Hello! Welcome to the Shady Rest, in the small town of Hot Springs MT. The hot springs are our main attraction, with plenty of other sites to see around the area. The Shady Rest is small, and cozy, a queen bed ,twin, a fold out couch in the living room. A back patio, with a BBQ , a firepit, and a fenced in yard. Big Arm State Park is just around the corner from us and has a nice boat launch available. A wedding venue is next door to the property so very convenient for wedding parties.

This custom home features 3 Bedrooms plus a sleeping loft, 2 baths and a rec room with plenty of parking. You will enjoy your time on beautiful Flathead Lake with your family in this 2600 square foot home located on 100 feet of Flathead Lake frontage between Big Arm and Elmo.

On the main floor, there is an open floor plan with a kitchen, dining, fireplace and living room with large floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking Flathead Lake. The dining room has a table that seats 6 and there is a bar that seats 3 people. Large sliding doors take you outside to the deck where you will be able to BBQ, relax and enjoy the view and beautiful summer weather. The master bedroom, one bathroom and large laundry room complete the main floor. Up a staircase in your loft, you will find it nicely appointed with two sleeper chairs that make into twin beds plus a fold out couch. Downstairs there is another family room with seating, a fireplace, flat screen TV, DVD player and room for little ones to play, and two bedrooms and a bath complete the lower level. There are sliding glass doors that walk out onto a second deck on the lower level.

The master bedroom contains a king bed and joins the bathroom on the main floor. The two bedrooms in the lower level are queen bedrooms, the loft includes a queen sleeper sofa, and two chairs that each make into twin beds.

Your family can play on the beach down at the water’s edge, make yummy S'mores in the fire pit located down by the water, enjoy sunbathing on the floating dock, and experience water activities on a paddleboat, kayaks and stand up paddleboards, which are included for your convenience. As long as the water is calm, you can tie up your boat to the floating dock, but if there are any waves, we ask you to tie your boat to the buoy out in the water.

The kitchen is fully appointed with a BBQ grill on the deck, beach towels, fresh towels and linens complement your stay.

We are situated on a lovely lane that connects to Big Arm State park, which you can walk down each morning before you start your day of fun water and sun activities. Polson is a short 15 mile drive from our house, where you can find shopping, a movie theater and many activities throughout the summer. Big Fork is 39 miles away where you can enjoy a play at the renowned Big Fork Summer Playhouse and many fine restaurants. Kalispell International airport is approximately 46 miles away and the train station in Whitefish is 53 miles away. Glacier Park is only a 72 mile drive, which can easily be made into a day trip during your stay if you choose to visit one the prettiest national parks in the United States.

One of two guest cabins located in the middle of upland bird country, this remodeled cabin is nestled in the hills of the Flathead Indian Reservation. Enjoy a private get-a-way on a privately owned 5000 acre plus 5000 acre leased cattle ranch. The cabin has 2 bedrooms plus a loft with a bed and a privacy curtain. It also has an un-attached guest room. The cabin does NOT have a land line and there is cell service, although the weather can limit this at times. There is a corral for guests to use if they would like to bring their own horses. This ranch is home to black bears, mule deer and about 6oo head of elk. Guests will have access to explore the entire ranch and enjoy amazing views of wildlife in their natural setting as well as some old homestead sites. While this is not a "dude ranch", it is a working ranch with everything done on horseback and the family would welcome you to observe the different activities that take place day to day. Branding season, gathering and sorting are especially great opportunities for photography. This "off the grid" vacation cabin is a dream destination for bird watchers and photographers. - "You can't beat the views at this cabin! The sunrise and sunset are incredible! Yes, it is remote, but that is one of the things we loved about it. The cabin has everything you need to make your stay comfortable-kitchen is stocked, beds are comfortable, the AC in the loft and the many fans made the temperature in the cabin comfortable even on a hot day. Tammy was great with communication from the start of the booking to our drive home. She gave us a tour of their beautiful ranch and we were able to meet some of the animals as well! Tammy also gave us some hiking recommendations in the area. The cabin is about 2.5 hours to the West Entrance of Glacier National Park and about 40 minutes to Flathead Lake. I love bird watching and saw many species of birds that I had not seen before. We loved sitting outside and enjoying the peace and quiet! Our stay at the cabin was amazing and we were sad to leave!"

Private lake frontage [225 feet] with beautiful, newly constructed cabin and bunkhouse [2014] with waterfront fire pit and new dock. The main cabin has a double sofa pullout bed on the main floor accompanied by double bunk beds in the loft that are double beds on bottom and single beds on top. Also on the main floor is a 50 inch flat screen tv with DirecTV and dvd player accompanied by a full kitchen with small kitchen table and window air conditioner along with a full bathroom. The living room leads out to a wonderful large deck through a set of french doors overlooking the lake and the Mission mountains. The second smaller cabin [bunkhouse] has two additional sets of bunk beds, all of which are doubles. The bunkhouse also has a 40 inch flatscreen tv with dvd player and it's own air conditioner and a set of french doors leading out to a nice deck overlooking the lake. There is also a brand new master suite cabin that has a king bed and it's own master bath. It has air conditioning and a 40 inch tv as well. In front of the main cabin is a very large deck that sits out over the lake with a pergola, b-b-q, and comfortable seating area with a propane fire pit. There is an additional out building above the cabin that has a washer/dryer, spare refrigerator, toilet and an outdoor shower. Extra items on the property include a trampoline, hammock by the water and a basketball hoop in the driveway.
The property is very private on a large lot within 5-10 minutes of the closest restaurants and 20 minutes to shopping in nearby Polson and Lakeside and exactly 17 miles in either direction from the cabin. We are located 90 minutes north of Missoula or 35 minutes south of Kalispel which have the closest airports.

