Sage Cottage is in the heart of the Bitterroot Valley, close to hiking and biking trails and a scenic drive. It is less than 10 miles from the Bitterroot River. Our garden has over 38 bird species that guests are welcome to enjoy.

When you book with us for short- or long-term stays, utility costs like electricity, garbage, and Wi-Fi are all included.

Bill and I steam clean the floors and sanitize and polish all surfaces between each stay. We are proud of our sparkling-clean rating.

The kitchen is equipped with dishes, silverware, and utensils, as well as an electric stove/oven, a full-size refrigerator, an instant pot, a microwave, a coffee maker, an espresso machine, a coffee grinder, a toaster, cookbooks, and pantry supplies. It is tiled with an Italian ceramic backsplash. We have our hand-blown glass drawer pulls (blown by Bill in our blown glass studio) on the cabinetry and a touch of our art throughout the Cottage. When building this Cottage, we had fun adding our artwork to it.

A washer and dryer with complimentary, natural laundry soap is just off the kitchen.

The bedroom is warm and inviting, with a comfortable queen-sized bed and bedding, latté colored walls, espresso lamps, and chocolate blackout curtains. Along with the 40" smart TV, it has a writing desk equipped with writing paper, Sage Cottage postcards, coloring pages for the young and young at heart, and colored pencils.

The living room has a futon that folds into a queen-size bed for extra guests. The dining room table features tall chairs, allowing you to see the windows better and enjoy the views. A smart TV on the wall between the living room and kitchen swivels to be watched from either the living room or the kitchen.

The full-size bath comes with complimentary soaps and shampoos. It includes an inviting tub with pebbled beach tile on the floor, Tuscan-type tiles on the walls, and a lighted makeup mirror. A linen closet in the bath supplies extra towels and linens. Our hand-blown glass drawer pulls on the cabinetry add to the artistic elegance.

This Cottage has a private driveway for our guests and a front entrance with a digital keypad on the door for self-check-in.

360-degree views can be enjoyed from this location, with the kitchen window looking out to the Bitterroot Mountains and the living room windows providing an idea of the Sapphire Mountain range. Feel free to stroll in the surrounding gardens in the spring and summer. If you would like a tour of our gardens or workshops, let us know, and we would be happy to show you around. Our Cottage is located overlooking the town of Hamilton on part of a farm over 100 years old. Some of the lands are still actively used for farming.

When we designed this house, we added Wi-Fi connectivity to two flat screens and smart TVs, allowing guests to watch complimentary Netflix and network channels. It also features a wireless sound bar that connects to handheld devices or laptops, allowing users to stream music. Additionally, music can be streamed through either a smart TV.

Outside, behind the Cottage, is a hot tub with spectacular views of Montana's big sky. Relax and watch the clouds roll by during the day or the stars at night.

Our home is nearby, and we love meeting guests, but we also respect their privacy. We are full-time artists and work out of several shops on our property. We are happy to show our guests our workspaces, but only if they request it. We respect their privacy and understand that some guests prefer to relax and enjoy the place by themselves.

Three different size cabins: The 'Wolf Den' at Wilderness Spirit Cabins, is a one room cabin with full bathroom, queen bed, mini kitchen, outside deck to enjoy the spectacular view. It's perfect for a couple that wants a romantic and private hideaway. Just imagine only the two of you having a cup of coffee out on the deck enjoying the sunrises and sunsets from behind the mountains on both sides of the cabin. The view is breathtaking. It even has an electric fireplace for a romantic ambiance in the evening. There is a sofabed in the cabin for extra guests if needed. The cabin comes supplied with all linens, towels, and paper products. For cooking, the cabin is supplied with dishes, cups, silverware and cooking utensils, pots and pans. The mini kitchen consists of a large refrigerator, microwave, airfryer, toaster oven, two burner hot plate and coffee maker with coffee and filters supplied. Free Wi-Fi and DirectTV satellite is included. The vacation cabin is very close to Hamilton where there is shopping, restaurants, churches, gas stations, and other activities to chose from. Bitterroot River is a mere 3 miles away with fishing access and there is the Calf Creek Wildlife Management area only a couple miles down the road with hunting access. Each cabin has it's own outside grill and firepit to enjoy those outside activities. Each cabin is decorated with the original watercolor paintings and limited edition reproductions of co-owner/professional artist, Tracy Rose Moyers. Pets are considered but must be approved by management first. The cabins are located in a rural area but within minutes of Hamilton and Corvallis, which have numerous shops, restaurants, grocery stores, and activities abound. The neighborhood is rural country with a cattle ranch in front and our neighbors have chickens, a rooster, sheep and cattle. The property consists of our private log home and two other vacation cabins on acres. It is located on a dead end dirt road with only five other private residences on the lane. Only 20 minutes from the cabins is the beautiful, refreshing Lake Como which has a sandy beach and swimming area. Bring your boat and you can launch your boat and go water-skiing, jet ski, or just cruise.
There are numerous National Forest hiking trails located within minutes of the cabins. The area is one of the best fly-fishing areas around and has numerous fishing access within minutes of the cabins. Horseback riding, hunting, rafting, kayaking, tubing are all available in the area. For winter visitors, the Lost Trail Powder Mountain Ski resort is only about 45 minutes away and has skiing and snowboarding. Cross country skiing is also a big recreation in this area. In 50 minutes, you can be in Missoula where the University of Montana and the airport is located. Missoula has a large collection of shops and galleries and restaurants. In two hours north, you can visit Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. Drive a little farther and visit the little town of Bigfork with it's numerous galleries and shops. Keep going north another hour and you will be in Glacier National Park and see all it's glory and take a drive on the 'Road to the Sun' with it's breathtaking views and wildlife.

'Bear Cave' is decorated with the original watercolor paintings and limited edition prints by the co-owner/artist, Tracy Rose Moyers, that are available for purchase. Cabin is located in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley which is considered in the 'banana belt' which means that the area has milder weather compared to the rest of Montana. The Bitterroot is also considered one of the best fly-fishing areas of the country. This cabin is pet friendly but owners must approve the breed first (due to insurance rules). Cabin is non-smoking but we allow smoking on the outside deck and supply a can with sand for your cigarettes butts. This cabin is NOT handicapped accessible due to it's rustic nature and the different levels.

My son was able to catch a few brook trout while hanging out at the creek on site. And the fishing on the west fork was awesome! The only thing I can advise is that the hill from where you park to the cabin is a bit steep. One of those canvas wagons would have been very helpful in bringing things up and down the hill. I highly recommend staying at this cabin. The owners are wonderful and extremely helpful! The experience cannot be beat! I really hope to be back one day!"
