- "A wonderful location for exploring the Highlands. The village of Newtonmore has so much to offer by way of walks, exploring, pastimes such as golf and kayaking, etc. We ran out of time to do everything we wanted. The house was very comfortable and spacious, just right for our age range of 1 - 67. We had brilliant weather for our week so the only thing lacking was garden furniture for sitting out of an afternoon/evening. Jean the house manager was extremely attentive, ensuring our stay was as good as possible. We are definitely thinking of returning another year."

The property was extremely clean with all mod cons and the quality of fittings and fixtures were superb. It felt like someone's well loved home with no expense spared.Tasteful, cosy and characterful.Would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.Very high end quality property. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo" - "I would like to say that my overall stay at this property was superb. The property is in a fantastic area and with local amenities all found within a 5-10 minute walk. The property itself is of an exceptional standard and more than ample amounts of room and the grounds surrounding the property being more than sufficient with plenty of parking for 2-4 vehicles. The bedrooms and furniture were of good comfort and each bedroom being very large. The views from the study on the first floor of the golf course and the mountains were fantastic. The kitchen and dining areas wee more than large enough to accommodate my family of 6 and was well equipped. The furniture in the house provided the property with a rustic feel that taken us away from norm and allowed us to completely switch off from our normal life and enjoy our holiday. Me and family are looking to book the same property next year as the property is situated near plenty of walk and mountain bike trails and so if any family wants long walks or are keen cyclist then trails are plentiful. I spoken with the owners and staff for the property and they were both welcoming and accommodating regarding our stay and were very helpful. The property was spotless and the owners had been keen to adhere to all covid 19 regulations and ensured thing were in place to ensure our stay was safe. Stable cottage is a small cottage based in the beautiful Cairngorms National Park. It is one of three adjacent cottages which share the garden and washing/drying room.
We offer a combined fully equipped living, kitchen and dining room which also contains two single pull out beds. There is a huge wet room with accessible toilet and shower.
The whole cottage is wheelchair accessible, is freshly painted and decorated with original paintings, and contains all you need for a comfortable stay.
The main thing our guests comment on is the setting at the foothills of the Monadhliath mountains with views over the Cairngorms. We are located above the village so these can be enjoyed in peace and quiet. In the foreground are sheep and lambs, as we are in a crofting area, together with lapwings, curlews, oyster catchers and hares. But also our guests also find the cottages well equipped, warm and comfortable. The majority of our guests come to walk or bike, which can be done from the door. The Newtonmore wildcat trail is only 200m from the house. And there is an unlimited number of local walks and rides.
- "Ann and Ian were great, it’s nice to find dog friendly accommodation, where the owners actually understand active dogs! We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was clean, tidy and cosy, also very well equipped. The cottage is perfectly located to enjoy the surroundings; with amazing trails right from the door step. Good value for money accommodation in a fantastic location, what’s not to like!!!" - "Well equipped and comfortable. Very good location to explore the Cairngorms."

- "Stunning scenery with plenty of walking opportunities. Also close to Highland Folk Museum and wildlife Park. Less crowded than Aviemore. Easy parking with large co-op at bottom of the hill. Owners were friendly and helpful." - "We stayed in the cottage, one of three Croft Holiday cottages on the site, for three days. The views from the cottage, of the Cairngorm Mountains, are spectacular. The accommodation was cosy, and well-equipped. The location is sufficiently remote from the main township to be quiet and peaceful, with mountain trails on the doorstep, but is still within walking distance of shops and amenities. Cairngorm Alpaca Trekking are in the adjacent fields - well worth a visit. We cannot recommend the cottages highly enough, and would return in a heartbeat."

We loved having lots of room and the house is divided up nicely. We felt it was ideal for being together post pandemic when none of us were so used to being with other people. The house is big and there is room for everyone around the table. The kitchen was spacious and had what we needed for big meals (we brought things from home for some special meals like champagne flutes). The area has so much to explore we barely scratched the surface. We wanted to stay longer to be honest!"

This beautifully finished, detached, Highland lodge is situated almost exactly in the central point of Scotland; a monument marking the point is just a short walk down the lane. The Den is perfectly located to explore the Cairngorms National Park, but because it is so central in the Highlands and the country, there are also amazing sights to see within a short drive. Ben Nevis lies to the west, whilst Inverness and the Black Isle are to the east.
The Den is set in a lovely, quiet site with space all around and views of the Cairngorms. It is less than ¾ mile from the A9, and is very conveniently located for a short break to explore this amazing part of Scotland, maybe as part of a larger tour. Arriving at The Den, you will be immediately pleased with its location and how it has been finished. Its spacious, open plan layout has been decorated beautifully, and has an enormous amount of light flooding in. A patio door leads out onto the large decking area, which has an excellent aspect of the mountains. It is the perfect spot to sit in with a glass of wine in the evening. The site has a lot of shared space to explore with children, including a large play area. It is also a great site for dogs because there are many walks to explore right from the doorstep. If you have your own horse, stabling is available by direct arrangement with the owner, who lives on the adjacent farm. The village of Newtonmore is only a few miles away with pubs and restaurants, as well as a supermarket. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
The Den can be booked together with Cruachan (UK13683) to accommodate up to 10 guests.

The children's play area, sitting-out area and stabling is shared with other properties on site.
The water is from a spring, well or borehole, and not a mains supply.
Only dogs allowed at the property.

- "Beautiful cottage Very responsive owners to a couple of small issues Only gripe was the builders turning up at 8am each day ( however they didn’t disturb us it just made it harder to walk around half naked! :)) just would have preferred to have been pre warned. Overall a fantastic stay. We went to be close to our daughter who was staying at the Activity centre in the village, completing her Duke of Edinburgh award. We has lots of lovely dog walks in the beautiful hills, and forests Not a place for loads of places to eat out but we saved money by eating in anyway. We would definitely return and would love to stay in The new lodge next door too. Thank you"
