We stayed at Rivard lodge and it was a 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom super comfortable luxurious lodging with full kitchen. It also has a large sitout deck on the upper floor with comfortable outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Every bedroom has a small TV and the two living rooms have full sized TVs. The backyard is fenced and so safe to let your pet out without worry. Mains at Taymouth also has a golf course which we could not use unfortunately as it rained on the day we had planned to play. There is a very well stocked shop in the complex open all 7 days. There are 3 good restaurants : Courtyard which is in the complex itself, Waterfront (with excellent Loch views) across the road in Kenmore Club Hotel, and Ferryman’s Inn which is just 5 minutes drive away. We loved the latter two more because they are next to the Loch. Aberfeldy is just 6 miles away and has more eating options and also fuel station and larger stores like Co-op and ASDA. All in all, a lovely stay and we look forward to visiting again. "

With a magnificent location on the banks of Loch Tay, close to the picturesque village of Kenmore, these charming and well-appointed cottages offer luxurious self-catering accommodations. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. The Kenmore Club was originally the walled garden for the nearby Taymouth Castle, home of the Marquis of Breadalbane. Today, this small, exclusive resort consists of a series of cottages, constructed in the same unique style as the nearby village of Kenmore. The resort includes a swimming pool, a tennis court and a children's playground, as well as a restaurant. Each cottage has a large lounge, with comfortable chairs, a TV and a large put-up bed. Every cottage also has a dining area and well-equipped kitchen, with a coffee maker, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and oven. Some cottages have a washing machine and drying area. Just across the way, you will find Scotland's oldest inn, with a chimney breast inscribed by the hand of Robbie Burns himself.

It had everything you need to be a home from home, including; tea-towels, dish soap, toilet paper, bin liners and dish washer tabs. As other reviewers have commented communication in advance was good, though a bit intimidated with the number of potential fines that could be applied - it's OTT! In practise the staff are helpful and friendly. We only saw them if we needed them. There were lots of visiting dogs, what would be really good is some sort of fenced area to let dogs off for a run and to relieve themselves. There's sparse area within the complex for a quick walkies. Often queues at the Ferryman with very slow service but we did enjoy tasty pizza and chips one night. Great views and a nice relaxing summer vibe. Currently a limited menu available for summer 2021. Can not comment on the Hot Box, this was an additional fee to guests. It would be so nice if this was complementary but understandable limits due to the pandemic. We used the watersports - pretty relaxed i.e. no instructions etc but easy to find and all equipment of good quality. Overall, would recommend for a great staycation!"

In a wonderful location at the eastern end of Loch Tay, with stunning views of the loch and the surrounding mountains and countryside, Kenmore Lodge is perfect for friends and family to spend time together and discover this beautiful part of Highland Perthshire. Enjoy a stroll into the conservation village of Kenmore where there are lots of thing to do; relax on the beach or take part in the various water sports which are available at the loch side. Visit Kenmore Hotel, Scotland’s oldest inn, where the famous poet Robert Burns wrote a poem on the wall which can still be seen today. There is a super selection of places to eat, two golf courses and riverside walks through the grounds of Taymouth Castle. The village hosts regular events and each January there is a ceremony to mark the opening of the salmon fishing season, as the Tay is one of the finest angling rivers.
Just 6 miles along the road is Aberfeldy with a great selection of local shops, galleries, eating places, a cinema, a whisky distillery and an award-winning book shop. You can enjoy a Highland safari exploring the mountains, spot local wildlife including deer and visit historic castles and gardens. For the adventurous, there are ample opportunities to walk and climb in the great outdoors, with the 7 Munros circuit within 10 miles, including Ben Lawers (Perthshire’s highest mountain) and Schiehallion. There are many mountain biking trails through the forest, and white water rafting, bungee jumping and horse riding are all available.
However you decide to spend your time at Kenmore Lodge, upon your return you will find everything you need in this semi-detached self-catering holiday home. On entering the property on the first floor, there is a spacious open plan living area which boasts a charming wood burner, ideal for curling up with a book for a lazy afternoon on cooler days. The dining table is large enough for all to sit around and plan the next day’s activities, and the kitchen area is furnished with quality contemporary appliances. Patio doors lead to a terrace at the back of the lodge where you can enjoy breakfast al fresco in the morning sun. At the front of the lodge, another set of patio doors lead to the balcony which boasts beautiful views of the loch. On the ground floor there is a large utility room with a washer/dryer, ideal for coats and boots after walking, a family bathroom, an en-suite master bedroom with patio doors leading to the garden and two further double bedrooms. Our cottage has 2 BEDROOMS with 1 Double bed in the master bedroom and either 1 Double bed or 2 Single beds in the other bedroom. This is a spacious and welcoming, semi-detached holiday home has been furnished to a good standard. Guests enter the cottage on the first floor to a super, open plan living space with large comfortable sofas, a wood burner, Smart, curved TV, dining area and kitchen with excellent quality appliances, just perfect for a family celebration. There are two sets of patio doors, one leading to the garden area at the back of the cottage and another to a balcony at the front with great views down to Loch Tay, giving guests ample outdoor space for a summer barbeque, as well as a garden and patio on the ground floor. Just a few minutes’ walk into the picturesque conservation village of Kenmore and Loch Tay which has the oldest inn in Scotland, local post office, shop and several good places to eat. There are water sports on the loch where you can enjoy a cruise in season or visit the Croft-na-Caber Watersports and Activity Centre, a reconstruction of an Iron Age stilt dwelling built over the water. There is also two golf courses, horse riding and riverside walks in the grounds of Taymouth Castle.
Surrounded by hills, mountains and rivers you couldn’t be in a better place to enjoy the great outdoors whether climbing mountains or a gentle woodland walk. There are mountain biking trails through the forest, white water rafting and canoeing on the River Tay. For days out, Aberfeldy is only 6 miles away with local shops, gallery, award-winning book shop, local cinema, coffee shops, places to eat and pubs and the Dewars Whisky Distillery which offers tours and tasting. Close by, a Highland Safari takes you into the mountains to explore the landscape and see the wildlife. For those interested in history, there are many places of interest to visit within driving distance. Fortingall village with its ancient tree, Blair Castle has beautiful walks in the extended grounds, Dunkeld Cathedral and open gardens. Opon entering there is a large hallway providing storage for footwear and coats and an upstairs toilet. with a wood burner for those cosy nights in. The upper level consists of a spacious open plan kitchen, dining and living space with a wood burner for those cosy nights in as well as a balcony boasting stunning views of Loch Tay, and plenty windows to let that natural light in. Taymore is designed with upside down layout, for you to get the most of what it has to offer.
Down stairs are three king sized bed rooms with 100% cotton bedding and towels, suitable for sleeping up to six adults. The bedrooms are linked by a corridor and access to the back garden. The master bedroom features an en-suite with shower and patio doors for direct access to large garden to the rear inclusive of an outdoor cooking pit.
The other two bedrooms share a washroom with a standalone shower, and bathtub. One of the rooms can be converted to a twin room upon request during booking. There are four extra foldable beds ideal for extra sleeping for children as well as a cot for babies, these are only available upon request, during booking.
It is beautifully decorated and equipped to the highest standard. Tea, coffee and fresh milk are included; as are Scottish fine soaps toiletries, fresh soft cotton linen and towels.

Mains Park Court was fitted with a new Callum Walker kitchen in 2018 and in 2019 we have refurbished all en suite bathrooms.
