The cabin was a little dated, some weak spots and unlevel floors, but was able to move around. The kids loved the loft. We made sure they were safe on the stair/ladder going up. Convict springs was literally right out the front door across a small field. The spring was beautiful. The kids swam so much the were sore the next day. The family is a little small but we had fun. The staff were so nice! The highlight of everything was meeting Pinky one their beautiful pigeons!!!! The birding here is top notch especially one the river. We saw 3 red shoulder hawks and heard numerous great horned owls. Also the gulf sturgeon jumping is so cool! We will be back! I want to canoe and fish next time!!!"

Come enjoy the peace and quiet at Red Bird Cabin with 16 private acres on the historic Suwannee River. Surrounded by giant, sleepy live oaks, lemon, and orange trees, you will thoroughly enjoy getting away from it all! The property is a wonderful retreat with a large, open yard and gorgeous views. Enjoy watching the local wildlife, such as white tail deer, Osceola turkeys, and blue herons while relaxing in the screened-in sun room or swinging on the large front porch swings.

One king master bedroom is downstairs. There is a bathroom right outside the master bedroom in the hall. It has a walk in shower with a small step over. The other king master bedroom is upstairs in the loft. The twin bunk room is upstairs as well as the second bathroom with a shower/tub.

Red Bird Cabin is completely furnished. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the conveniences. It has recently been renovated with new countertops, flooring, microwave, dishwasher, and sink. Bring your food. Bring your fishing poles. Bring your boat! There is a private boat landing on the property, approximately 450 yards from the cabin. The public boat ramp is approximately three miles away.
There is a fire pit with a grill top just outside the side porch.

The 850 square foot home sits on just shy of an acre of land that opens up to 150 feet of your own private river frontage. Two little known springs directly across the river feed into the Suwannee. Launch kayaks from the private dock and you are a few paddles away. Fully equipped kitchen makes mealtime an easy option, and with two large sliding glass doors, your view of the river goes unimpeded while cooking and dining. One bedroom features a king bed, and the other offers a queen bed as well as twin bunk beds. Satellite internet helps you stay connected, and drives the TV which features apps to deliver whatever content you subscribe to (owners provide Netflix and Disney+). A large porch with rocking chairs and ceiling fans offers a view of the river while enjoying your morning coffee, and/or evening beverage of choice. The house is nestled in the woods on the banks of the Suwannee River so there is the possibility of coming upon wildlife such as deer turkey or even an otter please don't harass the wildlife as for they feel this is their home too.

The Green House River Ranch is a 3000sq ft 4 bedroom 3 bath home on 15 acres with a beautiful panoramic view of the historic Suwannee River in Lafayette County. Completely renovated from top to bottom in 2021 with comfort in mind for friends and family to enjoy. As you enter the gates a short drive through an open field,large Hammock Oaks and beautiful pines scattered throughout the property, on the ground level there is a Outdoor shower,bathroom and a full size refrigerator for your convenience with cover parking for up to 6 cars. Take a stroll through the trails within the property or explore down the road and visit the grazing cows and friendly donkeys.As the day starts winding down, fire up the grill and have a family dinner outside under the star’s and then relax by the campfire and roast some marshmallows on the river’s edge.The sunset sky and stars are amazing.

When back inside you can unwind by the electric fireplace in the cozy living room on very comfortable leather reclining sofas or prepare a home cooked meal in the spacious fully equipped kitchen with all modern amenities and huge farmhouse sink . A family size dining room table to gather for meals or board games.Washer and dryer are located upstairs with a stock linen closet with towel and sheets.There are TV’s and ceiling fans in every room.The house also has a water softener and top of the line filtering system for good water quality.

Depending on how high the Suwanee River level will be during your stay, Will determine the clarity and accessibility to the nearby springs and the boat ramp.
Higher water level will not be as clear.
Lower water level clear and perfect.
Mother nature is out of our control. But there is always kayaks to use or bring your boat to go to different springs if the water level is high.

- "This place was amazing. First off the host allowed for an earlier check in for our group. This was much needed as our group was traveling from 2 different states. When we arrived we were blown away by the place. Property was beautiful and the house was amazing. Pictures could never fully encapsulate how great this place looks. Right on the river with a spring right next door. Bedrooms were large and sleeping arrangements allowed for all 8 people to have their own bed. The host answered quickly to all of our questions. We are a group who travel once a year to a destination and have bee doing this for years.....this was one of the best trips we have ever taken. We will be back."

- "Yeah, accommodations weren’t too bad. I mean for staying on the river and stuff that it wasn’t bad at all. The location was The only problem was is we were not informed that we had to bring our own bedsheets and pillows and cases and blankets and towels until the day of like the day we were getting ready to leave to head towards the VRBO that was a little much, especially when we were only staying for one night and it was very nice. I mean it’s very spacious. The furniture was a little outdated on the beds were pretty comfortable, but the heat didn’t work very well. We all were cold all night long but if you want to go somewhere where you’re right there accessing the Suwanee and that it was perfect Other than that yeah, that’s pretty much it. I want a bad place to stay. It was very nice for going fishing and kayaking and stuff but they need to update their information letting people know that they you need to bring your own bedding and your own towels and stuff we weren’t prepared for that so but I do recommend it for people who like to go camping and fishing in that and it’s very nice. It’s a very nice park. It’s very nice RV park on the cabins had a playground is really nice."
