The yard is flat and well maintained, with a bridge that takes you to the river, making this the perfect cabin for children and adults alike! Inside this adorable cabin is a knotty-pine all-wood interior. The living room has a propane fireplace, a flatscreen TV, and comfortable seating. The kitchen is equipped with all the things you'll need to prepare wonderful meals and shares an open floor plan with the living room, so the cook can partake in the group's conversation. The living room also has beautiful large picture windows that look out onto the wrap-around deck that boasts a propane firepit and plenty of outside seating.

A small yard is located on the end of the deck which leads you to the beautiful new sauna that has incredible views of Wallowa Lake also! Enjoy your own private boat dock during your stay at the Ottertail Cabin. Read a book, soak up the sun, listen to music, browse on your phone, however you choose to spend your days, this home will be intertwined with all the memories of your stay at Wallowa Lake.

Seasonal private docks are typically placed for Memorial Day thru Labor Day. These are placed and pulled by a 3rd party and several variables come into play such as lake levels, snow and company availability. We do our best, but these items are non refundable items if a problem occurs with their timing of putting in the water and pulling from the water.

Winter Rentals: We always recommend 4x4, chains or studded tires to get to our winter open houses. We always suggest preparing for the worst. Also, many Les Schwab Tire Centers have the ability to purchase tire chains, and if you don't use them, will take them on return.

Provides a restful haven to relax your mind and renew your spirit. The facility was once the working bronze studio of local well known artist J. Shirley Bothum. Sleeps 6 studio style w privacy walls including one King Bed room w/ private river deck, one Queen room and a futon in main living area. This is a traditional studio space and so the wall dividers are industrial style and do not provide an enclosed room, but do provide plenty of privacy with extremely comfortable beds. We can accommodate pets, as long as they stay off of the furniture and beds, for a small additional $10 fee per pet per night. We have a small kennel and igloo dog house, pets are not to be left unattended in the rooms. We have paddock and pasture facilities for the equine guests as well (see additional charges of $10/night). Studio includes work space, free wifi and appointed kitchenette with large dining table and an outdoor grill. The studio and riverfront deck can accommodate small events beautifully. Our private space is two minutes from town but feels a world away.

The Backcountry Bungalow is a wonderful romantic retreat or escape for your small family. The cute knotty pine interior takes you back in time, providing a sweet, rustic, cabin-in-the-woods feel.

Relax and unwind with plenty of living room seating and a dining table that sits in front of a glass sliding door that frames your fenced backyard. In that lovely outdoor space, you'll have a Trex-type deck with a built-in picnic table and a seasonal grill for afternoon barbecues. Luckily, the yard backs up to a vacant natural area with lots of natural grasses and trees, making you feel a little more removed from the activities on the resort side of Wallowa Lake.

Through the living room is a galley-like kitchen with just enough space to comfortably prepare meals and another door that opens to the backyard. At night, you'll find that the bedroom has an adjoining bathroom (with a shower stall only).

While the home does not have air conditioning, two box fans are provided to keep you cool and comfortable during your stay.

We offer a 12 x 17 Montana Canvas Wall tent which is sitting on a solid pine platform. The tent has electricity, a platform bed with a new foam mattress, and lush linens. A Cabela's style Lugaloo serves as your potty. A wood stove (we supply the wood) will keep you warm on cool evenings. Propane cooking, pots and pans, and a small refrigerator make this tent a comfortable home extraordinaire. Behind the Tent is a wonderful outdoor shower with heated water!

The view is incredible. Wildlife at your steps with a view of the Wallowa Mountains. The frogs will sing you to sleep. Only two miles from the charming town of Joseph, and minutes from Wallowa Lake, hiking trails, fishing and more.

Upon entry, the living room opens to the kitchenette and dining area. The kitchenette features a toaster oven, crockpot, and a gas stovetop (no oven). To your left of the living room is a queen bedroom and twin bunk beds in a small nook off of the bedroom. Back in the living room is comfortable seating and a TV. Near the kitchenette and dining area is a door to the small enclosed private back deck with a seven-foot privacy fence. A full bathroom has a shower stall.

A wraparound front deck has lots of outside seating and a grill for family cookouts. To the back of the house is an open forest-type area and the best little wooden teepee that a six-year-old can create!

