CONFLUENCE: /kŏn′floo͞-əns/ noun
1. The place where two rivers, streams, or other continuously flowing bodies of water meet and become one.
The Confluence Cabin is a beautiful cedar home nestled where the Ichetucknee River pours into the Santa Fe. The sprawling 2 acre property has more than a full acre fenced in, making it the perfect spot for children to play on the tree swing and for dogs to run off leash. Grill out and eat every meal under the canopy of oak trees on our 400 sq ft deck. Rinse off in the outdoor shower. Bringing your personal boat or jet skis? The boat ramp is right down the street. There are also pontoon boat and jetski rentals nearby. The neighborhood is golf cart and side by side friendly, no 4 wheelers please.
At the cabin, you will enjoy the views from our resort style boardwalk, multiple docks and covered pavilion, which features a twin size bed swing overlooking the river. The year-round 73 degree pure spring water bubbling from the ground attracts friendly manatees and otters, along with hundreds of species of fish and birds. Cool off in the river with a swim (bring a snorkel) or fish until your bait or daylight runs out. The State Park across the highway offers float and kayak trips, swimming holes and even scuba diving in caves. Star gazing is absolutely breathtaking from the cabin. You can see all of the constellations.
HOST PRO TIP: Tube the Ichetucknee River over and over for free when you stay with us! Our cabin guests get free access to our community dock on the Ichetucknee where you can launch from, float 45 minutes and end right at our cabin dock. Your stay includes access to tubes (2 singles, 1 double, 1 cooler and electric pump), stand up pontoon paddle boards (2), regular kayaks (7), canoe (1), and the crystal clear glass bottom "manatee viewer" kayak (1).
The cabin itself is cozy and you will feel right at home. The upstairs has two bedrooms, one King and one Queen, as well as two bathrooms. The kitchen has all the essentials and the nearest grocery store is within 2 miles. NOTE FOR PARENTS: The downstairs bedroom is accessed from the EXTERIOR ONLY. It features one large room with four beds, a full bathroom, and large screened area (340 sq ft), as well as laundry room. The upstairs and downstairs can communicate via Alexa devices if desired. We have free WI-FI and all TVs are SmartTV/Firestick enabled for your streaming services. The house has loads of games inside and outside including a tree swing, floating river mat, Foosball, Nintendo 64, Cornhole, Croquet, a Bingo Wheel, Playing Cards, Zim Zam, Cribbage, Sand Toys, Board Games, as well as Books and Toys for younger kids.
Our area is a part of the Great Florida Birding Trail. Bird enthusiasts should expect to see a variety of water birds, American kestrel, northern bobwhite, eastern wild turkey, barred owl, red-headed woodpecker, Bachman’s sparrow and many more. Bring your binoculars and checklist when you visit!
*Please note that the river can rise. At times the water will be high enough to cover the dock and come into the yard. It's beautiful to see because the water is crystal clear. During a river rise boats and kayaks can be launched from the yard. You can check the river level at 3 Rivers by searching the internet for water dot weather dot gov.

- "Very spacious & alot of nature. We loved it." - "My family and I had a great experience staying here. We fished from the dock mornings and evenings, had a couple of great bbqs at the cabin, and the kids made s'mores in the firepit. The cabin was generously stocked with basic necessities, such as paper towels, toilet paper, soaps and detergents, and other such supplies. There were more than enough pieces of cutlery and flatware, dishes and plates for six people. There were also full selections of kitchen gear (pots, pans, etc.) and bbq tools. The cabin is located in a region that has numerous amazing cold-water springs and crystal clear rivers, called "the Gilchrist Blueway." Not only are those natural wonders in close proximity, but the cabin is stocked with pamphlets, maps, and other bits of information about the nearby springs and rivers. Moreover, the whole property is very well organized. All of the cabinets and drawers are labeled, so you can always find exactly what you're looking for, be it a towel, a frying pan, a coffee cup, etc. Finally, the host is very nice and accommodating. He gave good advice regarding things to do in the area, made sure that we had everything we need while staying in the cabin, and was excellent at communicating. He responded to all messages instantly, and this made the whole process of checking in as well as the entire stay very worry-free."

