Lovely, beautifully furnished 1 bedroom 1 bath cottage for 2 adults. Perfect for your honeymoon or romantic getaway, but if needed there is room for 2 small children on the living room sectional. You are overlooking a Crystal clear waterway that leads to the Halls River. The River runs thru several lakes on its way to the Homosassa River then to the Gulf of Mexico. Good fishing in crystal clear water right off your patio. Bass, Bluegill, Mullet, Porgy, Sheepshead & stingrays are some of many different varieties that frequent the area. The cottage is a great area for sight seeing, manatee, porpoise, otters, turtles and stingrays frequent the waterways off your dock. Several great blue heron, ibis, many bard owls and wood storks also frequent your back yard. Just recently we’ve had a white peacock that visits every couple of days. We’ve named her princess. She is just beautiful !! There are also a great variety of birds in the area and most of our waterways are bird sanctuaries . You have a dock for a small boat and plenty of room to park your boat and trailer. The cottage comes complete with life vests, 4 person paddle boat, 2 kayaks and a canoe. A lovely yard that is fenced on 2 sides has water on the other two sides. A quiet and charming area to relax.

Meticulously remodeled to be the best vacation rental in the area, Otter's Den is wheel chair friendly with a chair lift in the garage and 3ft or wider doors throughout except in the guest hallway, bedroom and bath. 60 ft of dock space on a deep water canal means your boat is in your back yard ready to head for the Gulf, the springs, or even a waterfront restaurant. Most furniture and appliances are brand new including all beds (King in master bedroom, 2 twins that can be moved together in the guest bedroom.) Master bath area has a walk in closet, travertine (real stone) shower stall, and new toilet, sink, exhaust fan and light fixtures. Guest bath has tub, shower, and is newly tiled with all new fixtures as well. the kitchen and dining area sports a new dishwasher, electric stove with stainless hood, built in microwave, a huge walk-in pantry, double door refrigerator with ice maker and through the door water dispenser, toaster, blender, and quality flatware and service for 8. There is a 60 inch plasma TV in the living room, and LCD TV's in the bedrooms and kitchen. The home has vaulted ceilings and an 'open air' feel with lots of skylights and pocket doors that disappear into the walls leaving a vast open view of the spacious deck, the dock, the water and wildlife. A large 2 car garage and driveway should take car of your vehicles, but there is extra parking nearby for boat trailers and possibly an RV. Recreational amenities include 2 bicycles, a double kayak, a single kayak, canoe, 2 spinning rods with tackle for fishing off the dock. Serious anglers should bring their own gear. A four person 14ft Carolina Skiff with 2 bench seats, Bimini top and 9.9 hp Evinrude four stroke motor is available to qualified boaters for an additional fee. The house is on a private paved single lane road facing 3 acres of undeveloped deciduous woods. Most houses in this neighborhood are owned by weekenders who come 'up to the river' for fishing, boating, or just to relax.

This secluded home is set on THREE ACRES of private wooded property on Mason Creek. This is a fantastic location to get away, unplug, go fishing, boating or experience old Florida in any number of therapeutic ways. Dock your small fishing boat at our PRIVATE DOCK on Mason Creek or launch at any of 3 free ramp locations less than 5 minutes away. NOTE: there are unmarked underwater hazards on Mason Creek. There are also seasonal changes that can limit access if your boat is too large. Best if you are familiar with Mason Creek or have good real-time navigation equipment that shows you what is underneath you in the brackish water. Picture 230 feet of private water frontage with endless waterways to explore. Take your CANOE, KAYAK or your outboard out for a day on the water! A scenic 20 minute boat ride will take you into some of Florida's best fishing areas in the Gulf of America or launch at the Homosassa Springs River toward Homosassa’s Wildlife Park where you can SWIM WITH MANATEES in crystal clear springs! (By land the Nature Park is less than 10 minutes away.) Our simple Florida lifestyle home is a bit dated and certainly not fancy but it is absolutely clean and fully furnished and equipped for your comfort and convenience. We call it retro-chic. Our favorite spot is the breezy 13 X 26 foot screened porch overlooking the water. This is where your daydreams begin. We have lovingly named it PARADISE PORCH. Spend endless days on the water FISHING and BOATING. No boat? No problem! There are plenty of charter excursions and boat rentals available in the area. We recommend smaller shallow draft fishing boats under 20' or pontoons for docking at the cottage but larger boats can launch at the nearby free ramps to go up the river or out to the Gulf. Winter low tides may limit boating from our dock depending on your vessel so please confer with the owner beforehand. We don't want you to have expectations that our property cannot accommodate.

This cozy pet friendly cottage lets you catch fish right from your own doorstep! It is a quaint cottage with a nice size bedroom with a king size bed. The kitchen is well stocked and has a full-size refrigerator, stove and microwave. The living room has a beautiful waterfront view. The Tiki bar in the photos is your space as well (there is a door into another unit opening into the Tiki bar for access only).
There are 2 kayaks on a rack in your garden for you to use.
You can catch your own bait: pinfish, crabs or mullet. You are likely to see dolphins and manatees from your living room. There's a screened-in bar area with comfortable chairs to nod off in. You are minutes by boat or car to the Homosassa Wildlife Park.

