Come enjoy a getaway cabin on 3 wooded acres in the quiet peaceful Rio Vista Community. Rio Vista provides a private park with swimming, picnic area, restrooms, and boat ramp. We do have four 10ft kayaks and double kayak, that comes with your rental. Also provided is a roof rack to take your kayaks to the park or a golf cart you can rent. You can put them in at the community park that is 2 min. away. For larger boats, a public boat ramp is 15 minutes away in Dunnellon. We are located within minutes of KP Hole, restaurants and shopping while a close 5 minutes to the fishing, kayaking and tubing of the Rainbow River. The cabin provides a relaxing atmosphere for a week-end getaway. The cabin décor is a great combination of rustic Old Florida and Bass Pro Shop. We have most of the “bells and whistles” you would expect in a two bedroom, 1.5 bath Florida A-Frame cabin. Flat screen smart TV, dish cable, net flix, and Hughes Net satallite internet, updated kitchen but no dishwasher. The downstairs master bedroom enjoys a king-size bed with a full bath. Upstairs guests enjoy a comfortable queen bed and 1/2 bathroom. There is a double Futon for added sleeping. A wrap around porch provides opportunity for outside enjoyment of the Florida sunshine. The Pool can be heated for $15 a night, $75 for the week and $125 for the month. The temperature is set at 83 degrees. It could go higher with lots of sun and use of the solar blanket. January we have some pretty cold days so I cannot heat unless a 2 week notice is given to guarantee heat to 83 degrees when you arrive. If the temperature stays below freezing for an extended time the pool cannot be heated. It is an electric heater. The pool cover will need to be rolled out at night and rolled up if swimming during the day.
We are located within the Rio Vista Community of Dunnellon. KP Hole and Rainbow River State Pare are close by. We are located within minutes of restaurants and shopping.
After a day of outside activities come sit poolside with your own outside bar area (BYOB), beverage cooler, TV, deck with a gas grill, and table for 6 for outside dining. Take a night swim in the pool using the beach entry.
There is a community park just a few minutes walk or rent the golf cart and drive it down with our kayaks or canoe to the boat ramp on the Rainbow River.
The house is decorated with a coastal cottage feel from the coffee bar to the picket fence headboard in the master bedroom. The living room furniture is very comfortable with and oversized recliner and U-shaped sectional. The front of the house has a glassed sunroom for added seating for your relaxation.
Both bedrooms have queen size beds and the sun room has a queen futon with its own air conditioner and heater. Master bathrooms has a tub/shower combo and guest bath has walk in shower.
We have xfinity Wi-Fi and smart TV. Netflix and fubo tv provided. We also have games, movies, and books for your entertainment.

Wraparound deck, two docks, and 150 feet of waterfront. The main dock is shaded all summer with gently wide stairs to the swim area. The second dock is set up for you to bring your own boat and tie up to the cleats there. Paddle boards, float tubes, and kayaks to enjoy the crystal clear river. There's even a crystal clear spring (now dubbed Otter Spring) 25 yards from the main dock. Especially wide part of the river creates a more relaxing setting, with daily visits by the local otters. Riverside fire pit is the perfect set up for cool evenings. Add the proximity to places like the World Equestrian Center (WEC), Crystal River, Homossassa, and the Withlacoochee River, University of Florida, mountain and paved biking trails. This can be both a relaxing place to stay and the center for many activities.
