Make memories in our cozy and peaceful home nestled in tall pines, just outside of Rogers City, Michigan. Our house was built in the 1950's, and we renovated it with stylish mid-century modern touches. The updated kitchen has a gas range and oven and stainless steel cookware, great for cooking and eating in. The house is stocked with high quality linens, bedding, and towels, and we strive to make sure you have the essential ingredients for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. There is a downstairs bedroom and upstairs sleeping loft, and lovely spaces to congregate inside and out. The house can comfortably accommodate a maximum of six guests.

The Hideaway is located a half-block away from the sandy beaches of Lake Huron and directly across from Hoeft State Park. Indoors we have a game room - with ping pong and foosball - and outdoors you will find a custom-built fire pit, grill, hammock, and outside dining area.

In summer, hit the beach and swim, paddle, or sail on Lake Huron. Set out for a walk, bike, or run on miles of public trails, beaches, and paved paths just outside the door. Explore nearby shipwrecks and lighthouses. In the fall, revel in the gorgeous changing leaves, and visit the nearby nationally acclaimed apple orchard and cidery. Come winter, access miles of cross country ski trails just across the street, or head to the other trails in the area, including Black Mountain. In spring, look for morels and enjoy crisp nights and warming days.

We love traveling with our dogs, and we welcome your dogs, too! The backyard is enclosed with a fence, so if your dog is not a digger (meaning under the fence) or a jumper (meaning over the fence), he or she can also enjoy off-leash outdoor vacation time in the backyard. We have dog food and water bowls for your use, along with eco-friendly pick-up bags.

Due to the location of the home, there is no cable television (although we do have two TVs with DVD players and a nice collection of movies), cell service is limited, and we do not have internet or wi-fi. Many of our guests welcome the peace and tranquility that comes with not having cable or internet and the opportunity to unwind, relax, and connect with one another. We have a land line phone for your use.

Newley renovated Country Cabin located near 5 lakes with easy access. Take a stroll on the many walking trails or even bring your ATV/ Snowmobile on an adventure. This home is a 2BDR/ 1BATH setup with 1 Queen bed, 1 bunk, and 2 pull out couch sleeping 8 people comfortable. This quaint charming home offers great indoor and outdoor relaxations and is only a short 10 minute drive to a local apple orchard. Keyless entry allows for a hassle free start to any vacation getaway. There is a sawmill in close location. However is not extremely loud.

The only recommendations are the bathroom door was noisy when opening and closing and bedroom door didn't close all the way. Room darkening shades would be a great touch for the rooms with beds/pull out couches because a lot of light comes in early in the morning. Also, the North Eastern State Trail is practically in the back yard, ready for bikers and snowmobilers alike. If you’re up for a drive, Mackinac Island is about an hour away! So too are numerous Petoskey wineries and beautiful ski slopes.

Secluded two bedroom that sits on a bluff overlooking 100 ft of Lake Huron frontage all to yourself.

The cabin is located in between Hoeft state park and 40 Mile point lighthouse. 2 minute walk to the Lake Huron bike trail. (Bring your bikes)

This cabin does not have a microwave, coffee pot or laundry facilities. There is a laundromat in town with limited hours.

Things in the cabin: small refrigerator,small gas stove, outdoor grill, fire pit, picnic table, some dishes, some utensils, outdoor heater(commercial type) wine glasses, cast iron cookware (don’t use if you’re not familiar), and some books/magazines.

The kitchen is not ideal for cooking gourmet meals. I cook almost everything on the grill outside. When you see the view, you’ll understand why.

Two bedrooms. 2 queen beds, 1 single bed, one single roll away bed, sofa and loveseat.

This cabin is designed with spending time outdoors in mind but equipped for rainy days. Feel free to reach out to me and I can answer any and all questions. I don’t want anyone to not enjoy so here is what you may encounter:

There are pests, flies, mosquitoes, mice, bats, deer, bear. This is a cabin in Northern Michigan, in the woods. Check the internet for unusually large numbers, seasons etc. if this is something that will ruin your vacation.

The bluff is high and the stairs are steep. There aren’t excessive railings so this cabin is not ideal for unattended children untrained pets, or those with physical disabilities.

This cabin is non smoking. Feel free to smoke like a dragon, just do it outside.

I list these things because sadly, I have to. This place is for 4 people who want to check out Lake Huron and not stay in a roadside motel or a tent. If you are expecting the Hilton, you won’t find it in Rogers City:-). This is a Michigan cabin. A roof, electricity, Wi-Fi, bed, running water. Everything else is a bonus. Priced accordingly.

Do not park on the septic field. Yup, had to add this too. Do not park anywhere beyond the garage and you will be just fine.

- "The view is breathtaking. Uhikwa'tuh is always moving and singing, the sky big, the horizon endless and the water an everchanging palette of blue. The cottage was charming. We appreciated it's 50+ year old structure and the tasteful and fun renovations taking place. We hope Stephanie keeps this gem alive. She was very accurate in her description of the place. Even if you cannot do the steps to the beach the view from the cottage is spectacular and you can access the roadside beach right off the bike trail! If you can get down to the beach...pure huron heaven! Outdoor grilling and sitting area were great too. Also the location of this cabin is in a friendly and quiet neighborhood. It is located near many parks and historical cites to explore. We did...don't miss out this place is worth a visit or two or three."

- "Our family of 12 from ages 50 down to 11 months spent a week at this Rogers City Beach house! All pictures are as listed, if not better! (I am a true real human who stayed here) The view is so beautiful! The home was SO great! CLEAN!!! Had all we needed and then some! I only wish I had picked August for our trip! We have never been in northern MI and knew it would be cooler than our normal southern US beach vacations. But that water is so inviting! Our kids and grand kids enjoyed the kayaks, grands loved the water! We had a fire in the fire ring and they even had firewood available at the house! I had emailed previous to our stay with concerns of no dining table for our large family. So we brought some folding tables and chairs with us! Only to be so surprised when we entered the house ~a very new BIG table and chairs were there!! It was perfect! The check in and check out were so easy and smooth. Communication was via text/email quick and easy! We had a couple of questions while we were there and we were quickly responded to and answered! The only thing negative I have to say is that you have to check out! : ) Enjoy!!!"
