“Blush...the tiniest champagne bar” with an upstairs loft. The first upcycled vintage mobile home, the HunnyHAUS, is also currently available as a 2-br and 2-bath with its own private hot tub. This home, located within Art Park (see more details below) is in the charming village of Chatham, NY--just a 2-minute walk to Main Street with restaurants, the Chatham Brewery, unique shops, antiques, vintage clothing, theater, art galleries, Crandell movie theater. Less than 1 mile (walkable with sidewalks) north on Center Street/Route 66 is Crellin Park with a swimming pond (with lifeguard), basketball, tennis courts, skateboarding, trails along the river. PS21 abuts the park and you can access their scenic groomed trails from the back of Crellin Park.

You can stay at the Sugar Shack and walk to just about anything you need. The closest grocery store is about 1 mile. There is a drug store within .5 miles as well as a food coop and a small convenience shop.

This extremely private luxury home with Catamount Ski views and close to The Barn at Liberty Farms is situated on 33-acres at the end of a cul de sac and is located in Columbia County just 10 minutes from the Massachusetts boarder and 30 minutes from the Vermont border. - "We had a good stay. Property was as seen in pictures and on-line description. A very pretty and relaxing setting wi the daily visits from the neighboring peacocks. We had a few minor issues which the owner quickly addressed. Only drawback we identified is the bathroom layout. Two of the three full baths were en suite - leaving four bedrooms to share the remaining full bath. There was a half bath that helped. Also, only one bath had a walk-in shower. We had several seniors which created a little shower gridlock - especially since the other full baths were a bit slippery."

The Pinetop Cabin is a modern, sustainably built, architect-designed cabin that is the perfect retreat from the city. This open, airy 2-bedroom sits on 2+ acres of woods and wildflowers. The cabin is spacious, light-filled, and cozy. It is equipped with a stocked kitchen, large deck, a conveniently split full bathroom, and high-speed fiber internet. Much of the furniture is custom-made by the owner. Includes all the conveniences of a modern home in a country cabin setting. Perfect for a couples weekend, small family, romantic get-away, or work retreat. While at the cabin, you feel like you are away from it all, but the charming main street of Chatham is only a 10 minute drive and the cabin is close to route 203 for easy access to local spots and travel. There’s so much to explore with close proximity to the Berkshires (20 minutes to Great Barrington, Tanglewood, and Jacob’s Pillow), Hudson (30 minutes), and many great smaller Hudson Valley towns. In the summer, there are tons of trails to hike, outdoor activities, and farm stands for some of the Northeast’s best produce. In the winter, you are close to ski mountains like Butternut (20 minutes), Catamount, Windham, Hunter, and Jiminy Peak. There are good fishing opportunities nearby, too.

Second, the wood stove was not operative, which on a chilly March morning would have been nice to have. Regardless, it's terrific and will return in future."

Tucked away on private lane and bordering hundreds of acres of preserved land, this tastefully renovated 1840 farmhouse offers a perfect country escape with all the best Columbia County has to offer. This 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom home sleeps up to 6 people (yet works just as well for one or two people), is loaded with character, and features original pine floors and trim, new bathrooms with dinner-plate-sized shower heads and marble floors, and a kitchen featuring Viking/Sub Zero/Bosch appliances, with designer furnishings/decor and high-speed internet.

The interior of the home is modern, understated and unexpectedly luxurious. This is our weekend home and we renovated it to have a quiet escape for ourselves, outfitting it with finishes, furniture and objects that we enjoy. We are opening it up for rent after having shared it with friends and family and hope to find others who love it as much as we do. The kitchen is outfitted with everything you would ever need for a chef to cook a meal, including Jura and Ascaso espresso machines, Calphalon/Staub pots and pans, good wine glasses/dishes/flatware/bar accoutrements, etc.

The ground floor has 9’ ceilings and contains a large Living Room with a decorative fireplace (not for use) and TV, dining room, a 3-season screened-in porch (storm windows for the winter months), a large mudroom with LG washer and dryer, country kitchen and dinette, foyer, one bedroom, a full bathroom, and a 700-square foot bluestone terrace with teak furniture outside. Three additional bedrooms and two recently renovated bathrooms occupy the second floor.

