- "I think the words, "shabby chic" apply here. Although nothing too shabby, the fabrics in the blinds are lovely, I think its the wood floors that give it this look. The berooms are lovely and comfortable, although the electric shower in the downstairs suite was a bit poor on power. The lounge accommodated our family group of 7 well, with comfy chairs and settee. The garden is small, just adequate for older children really, theres a drop and a wall, which might make it difficult for toddlers, but nice views over village green and boating lake. Its in a good position for activities beach, boating and mini golf. Kitchen is well equipped. Our stay here worked very well."

Alexander House is a large, elegant, detached house, tucked away on a quiet private track in the quintessential holiday village of Thorpeness, which inspired J M Barrie's Peter Pan. This idyllic house is just a short stroll down to the beautiful beach, and the Meare, both perfect for creating lifelong memories with the children! A fabulous choice for friends and family get-togethers.

This lovely farmhouse provides a wonderful base for exploring the stunning coastline of Suffolk. The open-plan ground floor provides a modern, light space to relax, wine, dine and entertain. The large kitchen is well equipped with a conventional aga range cooker, large American style fridge freezer and dishwasher. French doors open directly to the surrounding garden with outdoor table and chairs. There's plenty of sofas for everyone to kick back in, and a widescreen Sky television for all to enjoy. The second sitting room has the added benefit of a wood burning stove, and a further television. There's a ground floor cloakroom and shower room, perfect for those who struggle with stairs.

To the first floor, there are two bedrooms; one twin, and one super-king room with en-suite bathroom. There is also a family bathroom.

Outside there is a large enclosed garden, great for dogs, which backs onto the practice range for Thorpeness Golf Club. There is parking for up to five cars.

- "A lovely well equipped house in a beautiful area. A very good location to explore the delights of Suffolk. Amazing array of wildlife" - "Really enjoyed the house, it was clean and comfy and on the golf course and just 60 yards from the pub. The only negative points were no tea, coffee or milk provided on arrival. The super king mattress in the master was a bit hard round the edges and the bins have to be wheeled right down the lane to be emptied ! Very small points were no tumblers for a G&T or squash and very small mugs !"
