The dining area is just past the kitchen which leads into the living room. The open floor plan of the home keeps everyone together during your stay.

The first bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a twin day bed. The bathroom has a large tiled step-in shower and is located between the two bedrooms. The bedroom on the left has beautiful French doors that open into the living room. The living room also has beautiful large picture windows that look out onto the wrap-around deck that boasts a propane firepit and plenty of outside seating.

A small yard is located on the end of the deck which leads you to the beautiful new sauna that has incredible views of Wallowa Lake also! Enjoy your own private boat dock during your stay at the Ottertail Cabin. Read a book, soak up the sun, listen to music, browse on your phone, however you choose to spend your days, this home will be intertwined with all the memories of your stay at Wallowa Lake.

THINGS TO KNOW
Seasonal private docks are typically placed for Memorial Day thru Labor Day. These are placed and pulled by a 3rd party and several variables come into play such as lake levels, snow and company availability. We do our best, but these items are non refundable items if a problem occurs with their timing of putting in the water and pulling from the water.
Seasonal bbqs are available from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. BBQs are propane and tanks are provided. We strongly encourage you to review your tank level in the morning and if a replacement is needed please reach out to your local contact for a tank replacement.
Occupancy and parking can not be exceeded.
No fires or firepits are ever allowed due to the heavy timbered area and county restrictions but the propane fireplace is allowed.
Winter Rentals: We always recommend 4x4, chains or studded tires to get to our winter open houses. Some renters have better traction tires and can access the homes without them but we don't recommend it. Also, weather changes rapidly in our mountain location. We always suggest preparing for the worst. Also, many Les Schwab Tire Centers have the ability to purchase tire chains, and if you don't use them, will take them on return.

Time Out offers accommodations in Joseph, 9.2 miles from Wallowa Lake State Park. Guests can use the hot tub or enjoy lake views. Provides a restful haven to relax your mind and renew your spirit. The facility was once the working bronze studio of local well known artist J. Shirley Bothum. Sleeps 6 studio style w privacy walls including one King Bed room w/ private river deck, one Queen room and a futon in main living area. This is a traditional studio space and so the wall dividers are industrial style and do not provide an enclosed room, but do provide plenty of privacy with extremely comfortable beds. We can accommodate pets, as long as they stay off of the furniture and beds, for a small additional $10 fee per pet per night. We have a small kennel and igloo dog house, pets are not to be left unattended in the rooms. We have paddock and pasture facilities for the equine guests as well (see additional charges of $10/night). Studio includes work space, free wifi and appointed kitchenette with large dining table and an outdoor grill. The studio and riverfront deck can accommodate small events beautifully. Our private space is two minutes from town but feels a world away.

This home has one of the best locations in our opinion! Located on the northwest side of Wallowa Lake, you'll enjoy the day's sun for longer while you sit out in the grassy area! The bedrooms and a bathroom are up a short flight of stairs, and both bedrooms have new king beds. The living and dining rooms are open, both with sweeping views of Wallowa Lake!

The Backcountry Bungalow is a wonderful romantic retreat or escape for your small family. The cute knotty pine interior takes you back in time, providing a sweet, rustic, cabin-in-the-woods feel.

Relax and unwind with plenty of living room seating and a dining table that sits in front of a glass sliding door that frames your fenced backyard. In that lovely outdoor space, you'll have a Trex-type deck with a built-in picnic table and a seasonal grill for afternoon barbecues. Luckily, the yard backs up to a vacant natural area with lots of natural grasses and trees, making you feel a little more removed from the activities on the resort side of Wallowa Lake.

Through the living room is a galley-like kitchen with just enough space to comfortably prepare meals and another door that opens to the backyard. At night, you'll find that the bedroom has an adjoining bathroom (with a shower stall only).

While the home does not have air conditioning, two box fans are provided to keep you cool and comfortable during your stay.

This sweet little cabin is the perfect place for your couple's retreat, your small family vacation, or an opportunity to get away from it all!
