- "My husband wanted to give this hotel 100 stars. He loved the hotel, the rooms were huge each of my kids had their own bed. The kitchen was definitely a plus and everything was extremely clean. Front desk staff was AMAZING!!!! Check in and out were a breeze. Breakfast was ok not too many options, my husband loved it but breakfast could use a little more of options. Washer and dryer were a reasonable price which was a plus for us. The beds were very comfortable, will definitely stay at this hotel again and hopefully other Home2Suites are just like this one because it’s the only hotel my husband wants form now on because of the experience we had in this specific location. The space
1950’s brick ranch with so much charm. There are 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. Bedrooms have a queen bed in one and a full bed in the other.
Two couches fold out into a full and twin sleeper. Sleeps 7 guests comfortably.

Welcome to the Lakeside Loft!

This rental is a one bedroom, one bathroom over-garage apartment (with separate stairway entrance) that sleeps up to four people. Bedroom includes a queen bed and spacious closet. Washer and dryer are also included inside the loft. Two additional wall bunks adjacent to the living room sleep up to 220lbs a piece. Newly renovated bathroom features a spa-like rain showerhead, beautiful tile, fogless mirror, and abundant under sink storage. Dining room table seats up to four people. Kitchen includes all needed amenities such as stove & oven, full sized fridge, freezer ice maker, pots and pans, toaster, blender, and microwave. The living room includes a large L-shaped sofa centered in front of a 65 inch flat screen TV, perfect for winding down a busy day. Internet for your streaming services is included. The loft also includes a spacious balcony overlooking the beautiful Lake Varner.

Kayaks (3) are available for rental at an additional cost. Please contact host in advance if you are interested in renting for the duration of your stay.

There is a local boat ramp two miles away from the Lakeside Loft (this is a reservoir and no gas motors are allowed on the lake).

The host was quick to answer any questions and their sweet pup Hazel provided us with our much needed “doggy fix” after being away from our dog for some time. - "There was somebody living there when I went there " - "I am highly disappointed in VRBO and this property. First, I was bothered by the fact that I had no secondary lock inside the room to guarantee safety. No safety chain, nothing. Only an inside door separating from her space. I immediately noticed how hot the room was, and, immediately ask for the air to be lowered. There was no AC return in the room. It was miserable. GA is hot and humid!!!!! Communication with the owner was no issue. However, the fact that I had no control over a thermostat, which resulted in a room staying average of 85°, isn’t okay. I had to open the french doors (only entryway, no screen) in the middle of the night to be somewhat comfortable. Why? Because I had no flat sheet to cover up with. Only a comforter! After NUMEROUS written request for her to lower the AC, her response was, “It gets too cold upstairs. Shared thermostat life, sorry!” After the next response of me begging for a fan or lower AC, she tells me to “use ceiling fan.” Had to buy my own toilet paper, coffee pot didn’t work properly, and I won’t even start with the cosmetics. VRBO did nothing to “make this right” and this was officially the LAST TIME I give them any business. By the way, while VRBO did their “research”, the listing was removed."

We were on a girls trip celebrating one of the gals 50th birthday. Porsche had each one of us a little gift wrapped with our favorite colors. A bottle of wine sitting in an ice bucket waiting for our arrival. We enjoyed our stay. Important to note that this is not self check in. The host will have to buzz you in the gate and meet with you to go over details, etc. We felt safe there. The only thing that was bothersome is that there is a camera right on you and the front door. It verbally says “Recording” each time you or someone in your party goes in or out the front door. Some of us were up earlier than others, and when they would go out the door, it would walk some of the girls up. Kinda felt awkward knowing you were always being recorded. I understand the reasoning. I think maybe it would be less.”in your face” if it were located at the bottom of the stairwell when you’re entering and not on the porch at the door. We all loved the place and will stay there again if ever in the area."

The host cancelled our reservation 2hrs prior to check in - our reservation was made months in advance and paid in full...she didn’t even let us know. I discovered the cancellation after I was trying to reach out to her/host about the check in process! Then she lied about why she canceled...then when I told her that this was awful and unacceptable customer service she stated I was harassing her because I called to find out why she canceled then she hung up on me. All of this after lying, stating that the property couldnt be cleaned in time due to my booking being last min, which it wasn’t....VRBO and local authorities told me it was fraud and this has happened to others, sane host and the same property. BEWARE!!!"

- "Lovely and quaint, the cottage is set on a very large lot with outdoor spaces galore. It felt like our home as we were so comfy and truly enjoyed the house itself. Multiple indoor and outdoor relaxation spaces and room for a group to gather and celebrate. Perfect for two old friends to reconnect yet have our individual spaces with 2 bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Lots of dishes and cookware to use so just stop by the store on your way and you are ready to go. I would recommend and would stay there again. Downtown Covington is less than a ten minute drive."
