The GARDEN is mainly lawned - encouraging visits by the local kangaroos which often stop by of an evening. There is also a BIRD TABLE which is topped up daily and brings many colourful visitors. Lawn games are provided - suitable for both children and adults.

The master bedroom contains a king-size bed.The TV lounge linking between the bathroom at one end and the master bedroom at the other.

The BATHROOM has a shower, vanity with storage, a toilet, and a FRONT-LOADING WASHING MACHINE. Both QUALITY TOILET PAPER and LAUNDRY DETERGENT are provided.

Located in the heart of the village, Nautilus is diagonally across the road from the Hyams Beach Cafe and just up from the main entrance to Hyams Beach. It has great views over Jervis Bay from an elevated position.

With wonderful views of the bay, ceiling fan and an outdoor setting, the front verandah is a very livable and relaxing aspect of Nautilus. These heritage cottages were originally built in the 1920s as fisherman’s cabins. They operated continuously since the 1920’s until the late twentieth century as family holiday cabins. In 1998 the seven remaining cabins were transformed into quaint colourful one bedroom seaside cottages which quickly became a preferred romantic getaway in the heart of Jervis Bay.

Where will I be?

Seascape Cottage sits on the beach side of Cyrus Street, right behind the Hyams Beach Cafe. Either the main beach at Hyams, or the little middle beach in the village are an easy walk from here. This location offers you the convenience of the beach and cafe, whilst also giving you privacy and seclusion away from the road.

Why choose Seascape Cottage?

This townhouse is decorated in a lovely Hamptons theme, with fantastic views all the way to Point Perpendicular. The two deck spaces offer shelter from the wind or sun as necessary. A slow combustion wood fire makes this a perfect winter retreat.

How is the property laid out?

On the ground floor there are two beautifully decorated bedrooms overlooking the leafy courtyard garden. The main queen bedroom has a small private deck accessed via sliding doors, and a TV for those quiet times. The second bedroom has a tri bunk furnished with luxury linen. Also on this level is a bathroom with a roomy shower plus separate basin and toilet. The European style laundry is right next to the bathroom complete with a dryer.

Step upstairs into a light airy integrated living space with two decks both with ocean views to Bowen Island and Point Perpendicular. The living area has plenty of seating for all of your guests to relax and enjoy the views, or watch a movie whilst the cook in the family can be a part of the conversation in the well equipped kitchen, which includes a water filter tap. The Hyams Beach Seaside Cottages are quaint colourful heritage cottages nestled along a creek with north facing verandahs. They are the perfect spot to take in the tranquility of Jervis Bay. The cottages contain a bedroom with ensuite, sitting room and a balcony overlooking the small tree-lined creek that crisscrosses the site. The staggered layout of the cottages ensures that each has a view towards Jervis Bay from a north facing deck. The beaches and café are only minutes from your front door! These heritage cottages were originally built in the 1920s as fisherman’s cabins. They operated continuously since the 1920’s until the late twentieth century as family holiday cabins. In 1998 the seven remaining cabins were transformed into quaint colourful one bedroom seaside cottages which quickly became a preferred romantic getaway in the heart of Jervis Bay.

Hyams Beach Seaside Cottages are in the Jervis Bay National Park on the walkway to Huskisson. Dolphin and whale watch cruises, restaurants and Booderee National Park are only a ten minute drive from the cottages and the Hyams Beach Cafe is a short walk up the road.

Where will I be?

Rose Cottage is located on the corner of Aster and Rose Streets in the very Northwest corner of the Hyams Beach village. Across the road is National Park land so all is quiet and peaceful and full of animal and bird life. Chinamans Beach is a very easy walk along Aster Street and the Hyams Beach Cafe is either a slightly longer walk or a very easy drive.

Why choose Rose Cottage?

