Welcome to the Cedar Hill Depot house where character and comfort meet.

Built in the early 1950's it has endless charm, and with the recent renovations you also get all the comforts of today. At 650 sq ft the studio style cabin offers a spacious feel. The unique and fun train theme gives a special touch of history from the area. The train that linked East and West Florida from 1861 until 1932 was brought all the way to Cedar Key and played a big part in making this bustling little community.
**We ask that all guests be over the age of 18.

At just 3 easy walking blocks from the water and 2 block from the delicious dining options of 2nd St, you won't need to drive unless you really want to. The famous Cedar Key Fishing Pier is less than a half mile and while you're out there check out the shops and restaurants on the water, the views at sunset can't be beat!

The bedroom is separated from the main living area but does not have a door. There is a comfortable Queen sized bed there and a cozy feel.

The main living area has a Queen sized sofa bed along with additional seating to comfortably have 4 people gathering together.

The kitchen is small with basic amenities. There is a sink, small refrigerator, cups, coffee and coffee maker and some disposable utensils and plates. You will want to plan on eating out or bringing food back for your meals as this kitchen isn't really made for cooking.

There is 1 full bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. You'll also find shampoo, conditioner, soap and plush towels.

Outside there is a covered front porch with seating so you can enjoy the fresh air and watch the fountain in the yard.

Getting to Cedar Key usually takes a car but with this fabulous central location you might not need it once you get here. To get into the home itself you'll climb a few stairs but once inside it's a single level.

Parking for 1 car in the white gravel area in front of the cabin where it says train parking, park to the far left next to the fence. See map in the photos for location.

This home is equipped with our smart lock system, you'll get your access code to sent you via email and online message the day before your arrival. You can check in anytime after 4 pm on your reservation day. We are always around to answer questions or help out but if you'd like some space and serenity you'll have it!

-Please be careful where you park, don't block people in, use neighbors property, park on the sidewalk or impede traffic
-Parties and/or events are not allowed

-Unauthorized pets will result in a $250 fine for each animal
-$150/person/day fee for over occupancy limit
-Please don’t eat or drink anything besides water in the bedroom
-Quiet hours 10 pm to 7 am per local Noise Ordinance
-Please respect the check-in and check-out times. $500 for each 4 hours, or portion unauthorized thereof, of early check-in and late checkout.
-Guests are responsible for any damage they cause. If something does happen contact us ASAP and we will see if there’s a way to quickly take care of the issue before it gets worse and costs more.
-Please don’t rearrange the furniture.
-Please do your dishes.
-No illegal substances allowed on premises.

The Cedar Summit house sits on one of the highest points on the island. From the decks you can see the open western Gulf. The expansive bays and salt marshes are a short walk down the hill from the house where you`ll find a long lighted boardwalk ending with a fishing deck and boat dock on the bayside water.

Sunsets are spectacular at the Cedar Summit Vacation Rental. The property is located on the western side of the island and offers gorgeous sunsets.

The house is a spacious four bedroom, two bath home perfect for family gatherings. We accommodate a maximum of eight guests. There is a screened deck on the upper level and a deck on the lower level as well. There is a charcoal grill for BBQ`ing your catch.

The house is set up as a duplex. Meaning the upper and lower floors are separate. Each have a complete kitchen, a full bath, two bedrooms, wifi and TV. Each have separate heating and cooling. A covered outside stairway joins the two units. This offers privacy for family and friends who are staying in the home. All the living areas are spacious. Living and dining areas are large and comfortably furnished. Both kitchens are spacious and fully stocked.

The upstairs bedrooms have a queen in one bedroom and bunk beds in the second bedroom. The bunk beds have a full on the bottom and a twin on top. The upstairs bath is a tub shower combination.

The rest of the top floor is a great room that is spacious and open with kitchen, dining and living areas all combined. From this area you access the screened porch with expansive views and comfortable seating and ceiling fans.

The downstairs is also two bedrooms. Here we have queens in each room. A bath with a walk-in shower, washer and dryer and more open space for living, dining and cooking in the 2nd fully stocked kitchen. And finally there is covered porch with picnic table and adirondacks as well.

Cedar Summit offers families and friends not only spacious areas to gather for food and conversations but also plenty of space to `get away` from one another when you choose to do so.

The property is spacious as well with plenty of palms and oaks. The sloping yard leads down to the bay and the long boardwalk and fishing deck at the end.

We are located about 2.5 miles from town. Plan to do what most everyone else does while here in Cedar Key....rent a golf cart for your trips to town and all around the island.

Everything is supplied at Cedar Summit. All your linens and sheets and towels are here. All the kitchen items are here and everything but your groceries is supplied.
