My first concern was the distance from the highway. This, however, was not an issue. The road is in great shape, you can cruise around 60 mph most of the way. Only the last half mile is unpaved and its not bad. Altogether, a wonderful drive. We were met at the main lodge by David, who was an outstanding host. Very pleasant and accommodating, he offered us the guest room in the lodge. The lodge was comfortable and clean, in the style you would expect in a Montana B&B. Breakfast was outstanding, the conversation was good, and grounds were in top shape. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Wild Game Inn to anyone, and hope someday to return. "

Our cozy, fully self-contained 750 sf private guest home retreat is attached to our main home and sits in the middle of 20 lush acres bordering US Forest Service land & is located just minutes from Lost Trail Ski area, rivers/fishing, lakes & hiking. It has fantastic views of mountains, pine trees, wildlife & the beautiful horses in our pasture. It features a queen size bed w/a super comfy mattress, couches, fully equipped kitchen, bathtub/shower, laundry, deck, WIFI, HD TV and access to the hot tub on the back deck. We can set up a sleeping mattress next to the bed if you are a couple with a child. We call this apartment our Casual Contemporary, located just one block from downtown Hamilton. With the budget traveler in mind, this stylish basement apartment has a spacious and open floor plan that is comfortable and well appointed.

The kitchen is the heart of this apartment. As the photos show, it has a practical and roomy layout. The smooth concrete countertops incorporate a large bar stool type dining peninsula that can easily seat four people. A microwave oven, toaster, and and blender, along with many other needed cooking items can be found in the kitchen.

Our main focus in the renovation was to create an “open and well lit environment" and to be able to offer a more "budget minded option" for travelers. Visitors often do not notice that this apartment has only one existing window, yes only one! Through thoughtful planning however, we have created various lighting options throughout the apartment where guest can easily adjust the lighting for different settings; let it be soft warm lighting for a romantic dinner or something more casual as a natural daylight feel. The west wall even has a faux backlit window which gives the feeling of natural light. Being that this is a basement apartment please be aware that you may occasionally hear some creaking from the floor above you, somewhat typical for a building built in 1895.

This large studio apartment measures over 750 square feet with ten foot ceilings in the main living areas. The living room has a 48 inch T.V.
There are two large closets for storage, one is at the entrance area and is great for jackets and outdoor gear, the other is located in the bedroom area.

The bedroom setting is semi private, meaning there is no door separating it from other rooms. A queen size bed is fitted with a soft comforter and four pillows. The large grey metal (file) cabinet (as seen in the photos), serves as a roomy dresser.

The bathroom is accessed through the kitchen area. We hope you find it to be warm and well appointed. It is supplied with towels and toiletries.

The apartment has a private outside entrance which is located at the back of our building. Convenient off street parking is just steps away.

The WESLEY building is located on quiet South 3rd Street, one block from Main Street. Our location is just steps away from downtown, yet it still offers easy access to mountain trails, winter sports, or perhaps a fishing adventure. Hamilton’s best restaurants, from casual to fine dining, are within a short walking distance. There is also a grocery store conveniently located one block away.

Whether you choose to enjoy the original art that enhances the indoors, or to simply relax on the outdoor patio surrounded by flower gardens, we provide all the amenities one would like to enjoy a pleasant holiday.

As this is a community building and in consideration of others and noise, it is not suitable for children under 12 years of age.

This unique late 1800s mining house was given new life with a total renovation over the past couple years. A mix of modern and reclaimed touches give you a sense of the home's history without compromising comfort. Located just three blocks from downtown Philipsburg and the award winning Philipsburg brewery, the old opera house and museums. Property is walking distance to open space to the east. Great views of Pintler mountains and Discovery ski hill from front porch. Minutes from fly fishing, skiing, Georgetown Lake, ghost towns, gem hunting etc. Oh, and the Sweet Palace! An open yet cozy layout with a mix of reclaimed materials and modern touches. A pellet stove provides additional heat and ambiance during the cooler months. Montana's Rock Creek is a 52 mile long blue ribbon trout stream that parallels the Sapphire Mountains in Southwestern Montana. The terrain ranges from gentle to rugged. If you come you will see snow peaked mountains, vast wilderness, sheer granite cliffs, canyons and most importantly Rock Creek has very cold trout water that house rainbow, cutthroat, brown, white and bull trout. It is a fisherman's paradise. Hunters also come to hunt big game in the fall. My most famous guest was Jim Lovell of Apollo 13 fame. He came hunting in 2013. He liked my cabin and said it beat the moon!
We recently added a 12x12 sitting room with a wood stove and made our our porch into an all season porch. My guest love it.
Rock Creek has been a ranching, mining, and logging community for over 100 years. Gem Mountain is a world famous sapphire mine that is just 5 miles up the road from the cabin. You can try your luck at mining your own sapphires. In the 1800s many Indian tribes and mountain men had their rendezvous right in our canyon. If you are lucky you can still find Indian arrow heads.