Relax on the deck with an amazing view of 3 islands and sail boats in Big Arm bay. Take a walk down to the beach or marina. Big Arm Boat Rental is just down the hill with a wide variety of toys and chartered boat rides to Wild Horse Island. The interior is remodeled, and the yard is maturing. I will strive to exceed your expectations.

A luxury camping tent is on the back of the property listed separately or you can reserve it for added space.

A mini-split for your heating & cooling needs will keep you comfortable as you enjoy the leather furniture with a view in a large living room. Shaded picnic table and outdoor entertaining area with a gas grill. Huge dining table for food or social games. Well stocked kitchen with pots, pans and spices. Wi-Fi and a 65` flat screen for gaming or streaming movies with Roku. Outdoor fire pit is usable at this time with seating and some firewood. Yard Yahtzee and croquette are available to play. Adding a Glamping tent this spring, ask for details.

Gas barbecue with the tools needed for cooking. Picnic table, rockers and outdoor chairs enclosed in the big fenced yard with a firepit. Although I do not have lake access from my property, Big Arm Marina is a short walk down the hill and 2 state parks with wonderful docks and swimming areas are both within a mile.

Self check in with an electronic keypad door lock, code given prior to check-in. I will be working on the property projects when not booked. Current projects are the bathhouse & glamping tent at the back of the property and landscaping.

The neighbors are quiet and friendly. Some dogs barking occasionally. There are picnic tables, a boat ramp and boat slips available at the marina. Big Arm boat rental has a large inventory of toys and chartered boat rides to Wild Horse Island or fishing trips. A short walk down the hill to get there. There are 2 State parks with swimming areas and docks within 2 miles

You are 12 miles from a grocery store, the marina down the hill has a small convenience store. There is no Uber available

If you need meal packages I can have the kitchen stocked for you to cook or deliver from Polson restaurants, let me know your requests.
We also have a GlampCamp on the back of the property - the yard and privacy fence provide a good buffer.
Tent includes, heater, queen memory foam bed, futon, small fridge, coffee maker, and a deck with a Blackstone grill for cooking. There is a private bathhouse with shower. This will accommodate added family or an additional couple.

- "Excellent location, cozy, with wonderful view. But what truly sets this property apart is that the host thought of EVERYTHING!! The fridge and pantry were stocked. There was every kind of toiletry in the bathroom. There was fresh fruit, candy, and even cold beer (though we don’t drink). There were little “welcome” gift bags for both my husband and I. I have stayed with friends and family members who weren’t this welcoming and accommodating. Highly recommend!!"

Remodeled all throughout, plus new crib dock and buoy. This home was remodeled throughout in 2022. It features four bedrooms and three baths, large kitchen with a pantry, island, living room and built in banquet dining area. Every bedroom features a large closet and is connected to a bathroom. The property has a lovely orchard, level lot from the house to the lake with beautiful views of Flathead Lake. Filled with great amenities!

The house was well appointed, everything functioned as it should. Lanni and Curt keep the place well maintained and were very attentive to our needs. The only item I'd point out to be aware of is that two of the beds shown on the listing as Queen size are actually only full sized mattresses on queen frames. Minor issue (except for my 6'3" son-in-law who lost the draw for the king bed). Would absolutely come back!"

Master suite is situated in the loft - along with private bathroom, you will also have access to a walk in closet and of course more views.
The first floor features a living room, bedroom, bathroom and laundry room - this floor will give you the most privacy as it also has it's own entrance.

Fabulous and private mountaintop retreat with breathtaking views of Flathead Lake, Wild Horse Island, and Chief Cliff Mountain. Nestled in a serene wildlife area with visits from Deer, Elk, Bear and multiple bird species. Hiking abounds.

The house is designed for gourmet cooking and entertaining! Also, there is a very friendly outdoor farm cat that may visit. Please leave your pets at home.

- "This cabin turned out to be a really nice, cozy place to stay for my wife, son, and I. I believe we were the first guests to stay at this property. The hostess Kim was very nice and made sure we always had everything we needed and more--including fresh eggs from her chickens! There are lots of windows on two sides of the cabin that provide an awesome view of the mountains and Flathead Lake. We had a few minor suggestions for improvements for future guests, but overall this was a great place to stay, and we would be happy to stay here again."

The "Little Bitterroot" can sleep up to 2-people. It sits in the middle of the incredible natural mineral springs which are just minutes away. It has 1 queen bed, heat, Wi-Fi, and a small fridge. There is an incredible bathhouse with 2 large walk-in showers and 2 toilets.

Gunbarrel Studio Cabin will be your own private oasis. The cabin has its own private parking and deck, exclusively for your use. The 5.8-acre property is shared with the main house, Gunbarrel Ranch House. While the main house and its amenities (including, but not limited to the hot tub, driveways and the lawn) are not accessible to guests, you can fully enjoy the privacy and tranquility of the studio cabin during your stay.