This is the perfect little cabin that not only snuggles you in during the day or evening but is close enough to walk to the activities at the resort side of Wallowa Lake, like the Tramway, the bumper boats, go-karts, and putt-putt golf! With a prime location right on the Wallowa River, this is a place to return to year after year. This base camp is located on the lower level of a large home with its own private entrance down two flights of stairs - think mother-in-law apartment in reverse.

Sometimes the river is really moving along - soothing sounds you can take in from the large concrete patio with plenty of lawn and dining furniture. When you step inside, the bedroom is on your right, the bathroom in front of you, and the living/kitchen/dining area to the left. The bedroom has plenty of room and the newly remodeled bathroom has beautiful tile work in the shower stall. The living room and the kitchen have been recently updated as well. Having everything you need in one place makes this the perfect spot to relax after a day spent exploring Wallowa Lake.

The natural-yet-maintained yard is big enough for the little ones to play in, but please note that it does open right to the Wallowa River without a fence. When you're ready for a break from the sun, the interior stays nice and cool in the summer, as it is a daylight basement nestled in the trees.

The all-wood interior provides that cabin-in-the-woods feel and the living room and kitchen have an open floor plan that keeps everyone together. There are many large picture windows offering unobstructed views of Wallowa Lake and the east moraine. The home has two bedrooms. The first bedroom on the right has a queen and is a few steps from the full bathroom which offers a shower and a washer/dryer. This adorable petite home has been well thought out and is equipped with everything you need for a dream vacation in a small footprint. Our home has been carefully curated and boasts original art pieces as well as fun bright and cheery furnishings. With its many large windows and southern exposure, it is a sun and fun filled oasis! While it may have a small footprint, it offers some amazing amenities. The private sleeping loft showcases a comfortable queen-size mattress, while the open loft offers a full-size mattress. While best suited for two, a couple with two children can sleep comfortably. In addition, Wingin’ It has a fully stocked bathroom with an impressive full size tile shower and large mirror. We use only the finest spa quality bedding. The Kitchen and dining area includes a full-sized refrigerator, stove and dishwasher with a large deep sink. The kitchen has a bar area with seating for two and is also a great place to work from your computer. There are TV trays if you choose to sit in the living room area to work or eat. A comfortable outdoor spot is outfitted with a grill and patio set so you can enjoy the 360-degree views. Our unit is pet friendly for a small well-behaved dog and we have an available covered kennel. There is absolutely NO smoking, no parties and no more than 4 people and 2 cars.

You'll be less than a block from the go-carts and mini-golf. Use the free WiFi to research a new outdoor adventure then take advantage of the nearby resort-side activities.

The tiny house is located at the edge of our wellness space, with the downstairs building housing massage, acupuncture yoga etc. We are in the heart of downtown so you can hear the hustle and bustle as things pick up in the summer. There is a king mattress in the upstairs loft of the tiny house with a pull out queen couch near the eating nook. There is a fridge, stove, oven and shower as well as infrared sauna and hammock to enjoy right outside your door.

Other things to note
Pups are welcome but there is an extra fee of $30 just for the extra cleanup that their hair requires 🐶. We also ask that they stay downstairs. Thanks!

The Riverside Suite, newly remodeled, is located in the spacious lower half of a large residence beside the Wallowa River. Guests will enjoy a private deck and private entrance. The suite is 1 bedroom with 2 queen beds. It has a kitchenette (no oven) and a gas grill on the deck. Please note that we do not provide bed linens or bath towels, guests must provide their own. We also do not allow pets.

The space
Riverside Suite is located within Park At The River, an established resort property. On the property there are 2 other cabins and 57 RV sites plus a laundromat, men's & women's restrooms and an office where guests check-in. Propane fire pits are available to rent if desired. There is always a member of the staff on the property.

The entire suite and its deck, plus any public buildings on the property such as restrooms and laundry.

Other things to note
The Riverside Suite does not come with bed linens or bath towels. Guests must supply these items themselves. Mattresses are protected with covers that are washed between guests. We also do not allow and have never allowed pets in this space, for those allergic. The Suite was fully renovated/remodeled in 2024.

The space
Ponderosa Prairie

This cozy cabin is perfect for a couple or a small family! Located at the south end of Wallowa Lake, giving you easy access to the activities at Wallowa Lake. Enjoy the wilderness during the day, but snuggle into your cabin to 'rough' it in style!

