All the other neighbors are a long distance away, giving you ample privacy.

The one downside we experienced was the building of a big house smack next door. We were not informed we’d be within spitting distance of a construction site, which I thought was not cool, and future renters should be aware of the new neighbors. But having said that we definitely recommend this wonderful spot."

This cabin made our stay incredible. We slept with the sound of the river in our ears every night. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. It was perfect." - "We met up with two other couples (so 6 people total) in Stanley for the week. This cabin was perfect for us. There is one bedroom downstairs and then upstairs there is a loft with two beds. We couldn't find the second bed until we opened some closet doors (big closet) and there it was. We had a good laugh about it. Although that bed sits on the floor, my husband and I found it comfortable. We are 66 and 69 so getting out of the bed was a little more challenging than the normal beds but it wasn't bad. Just know you might put the younger people on that bed. The cabin was well stocked with towels, Toilet paper, soap, etc. The kitchen had great pans and was well stocked with those random items like spices or oil, etc. I was worried we might have road noise but in all honesty, it didn't bother us at all. The only times we heard vehicles were when the truckers used their jake brakes or a loud motorcycle went by. The wonderful sound of the flowing river may have drowned out the vehicle noise as it wasn't bothersome. Everyone in our group took walks up into Stanley and the field around Stanley. A couple of issues which I've seen mentioned that really weren't that big of a deal is know the water smells highly of Sulphur-which makes sense with all the hot springs around. While it smelled bad, my husband tried it and said it didn't taste bad but bring your own bottled water. The other thing is the pictures really don't do the cabin justice. Would definitely stay there again!"

Completely remodeled rustic small cabin in Stanley proper. This 2 story cabin is famous! Saved and relocated from the North Fork Store property in the Sun Valley area featured in Marilyn Monroe's movie, Bus Stop.

All new finishes and appliances. Open Loft bedroom upstairs, sleeps 4 (queen bed and twin trundle). Living room, kitchen and bathroom are downstairs.

Meadow Creek runs through the property and into Valley Creek just beyond the cabin. Great fishing at the Nature Preserve just a block away. Walk or ride your bike to town. Incredible views of the Sawtooth Mountains.

Please note that wildfires are common in the western states each year July - September. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations outside of our policy window due to smoke. Check in was easy and we were greeted by a clean, fresh cabin when we entered. It has been well updated and has everything you need, including an air conditioner for the bedroom. The outside has been updated since the listing photos were taken - there is now a meadow of wildflowers surrounding the property, as well as a stone patio with two Adirondack chairs right out of the door. We spent a pretty substantial amount of time in those admiring the view! Will definitely be back!"

The "Retreat Suite" is the lower level of our house 30 minutes from U of I in Moscow and 45 minutes from WSU in Pullman.