Rose Cottage is a classic Hyams cottage with many original features including a separate outside toilet that adjoins the house, an original bathroom with shower only and a 1950's fridge that you will never see elsewhere. It is easy to get back to basics with NO television or dishwasher in this cottage. For these reasons, the cottage may be too rustic for some, but it is otherwisea quaint, cosy and good option for a coupleor small family. If in doubt, please phone us to be clear about how rustic the cottage is.

How is the property laid out?

Rose Cottage has a small living room, kitchen, queen bedroom, twin bedroom and combined laundry/shower bathroom inside. The toilet is connected to the bathroom area, but you have to go outside (all under cover) to access it. There is also a porch by the front door with views down Aster Street to Chinamans beach.

The Boathouse has a lovely natural bush setting in the increasingly sought after Silver Strand Circle. You will discover that this is a quiet and peaceful pocket of Hyams Beach, yet still only a two minute walk to the main beach. It is also an easy stroll up to the cafe for coffee or a meal.

The high ceilings and open plan living create a wonderful space to relax. Open the French doors to the deck and let the breeze blow in, all while relaxing in the hammock.

How is the property laid out?

Boathouse One is a three level home. You enter via the front deck through bifold doors into the open plan living, with well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge and dining areas. On the next level you have the second bedroom, with a queen and single bed, and the combined laundry and bathroom. You also access the backyard through the laundry. On the top level is the master bedroom, which is loft style (open, yet private), with an ensuite and walk in robe. Very stylish, and very comfortable! The lounge area has a combustion wood stove for creating great warmth and ambience on a chilly day.

How is the property laid out?

This tiny home is luxury designed with comfort in mind, offering modern amenities such as high speed internet, smart TV and sound bar, a fully equipped kitchen with a luxurious bathroom and laundry. The bedroom features a generous queen-size bed with the cabin accommodating up to two guests, making it an ideal spot for a romantic couples getaway.

Wi-Fi and streaming services - will I have them?

Complimentary Wi-Fi is available and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email. Please note that neither The Holidays Collection nor the owner can guarantee 100% that Wi-Fi will work, and no compensation will be payable if problematic. If Wi-Fi is important, please therefore always have a backup plan.

What about sheets, towels and other supplies?

Akora Cabin at Hyams Beach supplies luxury linen and towels. Please however bring your favourite beach towel.

Parking for cars, boats etc.?

When entering the driveway from the road, parking is immediately on the left hand side of the driveway. Cabin parking for one car is available on the grass area to the left of the wooden fence (street-facing side). Please do not park on the concrete to the right of the wooden fence as this space is allocated to Akora House.

Important: The main concrete driveway is a right of way to both Akora House and Akora Cabin and must be kept clear at all times.

Is my dog or cat also welcome to stay?

Sorry, Akora Cabin at Hyams Beach is not pet friendly. Please contact us for a list of our many pet friendly options.

What are the minimum stay rules?

- Summer Season: Between 2 and 7 nights, depending on the property
- Easter: 4 nights
- Long Weekends: 3 nights
- All other times: 2 nights

Are there any special Summer Season rules?

Please note that during Summer Season, our properties may have designated changeover days so as to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

- "This is high quality accommodation and very well situated - only a minute or two’s walk to one of the best beaches in Australia. The cabin is nicely furnished with all modern conveniences. The bathroom is excellent with good hot water and good quality towels. The cabin is designed for only 2 occupants sharing one bed and is quite adequate for that. When we arrived we went to put the electric jug on for a cup of tea. My wife emptied the jug and brown water came out. On investigation there was a brown sediment baked on to the heating element inside the jug. It appears to have been used by a previous occupant to heat something like gravy. The gunk could not be removed with the cleaning utensils and products available. I telephoned the agent and was promised a replacement jug - it never arrived - so we had to boil water in a saucepan to make tea. This was only a minor inconvenience and did not detract from our overall satisfaction with the accommodation. My only other criticism is the parking space allotted to the occupants of the cabin. There was a large group occupying the adjacent Akora House and they had 3 or 4 vehicles in the drive. This made reversing our car out of a tight space quite difficult. Fortunately the Akora House people were there for only two nights."
