- "Went to this hotel the first day it opened for the season - we are totally green and didn't understand season lol. Service was excellent. Room had an amazing view, was a nice size, and was clean. Some of the features seemed old but were clean so no biggie to me. My only complaint is the pillows were either rock hard or felt like they were filled with cotton balls, but I am very hard to please on pillows so take that with a grain of salt. They have a shuttle to the ferries but you could actually walk they were so close. TBH I didn't expect much from a Best Western, but this stay was really really lovely."

Returning from watching the sunset over the bridge on Friday evening, we found the parking lot full of cars. Apparently we chose the weekend when they have a car show. There was a lot of squealing tire and leaving skid marks. THANKFULLY there was one place to park in the back side parking area by the dumpster. At first I was NOT going to park there, but ended up doing just that because there was no other place to park. As far as the Staff, the man that was at the desk was pretty helpful and did offer to move the golf cart by the office so I could park there which was the farthest point from our room. Overall the stay was really nice...we did not hear the noise of the party and cars after we were in our room."

The location is perfect for day trips. We brought fans with us because there is no AC, but didn't need to because there were fans in each bedroom and the living area when we arrived. No WiFi or cable, but that didn't bother us. Our phones had good signal and 5G. The area is beautiful, the people are friendly, and I wouldn't hesitate to book this cabin again should I return to the UP."

This is a two bedroom home located on the Straits of Mackinac, Lake Michigan. This house is in a quiet residential neighborhood, but private, with only one house close next door. The deck and back yard facing the waterfront. All amenities including WiFi, washer/dryer, fully stocked kitchen, 12 cup coffee pot, toaster, air conditioning (in season will be installed in windows) and small portable tabletop charcoal grill are available. There is a fire pit on the beach front property to the east of the house. Location is 5 miles west of the Mackinac bridge on Gros Cap Rd, with views of St Helena Island Lighthouse and from the shore, you get views of the south end of the Mackinac Bridge. The beach here is rocky, but water accessible for swimming; water shoes are recommended. Sandy dunes are located approximately 5 miles west of the house, for all day sunbathing and swimming. A breathtaking sunrise from the side deck or the Lake Huron beach is a must. A family picnic along with an evening fire will surley create life long memories. Be sure to watch the beautiful fireworks from downtown St Ignace right on the grounds of Bayview every Saturday from July 4th through Labor Day. . Take a stroll along the shore of Lake Huron treasure hunting while watching the ferries travel to and from Mackinac Island. Open the windows to smell and feel the refreshing breeze and listen to the seagulls calling. Ample yard space for kids and adults alike to enjoy outdoor games. Bayview is located on a quite street, within walking distance to town, including many shops, restaurants and the ferries. Convenient, off street parking is available. - "Great view!" - "Very accommodating. Close to where the ferry leaves to take you to Mackinac Island. Clean and very cozy!" - "My husband and I came to participate in the Mini on the Mack event. This property is stupendous! So close to town and the most breath-taking views of the water. Owners live downstairs we were upstairs. (Private entrance) Plenty of room for two couples or a small family. The rooms and deco were very clean and quaint. Slept like the dead in the master bedroom. Bed very comfy. The yard would be wonderful for kids to play. We enjoyed a lovely evening with the owners, Deb and Dan, watching the sun set. There are many restaurants close by (the white fish is fantastic here!) and a grocery store about a mile away. We would come again to the area just to visit Deb and Dan even if their place wasn't available! Great vacation area. Plenty of uncrowded beaches and boating options nearby. All around a great choice. If you have mobility issues, this may not be the best option for you as the unit is upstairs. If you are extremely tall, the shower has a sloping roofline. Didn't bother us at all but if you are over 6 feet you may need to stoop. All around a great choice for a vacation. Come for a weekend, you will want to stay for a month!"

I have lived in Saint Ignace all my life - my roots here go back to 1885. My family are some of the first settlers in this quaint city. I LIVE ON SITE. My home is divided with private entrance for visitors. No shared space. Enjoy my beautiful island flower garden with pond and lighthouse and the train garden. Wildlife including deer and even a moose have stopped by for a visit. Truly a tranquil romantic paradise!

This cozy cottage is located less than two miles west of the Mackinac Bridge on the North shore of Lake Michigan.