End the summer rate drop
This lovely house is more than a house; it’s a family vacation home. The minute you walk in, you will feel it. This home has more accommodations then you are used to seeing in a rental. We want you to have the same experience as we do each and every time we spend time there.
The downstairs has beautiful wood floors with the exception of the bedrooms, those rooms are carpeted. There are 2 air conditioners; one for upstairs and one downstairs, this helps keep the house very comfortable. Ceiling fans are in every room, 3 in the vaulted ceiling living area. We have overhead lighting in all the rooms along with lamps. House has a water softener along with filtration system.
The heart of the home seems to be the kitchen and dining area. This kitchen has everything you could possibly need including; food processor, blender, mixer, several electric skillets and many gadgets to help make food prep easy, so you’ll have more time to play. The kitchen is equipped with a trash compactor that can hold several days’ worth of trash. This helps with the trash emptying chore. There is a large ice maker built into the center island which helps when you’re packing those coolers to spend the day down on the dock or out on the river. When you return from your day at play, your ice is replenished. This is truly one of the favorites of the home.
The dining room has a large wooden table that seats up to 8 and additional 4 can sit at the bar. This table has hosted many meals, conversations and game nights with friends and family. This is the center of the home and the heart of it too.
The living room has leather sofas and a couple chairs along with 2 bean bags for lounging around. For your entertainment pleasure there is a 70 Inch Smart TV, satellite dish, DVD player, stereo with surround sound and internet. There is a landline phone. There is an extra-large DVD library. The center of the living area has a beautiful wood burning fireplace which is special during those cold winter nights.
There is a guest bath off the living room and it’s equipped with an “old fashioned claw foot tub”, sink and toilet.
The two downstairs bedrooms have king size beds with extra linens, pillows and blankets. Each bedroom has a TV and the “blue” room has a gaming system along with games. There are 2 Twin mattresses and the rooms provide plenty of floor space to use them. The two bedrooms share a fully equipped bathroom that has a bathtub/shower combo, large vanity, sink and toilet. There are plenty of towels and wash cloths and a blow dryer. In the closet you’ll find plenty of family fun board games to entertain the entire family.
The Master suite upstairs is exactly that, a SUITE. This is one of those “must see to believe rooms” This room has a king size bed that looks small in comparison to the size of the room. There is a sitting area that includes a couch and three recliners. There is a large screen TV with DVD player. This room has plenty of floor space to sleep several people comfortably on air mattresses. The master bath is elegant for a house in the middle of the woods. It has an extra-large walk in shower, large garden tub, large vanity and a separate toilet room. Several people can be getting ready in this large bathroom and have plenty of space. . When you wake up in the morning and walk through those double doors to head down stairs, you have a beautiful view from the extra-large windows; of the river and the tops of the trees. It’s truly amazing. It’s a beautiful way to start your day.
Our vacation home is in a rural area and if you’re arriving after dark you might wonder “where am I going?” But by morning you’ll be happy you continued down that dark road. Because we are in a rural area we do have two camera’s placed outside. This also helps me monitor the river levels for families that are planning to boat. I assure you these camera’s are not used to monitor your activities. We use this to protect our boat , jet skis and things we have worked hard to have. The guests that our home attracts don’t have an issue with the cameras, it’s a way of life these days.
The outside of the house has a breathtaking view of the river and trees. Underneath the house is a concrete slab with a extra large picnic table, wooden swing and patio chairs. A sidewalk leads to the outdoor shower that is a "favorite" by ALL guests. It's totally private and large enough to hang your towel and clothes without getting wet. There is a bench in it as well. There's something about showering and looking up at the beautiful sky and trees. The sidewalk also leads down to the dock where the real fun begins. Whether you plan to play around in the water or take your water craft out, there is plenty of room for it all. Kids have been running and jumping from this dock for 33 years (not really , this dock was rebuilt and made bigger) you get my point. Plenty of room to tie up several water crafts. Depending on the river height sometimes we even have a beach.
Their is plenty of yard to get a family softball game going or a number of other lawn games that are available on site. Or, you may just want to lay in the hammock and soak in the beauty and listen to the occasional boat go by. There is something for everyone. For the furry family members there is plenty of nice maintained dirt roads to walk and explore. Our house is in a nice friendly neighborhood where you don't have to see anyone if you don't want or you can stroll the roads and pick up a friendly conversation with some of the locals. The boat ramp is a 1/2 mile down the road and makes for an enjoyable stroll.
I hope I have painted an image in your mind that you find too irresistible to pass up, you won't be disappointed, I guarantee it!
- "It was nice and quiet." - "We had a fabulous time at your property and would recommend it to anyone!" - "Gorgeous property overlooking the historic Suwannee River. Perfect for a large family. Outstanding amenities. Something for everyone. Kids loved the outdoor shower. Easy access from the cabin to our boat. Fishing, swimming, water boarding and checking out the springs made this vacation loads of fun. I highly recommend this property. Owners were super friendly and welcoming."