While well-behaved children and pets are welcome, this is not a party house. It’s the ideal place to escape to the country with a screened in porch, a good bathtub and light-filled rooms with high quality mattresses, too many coffee table books and designer furniture. There are also premium mattresses, high quality linens and towels and every type of pillow option imaginable.

Location:
Located on a tree-lined, quiet country road, just east of the Taconic, it’s a 20-minute drive to Hudson (Amtrak stop) and 30-minutes to Great Barrington, in the hills of NW Hillsdale, and a five-minute drive to the famed Hawthorne Valley Farm Store. It’s a 2 hour drive to NYC and 2h 15 min drive to Boston. The house is nestled above a small stream with a separate garage space from the main driveway, allowing for tons of natural light, open fields and privacy. We have one neighbor with hundreds of acres of property, so the home is reached at the end of a private road.

Kitchen: Sub Zero refrigerator, Viking Range, Bosch dishwasher, high quality pans and dishware, along with every cooking device, type of serve ware and appliance you could imagine, i.e. a citrus juicer, blenders, Dualit toaster, custom pizza stone for the oven, etc. For example, we are coffee fanatics, so we have a Chemix pour over, a French press, an Ascaso espresso machine, a Jura coffee/espresso machine, a Japanese kettle and iced coffee maker -- we like options! It’s these details that make staying at the home an enjoyable experience.

Mudroom: slate floors with an LG Washer and Dryer, sink and a great space to store everything, along with anything you could want for the property: snow shoes, candles, bug spray, board games, Rowenta iron, raclette machine, air fryer, etc.

Terrace: Recently built a 700 square foot blue stone terrace with Barlow Tyrie teak furniture (table and living space) and gas Weber grill. We also have a great charcoal grill if you prefer to cook with that. We just added a Yukon SoloStove fire place for the terrace that's really easy to use and does not leave you smelling of smoke. During the spring and summer, we spend most of our time on the screened-in porch that has three sun exposures and is fully weather protected (it’s enclosed with storm windows for Fall/Winter).

4 Bedrooms:
1. Primary Bedroom: King-size bed with master bathroom (2 people) – upstairs.
Incredible mattress, good linens and lots of pillow options.
2. Guest Bedroom 1: queen-size bed (2 people) – upstairs. Same mattress as primary bedroom.
3. Guest Bedroom 2: XL Twin Donald Judd-style bed (1 person) – upstairs. Great mattress, Parachute linens
4. Guest Bedroom/Office 3: currently used as an office with a CB2 daybed (ideal 1 person, but turns into a queen bed that can sleep 2 people comfortably with the featherbed, if need be, sleeping up to 7 people for the home, but we really prefer 6 people max, and do not recommend a couple sleeping in that room; it’s not as nice an experience as the others) - ground floor

3 Bathrooms:
1. Master Bathroom: freestanding soaking tub; huge shower with dinner plate-sized rainfall shower head, standard shower head and jets for the wall; marble floors, shiplap walls, glass dividers, heat lamp and freestanding sink, Restoration Hardware fittings.
2. 2nd Floor Hall guest bath. Recently renovated, huge shower with dinner plate-sized rainfall shower and standard shower heads, vintage sink and nice chrome RH hardware.
3. Ground floor full bathroom is more standard, but the shower gets excellent water pressure (Speakman showerhead).

Technology:
We have high speed fiber optic internet (500 Mbps) and a cell phone extender, which allows us to watch Netflix, make cellular phone calls and take Zoom/video conference calls for work purposes with ease. 55” LG LED TV, Bose Bluetooth speaker, charging stations, etc are on site.

Miscellaneous:
• We have an incredible caretaker who cleans the home and manages anything associated with it, should you need anything during the stay, including snow removal and lawn care.
• We have individual a/c units for the main rooms and bedrooms for the summer months.
• The fireplace finicky and easily back drafts into the living room, which can easily fill with smoke, so we are not allowing it for use during the stay; we are rebuilding that in the spring. If you would like a fire, we have a SoloStove on the terrace that works perfectly for outdoor fires.
• We ask you to be mindful of water usage.

We have only recently started renting the space, since we will not be able to spend as much time there as we would like. The main living area is open and inviting. The living room seating is centered around an original river stone fireplace. There is a new Samsung Serif smart TV as well as a sound system to connect to through your phone. The long wooden dining table seats 6 quite comfortably.