The Eaglesnest is a high end cabin that has it all. It has 1500 sq. ft. of comfort, beautiful paintings, high ceilings, fans, log beams and a stone propane fireplace to cozy up to in the winter. The cabin has 1 half king and 3 queen size very comfortable top of the line Simmons Beauty Rest beds with pillow tops. Our couches and chairs are cloth or leather. Our pub table will seat 6 and the chairs are padded. It has a complete kitchen with quartz counter tops and a microwave and dishwasher.

The upstairs has a kitchen, one bedroom, a large bathroom with shower tub combination, a washer and dryer. The living room has a 40 inch T.V, Wi-Fi, and a propane fireplace.

The down stairs has a family room with a 48 inch T.V. with a blue ray DVD player and lots of movies. The downstairs has two queen beds and half a King and one bathroom. The cabin can sleeps 5.

The large covered porch is great to just sit and listen to Rock Creek or to view the wildlife. We have seen grizzly bear, black bear, bobcats, Mountain lions, wolves, elk, moose and lots of whitetail and mule deer. The large covered porch has a dining set so you can eat outside. There is a large propane grill outside to cook with.

The Eaglesnest is located 18 miles southwest of Philipsburg on the Skalkaho Pass or highway 38. We are 1 mile from the famous "Ranch at Rock Creek". We are 98 miles from Missoula Airport. We have good paved roads all the way.

Discovery Basin Ski hill is 30 min. from the cabin. George Town Lake is 20 min. away and many wilderness trails for hiking are minutes away. Winter or summer there is always something to do.

This immaculate, quiet guest apartment, which comprises the second story of our log garage, can be rented for a minimum 2 night stay. We also welcome guests for longer stays at significantly reduced weekly and monthly rates. We provide a short-term lease agreement, requiring a damage deposit, for extended stays. We are located minutes from downtown Hamilton (walkable to town and to the river) in a quiet, park-like setting in the foothills of the Bitterroot Mountains. The guest quarters features a large family/game room with two convertible beds, Comfy Sack lounger, fold-up ping-pong table, Wi-Fi, TV, Quadra-Fire gas stove, and two opening skylights. Fully equipped kitchenette contains several countertop appliances, dishes and utensils, as well as convection, microwave, and toaster ovens. Hamilton is located less than an hour away from Missoula, a quintessential mountain university town and cultural hub of western Montana, and a few hours drive of Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks. In addition to state parks and ski areas in the vicinity, there is also a local ski area with world class snow 45 miles south of Hamilton.

THE SPACE

The guest house features a spacious living room, big picture windows with views of the mountains, dining table, kitchenette, one bedroom with queen size bed, and a bathroom with toilet, sink, and standup shower. Room enough for one couple, and option of more (which includes children) with two provided cots upon request. Wifi, cable TV, and A/C are also included. Guests are welcome to enjoy their evenings around the fire pit, or just sit back and enjoy conversations on the deck while taking in the beauty of the Bitterroot Mountains. A shared patio with bbq grill is also available. Washer and Dryer on the property are available upon request at no extra cost.

GUEST ACCESS

Guests will enter through a gated and shared driveway. Two parking spaces are available on the North East corner of the property.

LOCAL AREA ATTRACTIONS

The Bitterroot has so much to offer from shopping, downhill and cross-country skiing, hiking, backpacking, fly fishing, mountain biking, to beach time at Lake Como. The south entrance of the newly constructed RAL trail exists immediately adjacent to the property if you don't feel like venturing too far out for exercise. This is an easy one mile out and back hiking/biking trail that offers spectacular views of the Bitterroot Mountains. The Hamilton downtown is a little over a mile away and offers uniques shops and some good hometown restaurants.

The guesthouse is a one bedroom, one bath apartment located on a hill just above the small town of Darby in the Bitterroot Valley. It is a beautiful quiet get away for 2 to 3 people. It has everything you need to live for short (1 week min) or long term (6 mon max). Great for couples looking for temporary housing in process of moving or home building. Its in the Bitterroot forest at the base of the Bitterroot Rocky mountains and has all the fun associated with the woods including fishing, hunting, skiing, boating and shopping.