- "Love the house and great time kayaking" - "This property has everything a family could possibly need. Remotely located paradise on the river. Always marked on my calendar every summer." - "We enjoyer our stay very much. The steps were in need of some repair but overall very nice. Fishing during the day was terrible because of the boat traffic though. Plenty of space for everyone and seemed to have everything we needed. I do not like technology so the covection stove was terrible for me. The house is 40 minutes from a large grocery store so pack accordingly. We had to be modest with the hot water. There were 8 of us so we all couldn't take showers back to back. Cleaning supplies were plentiful so being tidy wasnt a chore. I believed we booked the right house for the vacation we planned in the long run. Owners were very friendly!"

The house has a very comfortable living space with everything you will need to have an enjoyable stay. The kitchen and bathroom are fully stocked with everything you will need. The fall/winter weather is absolutely beautiful with clear crisp days and cool evenings. There is a hiking paths and within 15 minutes from the house, guests can go antiquing, hiking, and visiting nearby parks and recreation areas during the day. In the evening guests can sit by a cozy bonfire and roast marshmallows or oysters while enjoying their favorite beverage. The spring/summer is all about playing in the water. The springs have a year round water temp of 74 degrees so a lot of people enjoy tubing, swimming, kayaking and canoeing, boating, snorkeling and scuba diving and anything else a person would want to do in spring-fed rivers. The cabin is secluded and quiet with access to the Ichetucknee and Santa Fe Rivers. We even furnish Tubes. There are numerious deer, turkeys, and Raccoons in the area. Guests will have full access to the house and surrounding area. The house is equipped with wireless internet. There are miles of quiet roads for walking or biking and access to several state parks with river access. Wildlife is abundant and the fishing is great. Bring your golf cart! You can also set up a tent outside if you have additional guest. There is a BBQ grill at the Cabin so bring some steaks and enjoy a private cook out with nature. There is also a large grate that you can put over the fire pit and you can roast oysters or clams. The house also has two pull out couches in the great room.
There is fire wood available at all the stores in Branford.
Please note that we are on a river that sometimes rises. At time the water will be high enough that in covers the dock and is well up into the back yard. We actually love it like this as the water is clear, clean and beautiful. You can still bring a boat up into the yard and have full river access for the canoes and kayaks
- "PERFECT" - "Very nice property with downstairs shower and restroom. Beautiful view from living room down to lake. Easy check in, very polite and funny property owner and can't wait to book again next year." - "This cabin is something like none other. I went with 7 others and a dog. The place was more than big enough to hold us all comfortably. The bathroom situation wasn’t so bad since there was another one downstairs that worked just fine. The cabin was very well maintained and clean for our arrival. The living area/ kitchen was another plus with ample space to cook and gather around. The kitchen came with all we needed to cook with, and the bathrooms came with towels. The only downside I can say was that the lighting inside was a little dim. Going downstairs there was a large fireplace which made for a perfect s’mores night. The three kayaks and the tubes also made for lots of fun on the water. The large backyard was so much fun for our dog too. The dock by the water was also nice to have as it had direct access to the water and the sunset. If you are on the water, there are plenty of boats that speed by though but other than that it’s perfect. Overall, it was a very fun experience and a memorable getaway!"

