the beaches in the summer, do color tours in the fall and ski in the winter. Elk Rapids is a hidden gem in Northern Michigan and once discovered you will be back every year

- "I loved my stay at the cabin by Sayler Park Beach! It's a monthly stay option so its definitely a commitment and one I would make again. Its got a Lake Tahoe cabin vibe, many upgrades throughout yet with scents of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Its so peaceful in complete privacy in a glade of trees and yet the owners are right next door as are other homes. You can see a peek of Lake Michigan through the neighbors trees, you can walk a moment down to the park beach for all the joys of the lake, and you sleep very peacefully in the cabin in the trees. Jeff and Miriam are so lovely and readily available in their killer pad next door for any questions or needs. The vibe is overall perfect and very peaceful and I'd return again no problem. The squirrels and chipmunks are very friendly and I enjoyed hand feeding them cherries everyday, which means they feel safe in the forest there. It is protected land in that area after all. :) You can fly up to Elk Rapids or into TC in a moment, so the location is great.
