Big Sandy Lake is an amazing size lake at just over 6,500 acres. It's big enough to water ski, tube, jet-ski, boat, etc. but is typically uncrowded, quiet, clean, sandy and loaded with fish. It also has a sandbar for recreation during hot summer days, as well as 5 restaurants and bars that are accessible by boat. The neighborhood too is quiet and good for walking, biking, etc. The yard is equipped with a fire-pit, outdoor dining setup on the upper deck, and more and is big enough for most yard games.

This cabin is excellent for a family-fun filled getaway anytime of year!

- "We came up from Chicago and the drive was totally worth it to unwind for the week. The property was perfect and so quiet. Our lab absolutely loved running around and enjoying all the sniffs and sticks he could find. We enjoyed the bonfire one night. We took the boat our multiple times and the atv’s were awesome. Definetly let Chris take you out for a tour of the area. The next time we went the map on our cell phone helped us not get lost. The bonus of a washer and dryer was helpful after our atv rides and Chris leaves you detergent which is a plus. Chris checked in with us each day and gave us options of what to do in the area and made sure we had everything we needed. He left us eggs , bacon and other supplies to make s’mores ! My husband made ribs on a smoker that was there and they were great. Overall we loved our trip and will definetly be back in the future. There is a grocery store about 10 minutes away although we did bring a cooler of some meats we had at home. If you want to relax and chill and zone out and be comfortable this is the place to be. There is cell service along with wifi. Chris thank you for being so accommodating and letting us have an amazing vacation. Hawk is still sleeping it off!"

Our log home was built in 2006 with 6 bedrooms and 6 baths. It is located approximately 2.5 hours from the Twin Cities on Big Sandy Lake, which is just north of McGregor, MN. The cabin is near Duluth and Brainerd. This property is ideal for all seasons and activities from water activities in the summer to enjoying the changing colors of the leaves in the fall.

This property is situated on the north shore of Big Sandy Lake with a gradual slope from the cabin down to the lake (allowing for an incredible view!) It has 285 feet of private lake shore & 2 sandy beach areas. The lake is 6000+ acres with lots of shoreline, many interesting islands & bays to explore.

The 6000 square foot - 3 level home features 6 bedrooms ( of which 2 are family suites), 6 bathrooms , 1.5 kitchens, a large dining room, great room, loft, screened 3 season porch, family room, game room with pool, ping pong & poker tables. The home has beds for 14, and has slept many more by utilizing the sofa sleeper, futon, 2 twin inflatable beds & the 2 twin high density foam mattresses. The bedroom arrangements include 1 King bedroom with a twin bed, 2 Queen suites with two side by side twin beds in the adjoining room, and an additional Queen bedroom with a twin bed.

The indoor living spaces are spectacular; with huge windows, vaulted cedar ceilings, log walls, and 2 wood-burning fireplaces. The craftsmanship & attention to detail are first class. The layout allows you to have your own space, and there are many wonderful common areas in which to gather.

The outdoor spaces are fantastic. The 1.5 acre lot has a beautiful double row of pines trees for added privacy on all sides except the lake side. There are many mighty oaks, paper birch, & maple trees that frame our lake home. The landscape has a good balance of being left natural as well as having green grass cleared areas.

The roomy deck and the screen porch are excellent choices to enjoy a great view of the lake. The back porch is a good location to enjoy the beauty of the woods. In the evening you might decide to utilize the fire pit down by the water. There is space at the dock for you to bring your own boat. There are public launches in the area. We have a fishing boat (no motor), 2 kayaks & a canoe that are provided at no charge for your enjoyment. The grounds are well cared for and provide the perfect opportunity for yard games and for children to roam and play.

There is a nearby Minnesota National Golf Course and Savanna Portage State Park.
The golf course is an 18 hole championship course that has five tee boxes for any skill level.

There are restaurants & bars that you can boat or drive to near and on the lake.

Boasting with 20 species of fish, so there is something for every angler! Being over 6,520acres and 59 miles of shoreline makes it an amazing reactional lake. You can travel by boat to thee many restaurants on the lake. Many of them have live music in the summer. Our dock has plenty of room for your boat. Or just relax on your own beach with plenty of outdoor seating, firepit and a hammock! In the winter enjoy ice fishing, snowmobiling or just snuggling up in a warm house with a view!
In case of a rainy day, the house has a 50" TV and plenty of games/puzzles to keep you entertained. If you enjoy shopping, check out McGregor or Aitkin for some cute shops as well as good eats. House has a ring doorbell and outside security cameras as well as security lights for your safety.

Sunrise and sunsets were fun to watch. A four wheel drive vehicle may not be required but I was definitely happy to have a truck because the final 1.5 miles entering the property are plowed but very snow packed with some hills. We had trouble with the door code upon arrival but Megan was very helpful and responsive with that and it was our only issue of the weekend. Will definitely consider this place again for a future vacation."

Welcome to our beautiful 3 bedroom loft lake home. Easy living at our cabin. Our open floor plan offers great space to relax in. The master suite on the main floor, plus two bedrooms upstairs and a loft offer plenty of sleeping space. Cable TV, DVD Player and Playstation 2 plus internet offers all the technology you may need. We have board games, puzzles and cards for the occasional rainy day as well. The main floor boasts a 4 season lounge area, great for playing cards while keeping an eye on the lake. The family room has a gorgous stone gas fireplace for those cool nights. Full laundry allows you to never have damp towels. On the main floor we also have a beautiful half bathroom. Round Lake is one of Minnesota's clearest, spring fed lakes. It is just over 500 acres so a great recreational lake. One third of the lake is state land so it is a quiet lake with just one public access.

