Blue Chair Key is located within a private and quiet part of the island, but just a short golf cart ride away from shops and restaurants downtown and on Dock Street. Kayak Information: Kayaks are included for your stay at Blue Chair Key. Just a 20-30 minute paddle away from the home is Atsena Otie an incredible deserted National Wildlife Island. Paddle yourself around the backwater through the marshes.

BOATER INFORMATION: Boat safely and responsibly. Boating from Blue Chair Key is at your own risk. Cedar Key is shallow water until you reach the channels. Experienced boaters should study navigational charts and tides prior to boating in the area. We have two approaches from Bay access from the dock. The bay can be less than 2 feet deep at low tide.
The first bay access involves a bridge to the east that the State of Florida says is 6.5 feet high at mean high tide. In October, we have 5 feet of water at low tide at the dock and a clearance of +/- 6 feet at the bridge at high tide. Both vary greatly and you will need to judge the height on your approach.
The second bay access approach is via a tidal waterway to the west with a variety of depths depending on the tide. Check and know your height to the waterline, draft, tides and use your depth finder before navigating.

Up to one dog is permitted (20 pound max) with pet fee as follows: Pet fee is $50 per pet per visit, 1 pet maximum.

Seafoam Cottage vacation rental house is a two bedroom, two bath home on historic Second Street in Cedar Key, Florida. Seafoam was constructed in the 1880's and is rich in Cedar Key history. The new owners have remodeled, added on and refurnished it in a happy island style.

You'll find a comfortable living room with large sectional couch. Perfect for friends and family commiseration. WiFi is provided and we have a Smart TV without satellite. The house has central heat and air. The Master Bedroom has a comfortable Queen bed and the guest bedroom has bunk beds with a full size bed on the bottom and a and twin on top. Two bathrooms, the master has a tile shower and the guest bathroom has a clawfoot tub shower combo.

Kitchen is fully furnished and has dining for 4-6. The backsplash is a work of art in itself. It is a one of a kind handcrafted seaside themed creation of the owner. Everything is supplied here for cooking and dining.

The back yard is private and has a fire pit and wooden Adirondack chairs. It is beautifully planted with tropical plants.

The front porch is cool and comfortable and faces 2nd Street with a giant Live Oak tree nearby. Just two doors from Seafoam is Tony’s Seafood Restaurant and the coffee shop, The Daily Grind and 1842 Mercantile. You can almost smell the aroma of coffee brewing when you step onto the front porch in the morning.

There is a parking space off the street for one vehicle at Seafoam. Other parking is street side and is first come first served.

The convenient location of Seafoam cannot be overstated. You can literally walk to every restaurant, shop, attraction, beach, golf cart rental, kayak rental & boat rental. And we now have two cool island cruiser bikes waiting for you when you arrive. Tour the entire town and island on these bikes . You'll be stylin'! The small pier at Pelican Place is located on the water directly in front of the house. This dock is excellent for fishing.

Pelican Place house comes fully furnished and well equipped. It is clean and neat and goes above and beyond even the McCormick Management Co. standards. The Kitchen is stocked well with all one needs for cooking and serving and dining in. The bedrooms are tastefully done and all your linens are supplied. There is a King bed in the master bedroom and a king bed in the guest. There is a tv in the guest bedroom but not the master. Both bathrooms have walk in showers, single sinks and toilet.

The living room is spacious and comfortable with seating for six and a wide screen smart tv. The dining area is great for conversation and dinner and games.

The waterside deck is fantastic for catching the gulf breeze and the Florida sun. The front porch has two comfortable swings with springs and cushions

Fishing is abundant here whether it is fishing from a bridge or a pier on inshore fishing or off shore fishing there is no shortage of ways to catch fish. You can even fish from your back yard!.

Pelican Place accommodates four guests. No more. So please respect our rules. We do not allow any smoking and we cannot accept pets. We have 2 Smart TV's with Wi-Fi. Washer and Dryer is also available for your use. Two couples are welcome to share our home. Or two adults and two children. We strive to keep our rates competitive and affordable. Please note, guests must be able to climb stairs. It's about 40 stairs from the ground to the condo door. There are no elevators in the complex. Smoking is not allowed inside the unit, on the front or back porch. However, you can smoke in permitted places throughout the complex. Please be sure any trash is disposed properly.

