Relax on the cabin’s well-lit, fan-cooled 12’x24’ riverfront porch, watch the manatees that frequent the property’s two large docks, fish off the docks, or venture into the water in one of the cabin’s kayaks to explore this hidden paradise.
Inside the cabin, cathedral ceilings create an open, airy space. The living area is perfect for TV or family time, and the fully equipped kitchen includes everything needed to create and enjoy a full meal: a flat-top range, over-range microwave, roomy refrigerator, ice maker, dishwasher, disposal, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, and cooking utensils. The dining room table seats six.
In the evening, the master bedroom’s queen-sized bed and the second bedroom’s two twin beds invite guests to a peaceful night’s sleep without city lights and noise. The property’s two bathrooms include showers and a large, full-size soaking tub.
The cabin is loaded with modern-day comforts including WiFi throughout the house and Spectrum cable. A washer and dryer are provided, and the property is wheelchair accessible. We are sorry that we cannot accept pets of any kind.

We love both locations but the kids found swimming with the dolphins, manatees and in the crystal clear water as top notch! The cabin itself is very clean, stocked with kitchenware, a nice covered back porch, two docks right on the river, several options for kayaks/canoes, and a gas grill. We were able to watch two mamma manatees and their babies daily, a dolphin, blue crabs, fish, and a bull shark right off the docks. We had such a great week and we’re so sad to have it end. Once we found this haven, we fell in love and just had to create a retreat to share with you and your loved ones. Relax on the deck watching the wide variety of fish, manatees and kayakers year-round. If you’re feeling adventurous, our dock provides easy access into the 72-degree water. Life jackets, kayaks and snorkel gear are provided.

Be safe, the swift 3 mile/hour current can be challenging! Always bring a life jacket and whistle while kayaking on the river; it's the law.

We are always making upgrades and improvements, so you have the best experience possible. I bought this house because my love for the river. Our goal is to share this experience with vacation rental community and we want you to have an awesome time, but we do have some rules that must be followed to keep this part of the river and community pristine and tranquil.

This is a small residential neighborhood and letting the residents enjoy the peace and quiet of the river is important to us. If you are planning a large gathering or party, please choose a house down river. If the neighbors call because of noise, you may be asked to leave the property. If you park in the street your car will be towed. Also do not leave on exterior flood lights as they are very bright and keep the neighbors up.

In full disclosure we do have outdoor ring cameras. 2 on the pole at the driveway. 1 facing the street and 1 facing the house. 1 ring camera is on the shed facing the kayaks. 1 ring doorbell camera is at the door facing the river. This camera will not call anyone if the button is pressed. These cameras are not monitored and are only in place for security and safety. Ring stickers are placed on windows around the property.

Bring your bass boat or Charter a Guide and Fish a Top Southeastern U.S. Bass Lake, the famous Rodman Reservoir. Ferry Landing Boat Ramp is 3 miles down the road. If you did not bring a boat or enjoy fishing from land, there are numerous trails from camp that lead to the Ocklawaha River/Rodman Reservoir. It is a 5 minute ride on your ATV or 15 minutes if you prefer to walk to the water's edge.

Spend the day driving your Jeep, Rail Buggy or Quad through miles of OHV trails. If you came to ride, this is the place to stay. More quads than cars drive by this house on any given day. ATV tours also available nearby. Please adhere to National Forest licensing and permitting laws for your off-highway vehicle. As a remote location, it is recommended that you purchase your groceries and necessities before you get here. The closest store is just past the bridge in Eureka, a Dollar General Market 14 miles (17 minutes) away. There is a small grocery store in Fort McCoy approximately 18 miles (22 minutes) away. If you prefer a Publix or Walmart, it is approximately 18 miles (30 minutes) via dirt road to Palatka or 32 miles (35 minutes) to Silver Springs.