Upon entry, the living room opens to the kitchenette and dining area. The kitchenette features a toaster oven, crockpot, and a gas stovetop (no oven). To your left of the living room is a queen bedroom and twin bunk beds in a small nook off of the bedroom. Back in the living room is comfortable seating and a TV. Near the kitchenette and dining area is a door to the small enclosed private back deck with a seven-foot privacy fence. A full bathroom has a shower stall.

A wraparound front deck has lots of outside seating and a grill for family cookouts. To the back of the house is an open forest-type area and the best little wooden teepee that a six-year-old can create!

This is the perfect little cabin that not only snuggles you in during the day or evening but is close enough to walk to the activities at the resort side of Wallowa Lake, like the Tramway, the bumper boats, go-karts, and putt-putt golf! Be within a short walk of the activities at the Wallowa Lake Marina, boat launch, and day-use area because they are roughly four blocks away.

Echo Lake -Lower

Echo Lake (Lower) is located on the resort side of Wallowa Lake! You'll be just a short walk from Vali's Alpine Restaurant, and you can always adventure up Mt. Howard by taking the Wallowa Lake Tramway! This is a ground-level, three-bedroom, two-bath duplex with an easy entry and just a few blocks from the Scenic Meadows Go-Carts. You'll have a private side yard for outdoor relaxing that is often shared with many of our local deer. Inside, you'll have a large dining area, a spacious living room, and a gas fireplace. The first bedroom has a king bed, the second bedroom has a queen, the third room has a double, with a queen sleeper sofa available in the living room. The first bathroom has a jetted tub and the second bathroom has a shower. The private washer and dryer are located in the third bedroom.

Please strip the bed, put your laundry in the the laundry room, wash your dishes, return furniture to its original location and take the garbage out. When you are done the house should only require a light final cleaning to get it ready for the next guest. Failure to preform these niceties will result in a cleaning fee of $100.

When I stay in the house I keep the front door locked and enter and exit from the back. Many people assume if a property is on Main Street it is pubic.

Media piracy is a crime. My internet provider takes note of file sharing and will turn off the internet connection if it happens.

Keep it simple at this peaceful and great location, half a block from anything you might want in downtown Joseph!
There is a queen sized bed in its own bedroom, then 2 twin sized beds in the sitting room which does not have a door, one folds out of an ottoman if you would like to use it please let us know and we will have it prepared. We have a mini fridgea double burner under the cabinet in the kitchen, a microwave air fryerand a BBQ on the deck that also has a burner on the sidebut no stove.

Mount Bonneville is located on the resort side of Wallowa Lake, so you'll be within easy walking distance of the Wallowa Lake Tramway, the Wallowa Lake Pack Station, all sorts of hiking trails, and a number of other activities. The lovely wooden exterior and the knotty pine interior make you feel as though you're stepping back in time - but with modern amenities to greet you once you're there.

This cozy cabin offers plenty of space for a family trip or a romantic weekend. Enjoy a free-standing gas fireplace in the living room that sets the mood for relaxation, a sweet little skylight above the living room couch, and a small but mighty kitchen with all the amenities you need to cook your meals and enjoy your time together. The TV room is off of the living room, offering a closable door for additional privacy and a smaller couch for children and teens. The large deck on the back offers a quiet retreat with the river burbling along nearby. The yard is flat and well maintained, with a bridge that takes you to the river, making this the perfect cabin for children and adults alike! Inside this adorable cabin is a knotty-pine all-wood interior. The living room has a propane fireplace, a flatscreen TV, and comfortable seating. The kitchen is equipped with all the things you'll need to prepare wonderful meals and shares an open floor plan with the living room, so the cook can partake in the group's conversation. Both bedrooms are outfitted with comfortable queen beds and the bathroom includes a shower/tub combo. You'll also find a washer and dryer in the utility room. This is one of the most popular vacation rentals at the resort side of Wallowa Lake. Even though it is situated at the end of a road, it is a short walk to the Wallowa Lake State Park, the Wallowa Lake Marina, the Wallowa Lake Tramway, and more fun activities at the south end of Wallowa Lake!