THE SPACE
Kitchen - A fully functional kitchen and is stocked with all the essentials from making coffee in the morning to preparing home cooked meals. You can be cooking a meal while enjoying the views of the Gulf! It includes a dishwasher, oven, range, microwave and refrigerator. It's stocked with pots, pans, plates, bowls, drinking glasses, silverware, baking dishes, tupperware, dish towels and more!

Deck/Patio- Everything is great, but this may be the star of the show! Enjoy the sunrises and sunsets from your large and private deck with unobstructed views of the Gulf. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail on the lounge chairs and take in the views from dolphin and bird watching to clam boats whizzing by. We installed a fan for your comfort.

Bedrooms- There are 2 bedrooms. Both bedrooms have been recently updated. The primary has a king-sized bed. The other room has a queen-sized bed. Both have a dresser & a ceiling fan.

Bathrooms - There are 2 full updated bathrooms. One is an en-suite in the primary bedroom. They both include a vanity with storage, and tub/shower combo. We also include towels and hair dryer for your use.

Common Area- There is a dining table with seating for 4, and there are also barstools for additional seating under the counter in the kitchen. The living room has plenty of room for relaxing and watching the new 70 inch tv! WiFi and Spectrum are provided through the HOA and are available to you. You can use the dining room table as a workspace, if needed.

Laundry Room- There is a full size washer and dryer inside the unit.

Grounds- The complex has private boat trailer parking & boat wash down station that's free for you to use during your stay (the boat ramp is less than 1 mile away). On the bayou side, there is a small beach and pier. On the Gulf side of the property, there is a small private beach where you can launch a kayak.

Just 3 strolling blocks from the water and 2 from the delicious dining options of 2nd St, you won't need to drive unless you really want to. The famous Cedar Key Fishing Pier is less than a half mile and while you're out there check out the shops and restaurants on the water, the views at sunset can't be beat!

The Beach Shack has a beautifully open floor plan allowing for conversation between the living room, kitchen and dining areas.

The living room holds is a queen-sized pull-out couch and plush recliner for a total of 4-5 people to sit and chat or watch TV. With a fun and friendly beach vibe it's easy to feel at home here. Extra blankets and linens for the sofa bed are in the ottoman.

The kitchen is stocked with all the items you need to spend a weekend or a couple of months. Brand new stainless steel appliances include a built-in microwave, glass top electric stove/oven and large refrigerator with freezer on top. There's no shortage of updates here!!

A 2 person breakfast bar, along with a 4 person, round dining table, will give you more than enough seating for dining in.

The bedroom is just down the hall with a comfortable queen bed, large night stands, luggage racks and closet. The full ensuite has a single sink, toilet and tub shower combo.

There is a half bath in the hall.

Outside you will find a brand new deck enclosed by almost invisible screen. With comfortable seating for 4, this is great place to sit back and enjoy a cold beverage at the end of the day. Outback there is a gas grill and fire table, we provide the presto logs and ask that those are the only things burned.

Other amenities to note are a stacking washer and dryer, additional closet for storage, vacuum, standing fan, extra pillows and blankets, games, fee WiFi and ceiling fan.

The entry leads up to the main level of the townhome. Here is the living, dining, kitchen great room with sliding glass doors opens onto the waterfront balcony. The kitchen is fully furnished for cooking. We have Cuisinart appliances and Keurig Coffee maker. We have a side by side refrigerator, dishwasher, electric range and oven, and even a George Forman grill. The living room is open to the Gulf breezes and the salty sea air and has a queen couch bed. Here at Salt Life you are blessed to actually witness the real "salt life". From your balconies you'll see a constant display of the Cedar Key watermen & women coming and going from the nearby clam leases. These hard working clam farmers make the trip to and from their leases directly in front of the townhomes. They harvest their clams daily. The wake created by these bird dog boats laps onto the rocks below.
The townhome has a very small rock and sand and shell beach next door where you can sit in the sand and launch your kayaks.
Please bring water shoes because you will probably want to explore on the rocks here at Salt Life. The sea wall and rocks are great places to see marine life up close at low tide.

The parking here is limited so keep this in mind when you plan your trip. We share with seven other units and everyone must have access. One car or truck is best and more than two vehicles is not advised. There is however adequate parking under your unit for golf carts.
