BOATER INFORMATION: Boat safely and responsibly. Boating from Blue Chair Key is at your own risk. Cedar Key is shallow water until you reach the channels. Experienced boaters should study navigational charts and tides prior to boating in the area. We have two approaches from Bay access from the dock. The bay can be less than 2 feet deep at low tide.
The first bay access involves a bridge to the east that the State of Florida says is 6.5 feet high at mean high tide. In October, we have 5 feet of water at low tide at the dock and a clearance of +/- 6 feet at the bridge at high tide. Both vary greatly and you will need to judge the height on your approach.
The second bay access approach is via a tidal waterway to the west with a variety of depths depending on the tide. Check and know your height to the waterline, draft, tides and use your depth finder before navigating.

Seafoam Cottage vacation rental house is a two bedroom, two bath home on historic Second Street in Cedar Key, Florida. Seafoam was constructed in the 1880's and is rich in Cedar Key history. The new owners have remodeled, added on and refurnished it in a happy island style.

You'll find a comfortable living room with large sectional couch. Perfect for friends and family commiseration. WiFi is provided and we have a Smart TV without satellite. The house has central heat and air. The Master Bedroom has a comfortable Queen bed and the guest bedroom has bunk beds with a full size bed on the bottom and a and twin on top. Two bathrooms, the master has a tile shower and the guest bathroom has a clawfoot tub shower combo.

Kitchen is fully furnished and has dining for 4-6. The backsplash is a work of art in itself. It is a one of a kind handcrafted seaside themed creation of the owner. Everything is supplied here for cooking and dining.

The front porch is cool and comfortable and faces 2nd Street with a giant Live Oak tree nearby. The small pier at Pelican Place is located on the water directly in front of the house. This dock is excellent for fishing.

Pelican Place house comes fully furnished and well equipped. It is clean and neat and goes above and beyond even the McCormick Management Co. standards. The Kitchen is stocked well with all one needs for cooking and serving and dining in. The bedrooms are tastefully done and all your linens are supplied. There is a King bed in the master bedroom and a king bed in the guest. There is a tv in the guest bedroom but not the master. Both bathrooms have walk in showers, single sinks and toilet.

The living room is spacious and comfortable with seating for six and a wide screen smart tv. The dining area is great for conversation and dinner and games.

The waterside deck is fantastic for catching the gulf breeze and the Florida sun. The front porch has two comfortable swings with springs and cushions

Fishing is abundant here whether it is fishing from a bridge or a pier on inshore fishing or off shore fishing there is no shortage of ways to catch fish. You can even fish from your back yard!.

Tucked in the heart of Cedar Key village you'll find the Beach Shack. With its fresh interior, well-appointed furnishings and fabulous central location you can't go wrong!

Just 3 strolling blocks from the water and 2 from the delicious dining options of 2nd St, you won't need to drive unless you really want to. The famous Cedar Key Fishing Pier is less than a half mile and while you're out there check out the shops and restaurants on the water, the views at sunset can't be beat!

The Beach Shack has a beautifully open floor plan allowing for conversation between the living room, kitchen and dining areas.

The living room holds is a queen-sized pull-out couch and plush recliner for a total of 4-5 people to sit and chat or watch TV. With a fun and friendly beach vibe it's easy to feel at home here. Extra blankets and linens for the sofa bed are in the ottoman.

The kitchen is stocked with all the items you need to spend a weekend or a couple of months. Brand new stainless steel appliances include a built-in microwave, glass top electric stove/oven and large refrigerator with freezer on top. There's no shortage of updates here!!

A 2 person breakfast bar, along with a 4 person, round dining table, will give you more than enough seating for dining in.

The bedroom is just down the hall with a comfortable queen bed, large night stands, luggage racks and closet. The full ensuite has a single sink, toilet and tub shower combo.

There is a half bath in the hall.

Outside you will find a brand new deck enclosed by almost invisible screen. With comfortable seating for 4, this is great place to sit back and enjoy a cold beverage at the end of the day. Outback there is a gas grill and fire table, we provide the presto logs and ask that those are the only things burned.

Other amenities to note are a stacking washer and dryer, additional closet for storage, vacuum, standing fan, extra pillows and blankets, games, fee WiFi and ceiling fan.

Inside you'll find vaulted ceilings with distressed tongue and groove wood highlighting an open floor plan. Custom kitchen is fully stocked with cooking essentials, quartz countertops, glass tile backsplash. Dining room features a french-bead chandelier and zinc-topped dining table for four. Don't miss the great view down Main Street from the dining room window! Each bedrooms is beautifully set up for comfort and relaxation. Master bedroom has a TV with Spectrum service, guest bedroom has TV with DVD player. We have recently installed 600 Mbps Spectrum internet and TV, allowing you to work from your home away from home. This is the fastest service available in Cedar Key, and a far cry from most places with 3-7 Mbps. Stream movies all night long in the living room, check your email quickly before heading out on the boat, or surf the net for anything and everything! Both bedrooms offer premium ultra comfortable mattresses, and quality linens. Best of all is the porch off the dining area! With its own dining table and comfy pair of Southern rocking chairs, you'll find yourself spending more time outside than in. A great spot for people watching, the balcony with historic balustrade is breezy and has great views of historic downtown Cedar Key. You'll find the "peeled paint" on the flooring out there to be vintage charm with a surprise--it's tile! Just across the street are three great places--Bonish Studios (unique small bar), Main Street Mercantile (our favorite home decor and more shop in town!), as well as Cedar Key's hippest coffee shop, 1842 Daily Grind. Find scones, muffins, light breakfast and lunch specials, italian sodas, and of course, great coffee! Don't miss Prickly Palm for delicious smoothies, açaí bowls, light menu, and a great coffee menu.
Due to the prime location of this studio, NO private parking is available--Street Parking Only! Boats/trailers will not be able to park near the studio. Parking for boats/trailers will need to be near the marina, just one block away. Entry for the studio is currently around the side of the building and is NOT paved. Tenants should be prepared to bring their luggage through a mowed area. It's Cedar Key style--nothing fancy but functional. This is a pet friendly unit with a max of 2 dogs! Pet fee is $50 per pet per visit, 2 pet maximum. If you did not pay a pet fee on booking, please contact us immediately. Evidence of pets in unit without paying the pet fee as required will result in a penalty of $300 charge to your card on file. Please check with us on any other pets. We do require that pets do not get on bed or furniture and do not leave barking dogs in the unit. Please pick up after your pet when outdoors. Rate Notes: A 3.5% Credit Card Fee will be Applied