- "We had a wonderful time and the house had everything you would need for a getaway. A plus was, we were able to bring our little yorkie (dog). Thank You Kelli Bielanski" - "Once again, our stay at your peaceful, clean place did not disappoint. We had a great time exploring and fishing and looking for yard sales. Hope to get back soon!" - "Very quiet, well-appointed space right on the river. More functionally connected to the river if you have a boat, but lovely to sit on the swing or deck or around the firepit and enjoy the river scenery. Lots of swimming holes nearby as well. Didn't understand the listing that says studio and then lists 2 bedrooms until I got there - it is actually one big area and there are two beds, not separate bedrooms. Host has done a beautiful job of thinking of all the little extras or things that you might accidentally forget and providing them. Nice little personalized touches when you arrive were sweet as well. Great guide to the area provided. Easy check-in and check-out with great communication."

The game room is GRAND, filled with multiple seating arrangements and a full sized pool table, there was still room to feel like you weren't on top of each other. All the TVs were wall mounted for ample space, and had bluetooth which is excellent for headphones to ease down quietly, and also accommodating for a bluetooth speaker for surround sound! The river was gorgeous and we were greeted by otters at dusk on one night, munching on fish and mussels, super cool! True FLA experience."

- "The house was great--close to where we needed to be in order to check on Boy Scouts that were canoeing/kayaking the Suwannee River. The ONLY problem we had was a personal one for me (the old lady with very bad knees!) and that was climbing the stairs necessary to access the house. I realize that it's necessary to avoid problems with river flooding at times, so not complaining, just explaining. We would definitely stay here again!!!" - "Nice location, a friendly owner, clean house"

- "Really nice place and location!" - "The property is clean, the rooms are great, and the views are beautiful. Upgrades are apparent. The huge porch overlooking the river with plenty of seating, BBQ, and hot tub made the experience better. If you are looking for a great place to get away from it all, this is it." - "The bag fee is ridiculous especially for having a long stay and only had one paper towels and not enough rags for guest to shower with we had to go out and buy more and your fridge showed it had water but it’s a different fridge so we had to go get bottles of water to drink. The 4th room you gotta walk outside and it smells like outside in there. They have a lift for bags and stuff but it was left down so upstairs had a gaping hole you could fall down we had to block it off with chairs because we texted and they had no answer to get the lift to work. Also they charge you 6 dollars PER bag after 4 bags they charged us 54 dollars for trash. But overall the cabin was great still had a fun time."

- "Great" - "This is our 21st vacation rental in the last 18 months. Easily one of our favorites. Our stay on the river was amazing. It's so peaceful here, with an abundance of wildlife - we truly did not want to leave. The newly, fully renovated house exceeded all expectations. We especially loved the expansive windows that helped to bring the outside, in. Another favorite of ours was the kitchen, along with its solid cookware and sharp knives, there was ample space for the two of us to cook together. Everything is new, and everything works. I was initially concerned about internet speeds, since I work from home, but the connection is solid and video meetings, as great as any meeting can be. The outside shower, firepit, and water toys all got plenty of use! We kayaked up to the springs and the park several times, and even saw a manatee and her calf from the top deck of the cabin one afternoon. The host communicated proactively with spot-on local suggestions, and, due to a storm, weather updates and recommendations. The river rose to flood conditions, but we had no trouble coming and going in a small car. We left with hearts full of memories and a strong hope that we can return to this incredible riverfront gem. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!"

The property was well maintained and we actually saw a herd of deer from our bedroom window. We did not take full advantage of the outdoor bar and seating area but it was a nice plus. We definitely will book this place again. Our host Angela King was available to answer any questions and made our stay very comfortable. "