There are many fine restaurants in the Homosassa and Crystal River area for your enjoyment of our Florida Southern cooking.

If you would like an IMMACULATE quiet place for great fishing or just as a place to nod your head give us a call. I believe this could be the place for you at an affordable rate. It is not suitable for additional overnight guests.

You are welcome to bring your own boat and dock right outside. The Florida record tarpon was caught just a mile or so from the cottage.There are two kayaks ready to go and a charcoal grill free of charge

GORGEOUS CANAL FRONT HOME (HALLS RIVER/HOMOSASSA RIVER) KAYAKERS DREAM! This is a 2 bed, 1.5 bath home. Sleeps 5. Quality & efficiency throughout this charmer on a little-known canal, a true piece of natural Florida beauty. Kitchen is gorgeous with gleaming stone countertops over beautiful, grained wood. Eat at the island. Stainless appliances finish out the kitchen. Access to the BBQ balcony right off the kitchen with a hidden screen to allow the cook to not feel left out, but not letting the gnats & skeeters inside. Relaxing living room with plenty of room to kick back & watch some tv &front entry can be used as sitting area for relaxing with a good book. The bedrooms are good sized, one with connecting door to bathroom with a California split king bed. The other with Murphy Bed & desk area there is a folding rollaway bed located in the closet. Downstairs 1/2 bath with toilet & sink, laundry. Also, downstairs is ready for all your river house enjoyment with fridge, tv box, fans, & lighting! Of course, the main attraction is the waterfront! Manatees frequent the canal, as with any body of water in the state of Florida beware of alligators. Dock is in place, so just bring your pontoon, skiff, or flats boat...BUT canal entry/exit will not accommodate much draft, so shallow draft boat with jack plate is ideal also you have to go under the bridge leading out of the hall's river so a high T Top is an issue depending on the tide. If you have a deep V boat or an inboard this is not the house for you if you want to keep your boat at the dock. If you have a flats boat or pontoon you should not have a problem getting in and out of the canal. The only issue might be, you would need to be able to lay down your top/Bimini to get under the bridge. When the tide is low there's just enough clearance to get through canal (about 3 ft) just stay in the middle and go slow. mid-high tide there should be no problems. Some of the locals that use the canal say they never had a problem going in and out. The property is just a few blocks away from boat ramps. Room for trailer on property. You can access the Gulf of Mexico or go to the spring to enjoy manatee. There are quite a few restaurants nearby that you can access by boat or car. Crumps, The freezer, Florida cracker, MacRae's, Margueritta Grill. The house comes with five kayaks 4 single person Kayaks and a double person kayak that can also be a single just by moving the backrest forward from the rear. Paddle to the local restaurants or to the springs to enjoy manatee. in the laundry room you will find 4 adult life jackets 2 youth and 2 child and paddles. Also, in the laundry room besides the 1/2 bath washer and dryer and sink are some fishing poles and a set of corn hole boards for your pleasure. In the shed behind the house, you will find two bicycles one woman’s and one man’s beach cruiser. When leaving in a kayak or boat you can either follow the halls river upstream and enjoy some little-known hidden springs for snorkeling or just paddling around or head to the main river and paddle up to the Homosassa Spring located at the head of the river. Dogs only ,50Lbs or less, maximum of two 50.00 per pet per stay.

Our Rendezvous House is located on a deep-water canal in a quiet residential neighborhood on the South side of the Homosassa River. We are just around the corner from marker 76, west of the boat ramp at MacRaes and right at the end of “idol speed” - Perfect location to head out for a day of fishing, scalloping, or just cruising along the river.

Just a few minutes by golf cart (Golf cart not included but you are welcome to bring yours) to The Freezer, MacRaes (The Shed), Shelly’s Seafood Market, Wild Sassa Restaurant, Riverside Resort (home of Monkey Island) and the Old Mill Tavern.

Our fully furnished 1 Bedroom/1 Bath bungalow sleeps 4 adults comfortably with your choice of a King bed OR two twin beds in the bedroom and a Queen Murphy bed in the spacious living area. The back 1.5 acres of the 5 acre plot is associated with the tiny cabin rental, however, the entire lot is enclosed with a singular boundary fence.
Check out is 10:00am sharp unless previous arrangements are made. At 10:05am the housekeeper will polite remind you and beginning clean.

Any guests exceeding the reservation will be asked to leave unless approval is agreed on. Any tampering with the smart device around the house is against house rule and subject for an early departure. Partiers will be shut down and evicted with no refund.

The property is semi secluded but to be respectful to neighbors quiet time is 10pm.

Absolutely NO SMOKING/VAPING is allowed INSIDE THE HOUSE but is permitted in designated area on deck as long as cigarette buds are discarded properly.

No guest/visitors are allowed past the number of guest the reservation is made for unless prior approval is made. Any extra guests will be asked to be removed.

This is a stand alone cottage. It is smartly decorated with a southwest theme. We are located on 4 relaxing beautiful acres with horses and plenty of quiet country ambiance. A continental breakfast is included.

