You are welcome to beach your boat at the shoreline for easier access getting in and out. We allow a maximum of two watercraft to be there. The second house is only available when renting both houses together, so there will be no one renting it if you rent the single house in this listing. There's so much to do in and around the Ocala National Forest! A favorite is to boat (by paddle or motor) Salt Springs Run, which comes from Salt Springs. The spring flows 52 million gallons per day and is a constant 72 degrees year round. The water is beautifully clear and the bottom is white sand. If you don’t have a boat, you may rent one at Salt Springs Marina, or just swim the springs at Salt Springs Recreation Area, just 2 miles from the cabin!

You may also choose to never leave the cabin with beautiful Lake Kerr steps away from the cabin doors. Enjoy long afternoons and evenings on the expansive patio with fire pit overlooking the lake or indulge yourself in the Hot Springs Grande hot tub on the deck. Commune with nature in our outdoor shower. Inside you'll find hardwood floors and granite countertops along with all the comforts of home. Deer, otter, and a variety of birdlife, including Sandhill cranes and hummingbirds are often visible. Recreational activities may include hiking, fishing, canoeing, boating and water skiing. Lake Kerr covers 2,830 acres of deep water roughly 2 miles by a mile wide. Shoreline unblemished by developers abounds.

Salt Springs is nestled in the center of Ocala National Forest off SR 19, just West of Lake George, Florida’s 2nd largest lake. This is the area that inspired Marjorie Rawlings to write The Yearling, an academy award winning story about a boy who befriends an abandoned fawn.
Salt Springs offers two small restaurants, bait shop, grocery store, ice cream stand, Dollar General, and a Subway at the gas station. Palatka and Silver Springs are about 20-30 minutes away for shopping and golf. Nearby Mount Dora is a noted haven for artists and antique shops are salted around the community as well. Most weekends feature a flea market offering various regional souvenirs and goods.

It's a quiet place down a well maintained dirt road. It's definitely a cabin like house similar to glamping. It has a window ac unit in main area and fans located in each room, shower outside of the home,and a kitchen with hot plates,electric frying pan, and other electric cookware to cook with, a full size fridge and grill outside! Enjoy grilling outside while you watch your family around the campfire. Salt Springs Recreation is near by for swimming , Silver glen and Lake Kerr is near for kayaking and boating. The yard is huge so bring your boat or kayaks!

Beautiful Park Model Cabin with large outdoor patio up front and huge deck out back perfect for grilling and chilling. It's just a short golf cart ride or stroll to the lake to catch the sunset or throw a fishing line! Huge Upstairs Kids Loft (low ceiling) with 2 double beds and large play area.
Our Cabin includes daily use of a private golf cart, 2 kayaks, 2 stand up paddle boards, corn hole boards and pickle-ball equipment! There is a second Golf Cart available, message for details!
The Resort has 2 heated pools and hot tub, along with 4 pickleball courts, shuffleboard and horseshoes. There is a small playground for kids. Enjoy the huge lakefront for swimming and kayaking. There is a boat ramp and fishing dock as well.

Bring your boat, jet skis, ATVs, and Side-by-Sides! There are over 100miles of trails in the Ocala National Forest. There is a large amount of space for trailer parking right at the cabin. Spend the day snorkeling at Salt Springs that is right across the street or a short drive to Silver Glenn and numerous other springs.

We are very close to several natural springs and many hiking trails. In addition, we are only 45 minutes away from Daytona Beach and/or 90 minutes from Orlando (ie Disney, SeaWorld or Universal Studios them parks).
