The Werri Shack is under two hours south of Sydney and is situated in the picturesque coastal town of Gerringong. This beach house is located on the coast in dairy and wine country - "where the mountains meet the sea".

This funky little beach shack offers views from headland to headland, a spectacular sunrise and a fantastic opportunity to watch the whales from the deck during the migratory seasons.

The Werri Shack is located in a quiet street and is just a very brief walk to the beach or village centre. This contemporary beach shack and its layout has chill, relax, & fun written all over it. With two living areas, a large balcony with BBQ, a secondary outdoor area with additional dining area and day bed offers space to relax, escape or simply enjoy good times with family and friends. Two televisions, Foxtel (not including sports channels), Sonos Sound, unlimited Wi-Fi, PlayStation, table tennis, day beds and the mandatory surfboard rack, all add to the comfort and charm!

How is the property laid out?

The Werri Beach Shack has Three bedrooms. Two bedrooms are located upstairs, with the master offering one king sized bed & Bedroom 2 has a flexible configuration whereby it is made up as one king sized bed, however that can be split into two king singles by arrangement at the time of booking.

The kitchen is well equipped with coffee machine, dishwasher, microwave and has a sevrery window opening up to the deck.

Downstairs you will find Bedroom 3 with two single beds. The living area on this level has two day beds & quality linen is provided.

There is also a table tennis, lounge, TV and glass sliding door to outdoor area and backyard.

Bathrooms and separate toilets are located on both levels with the downstairs bathroom accommodating both a washing machine and dryer.

Bedding configuration - please note that Bedroom 2 upstairs can be spilt into two singles or can be left in the default configuration of a king bed. Please let us know a preference at the time of making your booking. Bedding configuration request made after that time cannot always be accommodated.

The Werri Shack has a spacious undercover back deck off the kitchen dining area upstairs which overlooks a fenced garden. There is a large timber table with chairs, sun lounger and gas BBQ.

Downstairs there is a large sliding door opening to an undercover outdoor area with dining table and chairs and a very comfortable daybed. The garden is fully enclosed to keep your pet safe.

Staying warm or keeping cool?

There is a gas fire in the upstairs living room, portable heaters, an outdoor gas heater is provided on the back deck to keep you warm in Winter. There are ceiling fans in all the bedrooms to keep you cool in Summer. Louver windows and doors can be opened to catch the sea breeze.

What about sheets, towels and other supplies?

Quality pillows, blankets, doonas, linen and bath towels are provided at this property. Please however bring your favourite beach towel!

There is off street, open air parking for two cars on the driveway.

Where will I be?

Hamilton is located on a Gerringong Hilltop, it has views down to Werri Beach and is a short walk to the beach or into town where there are shops, cafes and restaurants.

Hamilton has a great central location within easy walking distance to all amenities. The house is a stunning minimalist beach house with amazing views over the ocean. Hamilton offers the best of both worlds - close to the beach but also with a swimming pool! The entry way can be locked providing security and privacy for your stay. Snuggle up in front of the gas fireplace in the living room while you watch surfers take on the waves at Werri Beach or gather the family in the very comfortable upstairs outdoor entertaining area.

How is the property laid out?

Hamilton is a modern two storey house with high quality fixtures and fittings, it is styled in beautiful soft and relaxing neutral tones.Upstairs is a queen bedroom, master bedroom and ensuite bathroom with bath, shower, vanity and toilet and combined kitchen/living/dining area. The generous open plan kitchen, living and dining area is exceptionally appointed and captures spectacular North-East and North-West views of ocean and mountains.

The kitchen is sleek and sophisticated with dishwasher, microwave, electric oven and induction cooktop and a double door integrated fridge. There is a dining table to seat ten (with room for two extra chairs if required).

The living room has a modern gas fireplace, comfy couch and spectacular views of the ocean. There are electric blinds to provide privacy at night and glass sliding doors that open right up to the entertainment deck. The massive smart Samsung TV and Bluray DVD player is wall mounted and there is an extensive DVD and board game collection for your entertainment.

Downstairs there are four bedrooms, two with queen beds, one with two single beds, and one with a bunk bed. All bedrooms open up to the backyard. There are two bathrooms: a main with shower, vanity and toilet and another with bath, shower, vanity and toilet. Separate to the main house, but fully under cover is also a laundry with washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board.

WiFi, Netflix, Pay TV - will I have it?

This property provides complimentary WiFi and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email, or will be available at the property. Please note however that neither the agency nor the owner can guarantee 100% that the WiFi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If important, please therefore always have a back up plan.

What about outdoors?

There is a large outdoor entertaining deck off the upstairs living area with outdoor lounge, fixed Smeg Gas BBQ and views over Werri Beach. In the backyard, there is a swimming pool with deck area. The lawn is fully fenced with a deck area, steam room and outdoor shower.

Staying warm or keeping cool?!

Hamilton has remote control blinds and in the living/kitchen area and ceiling fans in all the bedrooms. There is a gas fireplace in the living room for the cooler months.

The Neighborhood:
Gerringong: A stunning rural coastal town, drawing tourists in to explore the rich culture of art and cafes, Gerringong is a must-see if you are staying with us at Ocean Farm.

While it is perfectly understood that you may plan to relax at the house and never leave, should you want to venture out, Gerringong has much to offer.

Stop by the Fern Street Gallery to see work by local artists or join one of the many ever-changing workshops at Willowvale Road. If art and craft is not your style, there are many historical sites to explore. Last but not least, Gerringong is known for being a beach town with the incredible Werri Beach, so be sure to pack your swimsuit.

Berry: A 15-minute drive from Ocean Farm. If you like your town's cute and quaint with great bakeries selling delicious treats and small shops selling unique and quirky items, then Berry is the place for you! As part of the Shoalhaven Coast wine region, you’ll be impressed by Berry’s food and wine.

We feel that Berry is the perfect country getaway and the area offers plenty to see and do. Berry is rich in cultural history, so check out the local art galleries and historical museums. Berry is also a wonderful town to picnic in the park with the family.

Gerroa: A 7 to 10-minute drive South of Ocean Farm. A tiny little town with a long beach. Great for younger kids to play in the sand or walk along the hard-packed sand for miles. Fishing, surfing, windsurfing, and kiteboarding are among the top things to do in Gerroa. Walk along the Gerroa Headland and see dolphins or spot whales migrating along the coast between May and November.

The Seven Mile Beach National Park is worth a visit, and you can be sure to find the perfect picnic spot. Explore the rock pools at low tide at Black Head or visit the Sir Charles Kingsford Smith Memorial and Lookout for the best view of the coast.

Getting Around:
We suggest using your own mode of transport around the area.

Gerringong town centre is a short 5-minute drive should you crave a barista-style coffee or the weekend paper.

THE CATTLE:

The cattle are all friendly and not dangerous. If they come running up to you do not worry, they are just curious. They will not hurt you. However. If you feel nervous, a loud “SHOO” and a wave of your arms should send them running.
