Enjoy a private studio space with its own patio and fire pit in our quiet ranch home. The Walkout is a lower level room and bath, redone with cedar. Walk to the beach (500ft)and use the fire pit there while watching northern lights or hunt yooper lights. Or both! Firewood is available at the road by the bundle or can be ordered ahead of time by the cord.
A nature preserve is next door. We sit two miles west of Whitefish point shipwreck museum and are 12 miles north of downtown Paradise, 25minutes from Tahquamenon Falls.
We have one dog, a Boxer named BB, conures,and some chickens on the property. A barbecue grill is provided.

Our home is in a small neighborhood with Lake Superior Beach access just a short walk down the private road. We are about 8 miles from Whitefish Point and 15 miles from the Lower Tahquamenon Falls.

Our small cabin is nestled in the woods. Guests have access to a screened in porch as well as a fire pit for bonfires. We are in the process of renovating living space in the garage, but the bay for cars / snowmobiles is available to guests. We also have yard games and our grill in that garage as well as some extra beach items. You will have full access to the main cabin. We have some beach gear including fold up chairs for the summer months, that’s located in the wood shed right next to the home for your use! Our woodshed is stocked, but please be respectful of your use of our firewood.

Winter months: The cabin is located in a neighborhood off of whitefish point rd that is plowed and maintained. See photos in our listing showing location via Polaris ride command. It is a short distance to the trail. There is also lots of snowmobile traffic on Whitefish Point Road, so you could take that about 4 miles right into town. Plenty of room for your trailer. Please do not use the wood stove.

We have a full kitchen with basic utensils, bakeware, coffee pot, and a small propane cooktop stove and oven for your use.

*Rental home and use in a residential neighborhood approved by Township; STR permit requirements are the reason for many of our house rules. Any questions, please ask!

Please adhere to any state or local burning restrictions when using the fire pit.

- "Everything was clean well stocked and close to everything. We enjoyed our adventures. We definitely will stay again. Thanks for sharing your place" - "We enjoyed our stay here with our family of 4 (two kids 7 and 4). The house was very clean and has a great setup! It is a short walk to the beach which never had anyone else on it anytime that we went. I believe the listing or instructions given to us said the house was 200ft from the beach, we had a little bit of a hard time finding it the first day as it is not marked, but a neighbor is used to helping people find it and came out to help us. We measured it on google maps and it is about 500 ft down the road from the house, which is still a short distance! The house was very clean and comfortable. The electric went out during a storm and the owner was quick in responding to my texts in directing us to flashlights and reporting the outage. There are no neighbors visible around the property and the area is very quiet. They also have a black stone in a detached garage that made cooking at the house easier! The only negative I would say is that there was an excessive amount of mosquitos right around the house. Every time we opened the door to the house or our car about 5 came in. I would say that the mosquitos were worse on the property than anywhere else that we hiked while there. I would not discourage anyone from staying here because of that but it was the one negative I can note. If we were staying in this area again in the future we would stay here again!"

The cabin had ALL we could have ever needed, except maybe more fans. We had unseasonably warm temperatures and weren’t quite expecting that. All in all, a WONDERFUL U.P. experience. The road into the cabin can best be described as a trail, 1 mile long. All wheel drive or 4 wheel drive is recommended. At the very least a vehicle with good ground clearance. The road has some areas of loose sand that can be difficult for the ordinary sedan.

There is NO LIFE GUARD ON DUTY by the river so children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

This cabin is located in a beautiful remote wooded area of the upper peninsula. Wildlife, birds and insects are abundant. Mosquito protection is necessary various times of the year. Guests should bring mosquito spray, protective clothing and minimize opening doors.

Wild Blueberry plants are abundant on the property and start in late July early August. No limit on how many you can pick. The Paradise area tends to get a lot of snow which translates into lots of spring melt making this ideal for blueberries. Cranberries can also be found in the Paradise area.

Note blackout dates due to snow melt and breakdown of snowmobile trail.

This would make a great place for a solo or group retreat away from intense city life.

Any preppers out there might gain some valuable experience from the off grid design of this cabin as well
as testing your survival skills in the deep woods.

We are open year round and have direct access to ATV and snowmobile trails. Enjoy our large outdoor space with picnic tables and charcoal grills (charcoal not provided). At this time, we are not pet friendly. We have coin operated guest laundry on site. Our contactless check in and check out makes traveling easy and convenient to arrive any time after 3pm. We do not have a staffed office on site, but are only a call or text message away!
One bedroom suite with queen size bed, private bathroom, living room with full size sleeper sofa and full kitchen. Microwave, two-burner cooktop, refrigerator and maple cabinetry. Custom-made bedroom furniture, air conditioning, WiFi, satellite TV, Sleeps 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.
Guests will receive a text message the day of arrival when their suite is ready. This will include check in information about their suite and door code.
