From the porch swing in front to the firepit in back, the breeze through the palms, oaks, pines and ferns carries birds and butterflies, but no traffic noise. Feel at home watching streaming channels in front of the fireplace, or dining al fresco on the porch lit by Edison lights at night. There are many nature trails, some with canoe rentals (I recommend the boardwalk at Anderson’s Ford, Hillsborough River State Park, as well as the Alafia River) with downtown Tampa only 30 minutes away. There is also a “pack and play”, and the couch is comfortable for another adult but it is not a pull out bed. Built in 1926, this charming 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath cabin on stilts over an extremely clear lake is nestled in a jungle-like setting with great water views all around. From the screened porch that is over the lake, you can watch the fish jump, turtles surface, water fowl hunt along the shore and in the water or the large birds flying over.
You can also sit on the deck on the waters edge and barbeque or just enjoy a beverage or do some fishing.
The pool and jacuzzi are just a short walk next door behind the main house which is located on 10 acres which shared with our family and 2 Black Arabian horses.
