We would definitely stay here again. " - "Very convenient to the venue and a really nice setting. Enjoyed it very much." - "Everything was clean and the place was everything we needed that made it a better selection than a hotel. The only constructive criticism I would offer is to let the potential guests know there are two separate rented areas onsite. It didn’t bother us that other people were there, but I’m sure there are guests who wouldn’t approve of the surprise."

We look forward to your booking and making your stay enjoyable!
**Snow Removal / Winter Note**: Please note that we make every effort to keep the driveway plowed and the sidewalk cleared for our guests~ for your safety and because we live here too! We recently had two guests who complained that the sidewalk and driveway were not freshly cleared...both in the middle of a snowstorm. This I simply will not tolerate. If we are delayed in clearing, its because we are waiting for the snowstorm to pass or because we are taking care of our busy family inside~ not because we are neglecting you! Your grace, patience, and understanding are welcomed during the winter months as we tend to get A LOT of snow and do our best to keep up!

- "Everything about our stay and the property was amazing" - "Wow! That was my husband's response when we drove in for our son's wedding weekend in the area...it was more beautiful than the photos and had everything we could've wanted. We were talking about booking a return vacation before we even looked at everything, and everyone wants to go back on a regular basis. Our only regret was we didn't book more days this time. You will love being surrounded by beautiful trees on your scenic drive up the 1/2 mile driveway. When you reach the end of the road, you have arrived. The property is on a small private lake where you can enjoy fishing off the dock, lounging in the hammocks or boathouse, paddling around the island on a paddle board, kayak, canoe or enjoy a bonfire any time of the day. There are many 4-wheeler and snowmobile trails nearby if you choose to bring them along.
The winter months are great for ice fishing (bass and Northern Pike), snowmobiling, X-C Skiing, snowshoeing or biking on your Fat Bike. Groomed X-C ski trails near the loft are 10 minutes away. Spirit Mountain is a 30 minute drive for winter skiing, snowboarding and biking trails. Duluth has many beautiful mountain bike trails for all levels and have gorgeous scenery year round.
You will most certainly see loons, geese, deer, beavers, wild turkeys, sandhill cranes, Trumpeter Swans and eagles that surround the property. The loft above the garage is an inviting private Nordic hideaway with a cozy canopy bed, French press with provided coffee and the lake, sauna and boathouse are just a minutes walk.
The owners live on the property and may or may not be present during your stay, but will always respect your space.
The historic boathouse is a common space for guests to enjoy and it's located on the shore of our lake. Perfect for reading, getting out of the sun, having coffee, drinks or dining. It is not exclusive to the rental of the loft as the owners of the property may also be present and the geodesic dome in the woods is an additional rental in the summer months. The boathouse is open from May - October (although this depends on the weather). There is absolutely no overnight sleeping in the boathouse.
The property is 23 miles from Canal Park in Duluth, just under 30 minutes

The boathouse has running water, a refrigerator, stove and coffee making supplies. (Boathouse is only open in the summer months from May-October). The 94 acre lake is yours to explore with paddle boards, kayaks and a canoe if you choose. Or, just relax on the dock or sauna in either the wood fired sauna built with the wood from the property or the electric sauna in the lower boathouse.

- "Peaceful" - "My wife and I had an absolutely incredible time during our stay at the Geodesic Dome! As nature lovers who value privacy, we found the secluded spot in the woods to be perfect. The setting allowed us to enjoy some beautiful bonfires and make great use of the outdoor grill, which added to the experience. Although we ran out of time to visit the sauna or boathouse, if they’re anything like the dome and as shown in the pictures, I’m sure they’re just as beautiful and well-maintained. The property manager was extremely nice and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful and unique getaway!"