This remodeled trailer sits in the middle of farm country with panoramic views of the valley and the stunning Wallowa Mountains! You will be minutes to the cute town of Joseph Oregon and the gorgeous Wallowa Lake and all the amenities it has to offer!

The space
This trailer has a large slide to maximize the space! It is light and bright with lots of windows. The RV queen bed is perfect for two! The sofa sleeper is a bit smaller and is ideal for one adult or two children.

The space
A-Frame Retreat at Wallowa Lake

The 3 C's Cottage at Wallowa Lake sits just a few blocks' walk off the main road, but it still feels quite private and serene. Enjoy a large yard, a nice picnic area with plentiful outdoor seating, views of the surrounding mountains, and easy access to the activities on the resort side of Wallowa Lake.

The spacious, open floor plan is consistent on both levels. The main level offers a galley-like kitchen, a dining area, and a living room, keeping everyone involved in what's going on. The bathroom has a stall shower and the main-floor bedroom has a queen bed.

Climb the steep steps up to the loft, where you'll find more sleeping space and a half-bath. It's the perfect space for kids to unwind (but watch the stairs)!

This home is located on the resort side of Wallowa Lake, within easy walking distance of the Wallowa Lake Tramway, Scenic Meadows Go Carts, and the Wallowa Lake Marina. If simply hanging out is more your speed, there's a nice concrete patio out front with ample lawn furniture and a nicely maintained yard.

THINGS TO KNOW
Seasonal bbqs are available from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. BBQs are propane and tanks are provided. We strongly encourage you to review your tank level in the morning and if a replacement is needed please reach out to your local contact for a tank replacement.
No cable service, but there is a Roku/VCR/DVD.
Please note that there is a steep staircase leading up to the loft area that may not be accessible for all guests; also, please note that there is a gate at the top of the stairs and while the stairs are lit well, caution is always necessary.
No fires or firepits are ever allowed due to the heavy timbered area and county restrictions.
Do not exceed the occupancy or parking limits at any time.
EV vehicles are not allowed to be plugged into the house.
No dog(s) are welcome in this home. No other animals are allowed without specific Vacasa approval.

The Red Horse Retreat in downtown Joseph was once a a local's favorite cafe and coffee shop that has since been transformed into a bright and charming vacation home in the heart of downtown Joseph. The Red Horse now features two large living areas, expansive decks next to the creek with great views of the Wallowa Mountains , an "almost full" kitchen, and sleeping for six guests with a king, queen and double bed. You'll love the bright spaces, the charming touches, and the awesome location.

The space
The Red Horse Retreat has been transformed from a popular cafe and coffee shop, to a sunny, cozy, vacation home. The space is charming, funky, and filled with great light and good energy. You can expect:

--Two large living rooms with comfy couches, cozy blankets, television and wifi throughout.
--A sunny dining area with a bar that looks out at the Wallowa Mountains, and a dining table with seating for up to six people.
--A king bedroom with lots of light and sliding glass doors that lead to the backyard. The king room has barn doors that lead into the kitchen and into the second bedroom.*
--A second bedroom houses a queen bed and a double bed that are split with a 3/4 wall and privacy screen. Guests sleeping in this space will not see each other, but can expect to hear each other through the privacy screen.
--Expansive outdoor spaces and lots of outdoor furniture.
--Situated right next to a year-round creek, the gorgeous views are some of the best in town.

Please note, we consider the bedrooms "adjoined." There are barn doors, curtains and blinds that will give you visual privacy around each bed, however, the makeup of the architecture limits audio privacy--You will likely hear each other from each bedroom space.

This property sits alongside a creek. While it isn’t fast moving or especially deep, we are cautious about recommending bringing children under the age of 2. And all children should have adult supervision near the water at all times.

Knotty Pine Cabin

The Knotty Pine is located at the resort side of Wallowa Lake, making it easy to walk to all the activities that are popular in the summer. Winter guests can also snuggle up with a book, enjoy their favorite movies, and play board games on chilly afternoons! The open floor plan between the kitchen, dining, and living areas will keep everyone together, no matter what the day brings. The home features an attractive all-wood interior in every room, and there is an attractive wood-burning fireplace in the living room with a Smart TV and a gas furnace in the dining area, plus new flooring throughout. The full kitchen features new countertops and appliances. The large enclosed deck enjoys a beautiful view of the mountains, making this the perfect place to unwind while your little ones play.
