River s Edge West is located in the heart of downtown Apalachicola near Oyster City Brewery and night life. It has a queen bed and queen sleeper sofa which can easily accommodate four travelers. The coffee bar constructed of old river cypress has under counter refrigerator, coffee station and hot plate for your convenience. Your room is located on the second floor of the newly constructed building. Entrance is via the street side entrance and stairwell. You must be able to navigate stairs since we do not have an elevator to the second story. Your private bathroom has a walk in shower with glass tile block, river rock and porcelain tile to relax in after a day at the beach or a night on the town. Tastefully decorated but not frumpy River s Edge West has the feel of old Apalachicola.

This is a one bedroom / one bath Loft with a kitchenette & eating area looking out to your own personal Bridge balcony. The Loft was built using true southern restoration pieces like an antique farm sink and 100+ year old cub-bards from the McDonald homestead in South Georgia. Reclaimed cypress beams accent the sliding barn door which is also a refinished piece which is about 150 years old as well. The shabby chic mantel is also from a home in the original neighborhood of the legendary 'Doc Holliday' who was from Lowndes County (just over the Georgia/Florida line).

While history is all around, the modern-day oversized Garden Tub bath awaits you to ease away the time and relax. Then 'above it all' are the huge skylights constructed through the tin ceiling. From the ultra plush pillowtop bed, You can lie back and count the stars or watch the clouds roll by after an afternoon restful retreat.

This property is a unique and well appointed floating condo with all updated features. It has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a double bed. There is 1.5 bathrooms which share a shower but still retain complete privacy for each bedroom's occupants. The kitchen has all of the features of a modern home such as a full size refrigerator, new stove and microwave. Small appliances include a coffee maker (coffee provided), blender, toaster, electric can opener along with dishes and glasses and more. The kitchen surfaces are solid Corian with indoor dining seating available for 4. All furnishings are very upscale. The art features a local artist, Tom Tiffin, who has captured a very authentic portrayal of a local shrimp fishing boat. The best feature is the large front porch which offers a spectacular views of both sunrises by looking to the right and sunsets on your left. There are always either boats, fish or birds to view from your porch. Today, I saw 2 dolphins swim by. This area includes seating for 6.. The all electric 950 sq. ft. houseboat offers all of the modern systems including an easily controlled air conditioner/heating system It has an aluminum hull and is surrounded by a new floating dock system which makes getting off and on a breeze. A comfortable temperature can be maintained at all times of the year by merely opening the front and back doors to the river breezes. This is indeed a wonderful way to spend a relaxing and comfortable vacation.

Just a 5 minute walk to town as your floating home is moored just a couple of blocks from downtown Apalachicola. You may spend your time browsing the shops and art galleries in the area or dine at the many restaurants in town which specialize in the fresh seafood of the area. The famous Up the Creek Restaurant and Raw Bar is located right next door and serves the best oysters in town along with a variety of other fish, chicken or beef. For more upscale dining, there is the Owl Cafe and the Gibson Inn which serve a variety of dishes. The freshest fish and seafood in town is served at the Station. Downtown Apalachicola's shops, restaurants and bars are only a 2 or 3 block walk from your floating home.
For the beach lovers, a twilight stroll along with beaches of St. George Island is a short 15 minute drive away. The panhandle beaches with their white sandy beaches are rated some of the best in the United States. You can get a panoramic view of the surrounding area by walking to the top of the St. George Island lighthouse. For sunbathing, the State Park is the best kept secret with a very secluded beach for your enjoyment.

She gave us a little history of the town & her boat rentals. If you are looking for a small town to go & relax, then this is the place for you. We spent alot of our time just relaxing on the back deck enjoying the water. This town is a no-frills, laid back, friendly , quite place. The stores / restaurants close pretty early & some places are closed on Sunday / Monday. It is worth the drive to take the bridge over to St. George. The beach at the State Park there was absolutely perfect. No crowds & the softest sand ever. We went into this vacation looking for relaxation in a non-tourist trap atmosphere and that is exactly what we got. Everything was GREAT! Thank you Karen for offering such an awesome rental."

The Bee Hive is a newly addition to Apalachicola Vacation Rental properties. One year old, this roomy 1 bedroom / 1.5 bathroom private apartment is in mint condition with many amenities. It is located on the 2nd floor, downtown Apalachicola, off the beaten path - but only 1/2 block from our local brewery. The kitchen is well appointed, the living room is cozy and the bedroom has a king bed with dresser. Come relax on our porches, enjoy a touch of a river view and make this your perfect getaway.

The STUDIO LIBERTY APT. is perfect cozy apartment for extended or short stays! It is our only rental that is pet friendly! Located in the old bank lobby attached to the Majestic Jewel. Full kitchen, bedroom with QUEEN SIZE bed and sitting area, full bath & breakfast table for 2. Wrap around veranda, dining room, hospitality lobby & grand salon are shared with other guests of the Majestic Jewel. Amenities available: wifi, complimentary coffee, tea, cold drinks, milk and cereal. Plenty of well lit parking, trailers welcome. Just a few blocks to town, the river wharf & bay. Take a 10 minute drive to the beautiful beaches on St George Island or 20 minute drive to Cape San Blas. Simply enjoy the ambiance of this historical jewel!

We encourage guests to use all of the common areas in the original parts of the home.

Enjoy our beautiful Garden Suite located in Historic Apalachicola. Expansive windows allows so much natural light and beautiful views of gardens and Historical Chestnut Cemetary. Park your vehicle and walk to all our beautiful town has to offer. This suite is very private, has its own entry, and a very comfortable King bed. The suite also has a nice sitting area with two accent chairs. The bathroom has a small but precious antique clawfoot tub equipped with a shower. We offer WiFi and cable streaming via YouTube TV. The AUTUMN MOON SUITE is a huge suite on 2nd floor of the Majestic Jewel Inn, located just blocks away from Historical downtown. It is bright & sunny with an amazing view from the bay window which is flanked with room darkening drapes. Beautifully furnished with a very comfortable KING SIZE bed, camel back sofa & chair, smart tv (but no cable) & small fridge. The addition of a modern bathroom with tiled shower completes the suite. It opens up to a shared living room & access to the sitting area on the upper veranda. Six other suites & a Hospitality Lobby, Kitchenette, Grand Salon & Dining Room are available for guests to enjoy. Although we are NOT a B & B, we do supply guests with self-serve coffee, tea, cold drinks, bottle water, milk, cereal & oatmeal PLUS an excellent environment to mix & mingle or simply relax!