The kitchen is equipped with a Viking gas stovetop and electric Dacor oven. The pantry is stocked with herbs, spices, baking basics, and appliances galore - with everything from blender to stand mixer to food processor. There is counter top dining for two and everything you need to rustle up a delicious dinner. Additionally, there is a charming breakfast nook with seating for two where you can enjoy your coffee and croissants.

The downstairs bathroom has lovely bluestone floors and a vintage cast iron roll-top tub. Full laundry facilities are behind the yellow gingham curtain.

Upstairs are 3 cozy bedrooms and a bathroom. The primary bedroom with a queen bed faces the creek. Listen to the hush of the falls as you fall asleep with the windows open. The second bedroom has a full size bed and the third is a sleeping nook with a twin bed and views of the surrounding woods.

There’s a dedicated work from home setting on the landing with a long desk and high speed wifi.

Downstairs, there are two porches on opposite sides of the house. The charming little screened porch at the front of the house gets lovely afternoon light - perfect for relaxing with a book and a cup of tea. The covered back deck faces the creek and is an absolutely magical setting for summer dinners. There is a Weber gas grill and the dining area comfortably seats six. Enjoy the woodland views by the creek on the Adirondack chairs or hang by the fire pit and immerse yourselves in the birdsong and tranquillity.

*please note we have a window unit air conditioner downstairs. The unit in the living room does a good job of cooling the downstairs. We have a mini split AC unit in the ceiling of the landing that cools the second floor. However, one of the greatest pleasures of your stay will surely be falling asleep with the windows open and waking to the hush of the falls and birds singing.

The village of Chatham, NY is 10 minutes down the road and has a wonderful book shop, knitting shop, cheese shop, liquor store, local brewery and more. With restaurants like the People’s Pub and Bimi’s Canteen and Bar you may never leave Chatham. For the the best croissant and baguette outside of Paris, Bartlett House in Ghent is only 10 minutes away - don’t leave without a donut!

We are located 25 minutes from the fab towns of Hudson, NY and Great Barrington, MA both of which have wonderful main streets for strolling, shopping, and dining.

The Berkshire arts scene comes alive in the summer with Tanglewood, Jacob’s Pillow, Williamstown Theater Festival, MassMoca, the Clark Museum.

For book lovers there is Rodger’s Book Barn in Hillsdale, NY (an experience not to be missed), Spotty Dog Books & Ale in Hudson, and Familiar Trees in Great Barrington.

Oh, you like to hike? For an easy jaunt take the pond loop at Schor Conservation Area 2 miles up the road. For a slightly grander hike, head to Ooms Conservation Area. This little jewel of Columbia County, is a 10 minute drive from the cottage. High Falls, Bash Bish Falls… the list goes on.

Please note the house is not suitable for children under 2 and it is not handicap accessible. There are no ramps, no accessible bathrooms, narrow doorways, and a stairwell that leads to the bedrooms on the second floor.

" - "There wasn't any explanation to what seemed an odd format or how to use it. There seemed to be a common room with a kitchen but there wasn't information as to if we could use it, yet to get to our suite we needed to walk through it. Our suite had an efficiency kitchen, which made us even more uneasy to visit the common room, as that looked as though it somebody else's since there were some decorations half up, and other things seemed semi-occupied. Our guess was that maybe the owners or managers lived upstairs and this was their living room and kitchen, but really had no idea. Our suite was nice, but again odd. The bathroom was next to the kitchen and as far from the bedroom as possible, with a living room in between. The closet as well was a joined the kitchen and bathroom far away from the bedroom. Over all it was good stay just very quirky. "

The apartment is located on the second floor, utilizing the entire 900 square feet. Beautiful sunsets and Catskill views (seasonal). We have some trails and a stream on the farm but we are also conveniently located in the Taconics and also within 20 minutes from the Berkshires and 25 minutes of the Catskills for fun day trips.

We have a small farm store where you can access our organically raised meat and eggs. We offer in season vegetables from our kitchen garden as well.

Sleeping up to 4 in two double rooms and a spacious kitchen/dining/sitting room heated by a wood stove, and with up to date modern fittings, this comfortable second floor apartment is a perfect location for a countryside break. We stayed for ten days, and would happily return. If arriving late bring your own provisions, although the nearby organic farm store in Hawthorne Valley can provide all you need for healthy living, and fresh laid eggs are available daily. Great restaurants, music, scenery, golf, tennis courts, museums and shopping are all available in the area.
