Welcome to 'The Annex'! We are located within a three minute walk of central Framlingham on a private no-through road. Our aim of The Annex is to create a quiet, comfortable and private space. We have ensured The Annex is suitable for most people by keeping the bedroom and all the amenities you need on the ground floor. The road is so quiet that you will hear the birds sing, especially when you sit in the private outside area in the morning sun.

The Annex is modern comprising of a large main area downstairs which comprises of a double bedroom with Smart TV, kitchen, dining table and shower room. The upstairs living room (chill out room) has a sofa and chair, a Smart TV with streaming, a galaxy star light (extra fun) and an old school record deck and records, plus a computer workstation desk. This enables you to choose whether you enjoy using the downstairs or use the whole space. We have tried hard to ensure all the little extras and comforts have been thought about, including a temperature thermostat.

The space is most ideal for two people, however we have added the extra option of a third person on a single memory foam bed at an additional charge of £25 per night (payable on arrival as we aren't able to add this option to VRBO), as three people can work fine too or two people who may require separate beds. There is no additional charge for 2 people wanting separate beds.

The Muse is all on the ground floor making it a suitable option every adult member of the family. 2-12 yr olds are not permitted although babes in arms are considered.

Both bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms, with walk-in showers and there are no steps or uneven floors.

The only stairs are wooden and quite steep, leading to a mezzanine gallery space with a desk and chair, which is going to be furnished with a comfy sofa.

Surrounded by windows with shutters, The Muse is a very spacious and bright property for guests to enjoy at any time of the year. The under-floor heating keeps the property toasty warm in the winter and during the summer, the shutters can be closed and the patio doors opened, to let the outside in.

The extremely well equipped kitchen offers the chefs of the group everything they'll need on a self-catering break away.

There are two dining spaces to choose from and two living rooms. It's all open plan, a very social property with the benefit of two en-suite double bedrooms.

The central living space has two huge sofas, a wide electric flame effect fire and a massive 75 inch Bang and Olufson TV. Probably to largest and coolest TV in a holiday let ever!

- "This Farmhouse has an abundance of outdoor space and a small games room adjacent to the property. There is a long breakfast table, which easily accommodated 5 adults and 3 children and close by a tv, games & books for entertainment. Two separate lounges downstairs one has a tv (with Netflix) and the other lounge is for reading. There is a modern outdoor table and chairs perfect for having an evening meal. It is one of the most well equipped properties we have stayed in and has an EV charger (via the TAP app) attached to the house. Framlingham Castle (English Heritage) is a very short drive away and holds child activities throughout the day. There is a barbecue but this needs to be replaced. I took my own and was glad I did. We would all stay at the Farmhouse again as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Old Mill House pub (which is within walking distance) provided excellent hospitality for an evening meal with a play area outside for small children. "

There are many excellent networks of walks and cycle routes meandering through the pretty Suffolk villages, both country and coastal. The cottage is situated in the heart of Framlingham just one street from the Market Square (25 yards). Framlingham is a small market town and home to the magnificent twelfth century castle belonging to the Earls and Dukes of Norfolk through the centuries. It is said that Mary I spent time here in 1553, before going to London to reclaim her throne from Lady Jane Grey.

Visit Saint Michael’s church where you can see the tomb of Henry Fitzroy - the illegitimate son of Henry VIII. You’ll notice the tomb is decorated with heraldic iconography, showing how important he was to his father.

Famously the multi-award winning singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran grew up in Framlingham and began writing songs inspired by the local area. His 2017 single ‘Castle on the Hill’ was inspired by the castle in his hometown.

Framlingham is the perfect town for a stroll, shop and glimpse of history – there’s even a Town Trail marking all the primary sites of historic interest. Please note that as with many cottages built in this era 1600's, the steps to the 1st floor are quite steep, care needs to be taken. The bathroom/toilet is downstairs. The three bedrooms are interconnecting (there is no separate hallway). The stairs lead directly into the master bedroom. There is a door to the small middle room which then leads to the second double bedroom. Please check the photographs before booking.
