My first concern was the distance from the highway. This, however, was not an issue. The road is in great shape, you can cruise around 60 mph most of the way. Only the last half mile is unpaved and its not bad. Altogether, a wonderful drive. We were met at the main lodge by David, who was an outstanding host. Very pleasant and accommodating, he offered us the guest room in the lodge. The lodge was comfortable and clean, in the style you would expect in a Montana B&B. Breakfast was outstanding, the conversation was good, and grounds were in top shape. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Wild Game Inn to anyone, and hope someday to return. "

"The Scandia House Loft" was a labor of Love, it took two years to restore this former house of Pleasure. In the process of restoration we discovered old coins, whore house tokens, old newspapers ,wooden nickels and other artifacts. It left us with this beautiful place in downtown Hamilton, Montana over The Ponderosa Wine Bar and Bistro... we added a lovely 2nd floor deck with access to the roof top lounge with a fantastic view of the Bitter-root and Sapphire Mountains. This Guest House is right next to North Fork of Bear Creek on the 70 acre Ranch that has views to the west of Bear Creek Canyon, horses grazing in the pasture, & hay pastures. There are chickens for their fresh eggs, friendly dogs, & kitties. White tail deer wander around the place. Birds everywhere. Occasionally coyotes are heard singing at night, & red tail fox are seen. Elk and Moose are here during the winter.
This building was the original chicken coop, enlarged to now a 600 square foot little home. Cedar shake siding with natural rock wainscot. Victor is 32 Miles from Missoula. Bring your bike as there is a paved bike path that runs from Hamilton to Missoula a three minute ride from the guest house.