Please be advised: This property is located on a dirt road surrounded by the Ocala National Forest. While viewing deer, turkeys and turtles in the forest are common occurrences, other wildlife including bears and snakes (venomous & non-venomous) are also common. I would not recommend staying here if you are elderly, on the heavy side or have shoulder/back problems. ONLY because for me personally the beds are too low to the floor and I have shoulder problems. This is a unique home on the historic Braden River which flows directly into Ward Lake. The house sits on a dead end street that is surrounded by the river on one side and the lake on the other. CABIN DOOR OPENS DIRECTLY TO THE OUTSIDE AND WOODS- FEATURING INSECTS (MOTHS, ANTS, SPIDERS, SCORPIONS, ROACHES, MOSQUITOS, ETC - KEEP THE DOOR SHUT AND PREVENT INSECTS AND WILDLIFE FROM ENTERING YOUR CABIN. IN THE LAST 45 YEARS SOME INSECTS HAVE FOUND THEIR WAY INTO THE CABIN. HOUSEKEEPING DOES AN EXCELLENT JOB OF KEEPING INSECT & WILDLIFE OUT OF CABINS- BUT OCCASIONALLY THEY GET IN. Greetings from beautiful, rustic, peaceful, private Swan Lake. It’s a YouTube video that is filtered from/by Airbnb. We’d love to have you. Come visit with friends & family for a few nights. Bring bicycles and ride the trail ( a railroad track was pulled up and paved for an off road mostly shaded ride passes a few miles from swan lake), bring a spinning rod and a black rubber Worm with a white or light blue tip and catch some bass around sunrise or sunset - cook out over a campfire in the campfire area, toast marshmallows, grill hamburgers, or roast oysters - and make your own video. Thank you for considering Swan Lake. Another little tidbit. There’s never been a hurricane at swan lake - in history. A few tropical storms have passed over. South Floridians getting out of the storms path have visited during storms and extended their stays and return year after year, without fleeing a storm path. Sometimes wind around Swan knocks out power. We even have guests who extended their stays without power. Swsn lake water comes from a 140’ deep well- when the power is out, no power for the pump, That means carrying lake water in a 5 gallon bucket to flush the toilets.

Repeat guests often return with jugs to take Swan Lake well water back home.

A tranquil getaway in the middle of Ocala horse country. Our renovated cabin has a 1 bedroom (queen)/1 bath kitchen, new laundry, living & dining area and hi-speed internet. We thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. Watch the horses graze in the paddocks from your front porch or picnic outside. If you are visiting for a horse show, we are directly across from HITS and 10 minutes to WEC. We are 30 min to Rainbow & Silver Springs, 20 min to Canyons Zip Line and 15 min to Devil's Den.

The space
Fully equipped private one bedroom cabin nestled on a beautiful working horse farm. Our cabin has a full kitchen, newly added stackable washer/dryer, SmartTV and high speed internet. Queen size bed, shower/tub, dining area, outside porch and picnic table.

Take a morning stroll around the property to inhale the country air and watch the local wildlife. Our resident hawk, Captain Hook, may even make an appearance. Our beautiful pond has a fountain, picnic table, adirondack chairs and electricity to allow you to work uninterrupted. High speed internet is available throughout the property.

If you are a runner, our grass track is perfect for getting in your laps.

Barn tours are available with scheduling. Meet the famous show horses and our resident silver tail stallion that live at Opening Bell.

Guest access
There is an outdoor porch and picnic area exclusively for your cabin. The entire property is available for walks or sit by the arena and watch the horses school. We have a beautiful pond with fountain that lights up at night. There are chairs and picnic tables by the pond for your use. We even have electricity so you can work by the pond. The houses & barns are off limits without host permission.

Other things to note
Dogs are welcome - maximum of 1 dog per stay. Must be on a leash at all times. Pet fee required.

The property is protected 24x7 by a security gate and outdoor cameras for safety by farm entrance, arena, barns and outside of our personal home.
