A 25-minute drive from Fort William, Glencoe House offers accommodations in 10 acres of private gardens. There is free WiFi throughout the buildings, and free private parking on site. The 8 Glencoe House suites are located in the mansion house where you occupy your own wing of the historic building and enjoy panoramic loch and mountain vistas. One or two-bedroom suites are available, all boasting bathrooms with The Highland Soap Company products and a sitting room with period features. Generally our check in day is a Saturday, however if you require a different check day, get in touch and we will do out best to help! In the kitchen you will find everything you would want in a modern kitchen, including a full size integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher and cooker. There is also a microwave. At the end of the kitchen area there is a cozy dining area for you to enjoy your meals together.

In the lounge you will find 2 large 2 seater sofas and an arm chair. The lounge also features a stunning handmade bespoke Ash wood river coffee table. For those wintery nights, you can light the wood burning stove, and snuggle up! There is a flat screen TV with free sat and DVD player (with a selection of DVD's).

There is 4G on most networks locally, but just in case, we have included free wifi throughout the house.

On your door step you will find some of Scotland’s most amazing hill walks, suitable for every ambition and ability. Within walking distance of the cottage is the local shop, providing for all your needs, and a choice of great pubs and coffee shops are also within easy walking distance. The fantastic Glencoe Cafe is almost right next door - a 10 second walk will provide you with everything you need! A little further (about 2 miles away) is the village of Ballachulish, where you will find more shops, restaurants and pubs.

Ideal for the outdoor lover, there is an abundance of walks and outdoor activities to choose from (local information provided in cottage), and when you get home from either an exhausting or chilled day out, you can relax by the cozy fire in perfect peace!

If you are lucky enough to visit when we are blessed with beautiful weather, you can soak up the sun, with your morning coffee, in a secluded garden area, surrounded by flowers and overlooked by the hills.

In line with our terms and conditions we welcome a maximum of 2 pets, they are charged at £20 per pet per stay.

We operate a fair usage policy for electricity and include £90 worth of usage per week (or a proportion of that amount for shorter stays). A meter reading is taken before each stay and at the end (pictures taken of readings). If you have used a lot more than is, we will contact you with any additional charges within 48 hrs of your departure.

With views towards Loch Leven and the magnificent ’Pap of Glencoe’, the area is renowned for its breathtaking scenery, which has been used as the backdrop for many famous films including Harry Potter, Rob Roy and Braveheart.

From Fort William (known as the ’Outdoor Capital of the UK’) you can travel on the Jacobite steam train across the famous Glenfinnan Viaduct, or drive along the ’Road to the Isles’ and sail to the beautiful Isle of Skye. Crossing on the nearby Corran Ferry will allow you to explore the Ardnamurchan Peninsula with its rocky coastline and white sandy beaches. The small bustling town of Oban (’Gateway to the Isles’) has regular ferries from the harbour to the Inner Isles, including Mull, Staffa and Iona.

Glencoe and Fort William both have ski resorts and are also very popular areas for climbers and walkers. Discover cycling, kayaking, golf, snow boarding, bird watching, fishing or indoor climbing all within easy reach, and for the less energetic there are plenty of gentle forest walks, museums, distilleries, castles, gardens and monuments to visit. The small villages of Glencoe and Ballachulish are a short walk from the cottage and both have a shop, café, bar and restaurant. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant 400 yards.

We had no view of the Loch. Our view was a small back garden as the annex is built on the back of a garage. The accommodation is compact to say the least. The expected bedroom was in fact a mezzanine above the kitchen and bathroom. On a positive note, the accommodation was well equipped, clean, warm with fluffy towels and beautiful bedding."