The cottage that you will be staying in is detached from the main house (located about 100 ft from the main house).

We follow the Cdcs sanitation recommendations and clean and disinfect your room with hospital grade disinfectant.

We have 3 other separate listings on the same property: The Tropical master suite, Scallop Room and the Manatee room located

The cottage has its own private bath with its own 30 gal hot water heater. The cottage is located inside a fenced yard. This fenced yard where the cottage is located. It is very secluded, private, and quiet with 15 ft tall hedges. We also have a nice sitting area outside with a swing facing the garden and horse pasture area.

We are not a hotel be we run our “bnb” like a hotel. We are passionate about what we do and how we do it. For those staying more than 1 night, after you leave for the day we make the bed, empty the trash, restock the refrigerator and make sure you have fresh towels.

If there is an issue we need to hear about, let us know so we can remedy the situation immediately. We want to have the opportunity to fix the issue rather than hear about it in a review. We are 2.6 miles from Walmart with a Circle-k gas station right on the corner. There are a variety of restaurants close by as well as many things to do while you are in the area. Some of the local activities are: the Homosassa wildlife park, swimming with the manatees, scalloping, fishing, kayaking, and many more fun things to do.


We do have 2 medium / large dogs, 1 small dog, 2 barn cats, and 2 horses living on the property. The dogs are kept in the house while guests ae walking about the property.

So sorry, no pets allowed. We strive to keep our place allergen free for those guests that have sensitivities.

There are no cooking facilities in the cottage although there is a small refrigerator and coffee maker.

We have 3 listings located in our guesthouse (which is on a different part of the property): The Manatee Room, Scallop Room, and Tropical Master Suite (all under Pleasant Days). These rooms each have their own theme similar to the Cottage.

The Tropical Master Suite comes with a private bath and a large living room. The Manatee room and Scallop room share a bathroom (disinfectant is provided). The rooms share common areas such as the kitchen, dining room, living room and a deck. Off the deck there is a picnic table, and a propane grill.

The kitchen in our guest house (and only the guest house as this unit does not have cooking facilities) is equipped with a full-size side-by-side refrigerator, microwave, toaster, skillet, Keurig machine (for coffee and Tee), and a George Foreman Grill. Dishes, silverware, and cups are provided (please clean up after yourselves).

Due to insurance purposes, we require all persons coming on the property to sign a Release of Liability and Assumption of Risk - one per person.

Just completed a complete (5-2025) remodel of our River front condo on the beautiful Homosassa River. Twenty minute boat ride on the peaceful river with manatees, dolphins and I have even seen an otter; to the Gulf of Mexico where you can enjoy fantastic fishing, snorkling, diving and boating. Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo is well equipped with a fully stocked kitchen. We have a dining table for 6 as well as a living room that over looks the spectacular river with great Florida sunsets. The condo is 1400 sq ft of living space plus a screened in porch.

Bring your boat and dock it in your own private, covered boat slip in the backyard. There is a cleaning station on the dock with built in sink and running water to clean your catch. You will also find a hose at the dock to wash your boat. If coming with a boat, please contact me before booking as we have NO TRAILER PARKING on site. I have a place where a trailer can be parked, but have to talk to the friend before hand. Also only 1 boat per unit.

Situated across the river from Old Homosassa we are just a short ride either by boat or car from several local restaurants and bars. Some suggestions are The Freezer, with its giant Tiki Hut, built in a converted refrigeration unit in the middle of a working fishing fleet yard. Crump’s Landing with its boardwalk and dining along the river live entertainment on weekends. Margarita Grill with its indoor seating and outdoor seating overlooking the river. Macrae's riverside bar, known as The Shed to the locals, where parties are never-ending and live music most weekends. Riverside, with its famous Monkey Bar, overlooking Monkey Island, provides several bars and eateries. The Old Mill Tavern, the Museum Cafe, Dogs and Scoops, River Safari Deli and The Old Homosassa Smokehouse, the list is endless and grows on a daily basis. Old Homosassa is host to the annual Seafood Festival, fishing tournaments, raft races, poker runs, blues concerts and celebrates every major holiday in grand style!

Homosassa State Wildlife Park is just a five minute drive away. Grocery stores, major restaurant chains and the Crystal River Mall are not much further. The attractions and shopping of Tampa, Ocala and Orlando are within easy reach, should you be able to bare to leave our sleepy little fishing village where relaxation and chilling out is a way of life!

Our condo association only allows rentals of 1 month or longer.

1 hour to Tampa or Ocala and 90 minutes to Disney/Orlando.

Catch sight of roaming cattle, playing goats, grazing sheep, and wandering turkeys in any given direction. And when your appetite is just right, take pleasure in some fresh farm-raised processed and packaged organic chicken.

Sharing the kitchen that was a mess and frig was full of old stuff with no room for my food. I had to put a frig in the bedroom. I never saw anyone sweep or vacuum the 2 months I was there. The drain piper came off the bathtub it was fixed once but not again. There was no lock on the shared sliding door. The 80 year old woman I share the place was offended that I thought it was dirty. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone."