The beautiful cabin was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities that we needed. We had plenty of room for all 7 of our adults. Plus there was room for more if need be. Private, spacious, Big Sandy Lake retreat. Located on the “Gold Coast” of Big Sandy Lake, this cabin is the perfect getaway for friends and family. This chalet style cabin encompasses 3+ bedrooms, 2 baths, loft facing the lake, a sauna, 2 large and open living spaces, floor to ceiling windows and a very well appointed kitchen. There is plenty of space for 10 people to gather or find some privacy when needed. The cabin has over 100 feet of sandy beach shoreline, docks and a swim platform. There is a pontoon boat that is an optional rental as well; bring it up when booking if interested. Several fire pits on the property and all the wood you need for hanging by the fire making s’mores with the loved ones. Towering pines adorn the property with the rear of the cabin bringing in the resident eagles. Your likely to catch a glimpse of them while enjoying coffee on the wrap-around deck facing the lake.

Only 2-2.5 hours from the Twin Cities makes getting here a snap. There are several restaurants directly on Big Sandy, which you can boat to, and several other land-locked restaurants nearby. Groceries, gas, coffee shop, bakery, ice cream and the occasional “hardware” needs are within a few minutes drive.

Hiking, fishing (great Walleye and Northern lake – you can catch them right off the dock), ATV and Trail riding (bring your own), and all the water sports you can imagine; swimming, splashing, floating, kayaking, etc. When, and if your crew tires of water fun, we also have provided an assortment of lawn games, Corn Hole, Spike Ball, Ladder Ball, frisbees, etc. And, if the weather turns sour, we’ve got you covered with High-speed internet, a cozy indoor wood burning fireplace (with all the wood you need), in-floor radiant heat on the lower walk-out level, and ALL THE STREAMING services with a 70 inch tv and surround sound, a sweet little Sauna (again), and an assortment of board games and puzzles. Lastly, for golfers, Minnesota National Golf is just around the corner (10 min drive) and is an outstanding course bring all that Upper MN Golf has to offer.

Patio14, a recently built rental home located on the 14th hole of Minnesota National's Championship Course, is a 3300 sq. foot, fully loaded home that has everything you need for a relaxing weekend with family and friends. HOT TUB:
The hot tub is available as an amenity and at times may not be available due to maintenance. It is very important to note that a fee up to $500 will be imposed for abuse of the hot tub. Further details will be provided at booking.

NOISE:
To preserve the serenity of surrounding area we request no outdoor speakers be used. Although neighbors are not visible, sound multiplies and travels on water. Please be mindful of the surrounding area and consider bringing the volume indoors.

PET POLICY:
- If bringing pets, please add it to your booking request!
- There is a $200 pet fee per stay
- Maximum of 2 dogs
- All pet waste from yard must be cleaned up by owner
- Pets are not allowed on furniture such as beds, sofas or tables. Please make sure pets are cleaned, paws are cleaned before entering the house.
- Owner is responsible for any damages at the cost of replacement or repair due to an animal.
- Food bowls not provided
- Do not allow pets to trespass onto neighboring lots.
- Pets must be supervised at all times
- Guests are not allowed to invite additional day time guests with pets without prior approval. A $200 pet fee applies for day time guests pets.
** A $500 fee will be charged to guests that fail to disclose any pets in addition to eviction without refunds. If guests are suspected of bringing pets without prior disclosure, cameras will be accessed and if found to be in violation, guests will be reported. Penalties include fines, suspension and or removal from the community.

BUG ALERT:
Please be aware, the cabin is situated near lake and farmland which in cooler months tend to attract rodents and bugs such as lady bug beetles and cluster flies as they seek shelter for hibernation. Cracks in windows and doors are sealed for prevention, rodent control is in place and the exterior sprayed. Although we have measures in place to prevent them, there's still a chance of encountering them. During uncommonly warm winter days, the ladybugs can gather in large numbers on the exterior of cabin. In the summer months, mosquito control treatments are applied to the outdoor area and while the cabin has screens to deter them, it can be an ongoing challenge.

INDOORS:
- Both refrigerators have filtered well water and ice, which were both tested at accredited labs to ensure safe drinking. However it wouldn't be a bad idea to bring additional drinking water for preference.
- 1 mini split head at 32k BTU located in main level used for cooling main and loft levels. Window ACs are available in main floor bedrooms in warmer seasons and removed in fall. No additional cooling at the moment in lower level however lower level remains relatively comfortable.
- We provide a few essentials to make you feel more at home when you arrive like paper towels, some dishwasher soap, detergent, trash bags in all trash cans, some toilet paper, and hand soap. Please note, that these items are not replenished during your stay. When you run out, you’ll need to purchase what you need.
- The 2 fireplaces are turned off and not available for use.

OUTDOORS:
- Bring firewood or feel free to collect brush around the property for fire.
- Grilling: Guests are free to use the grate atop the bon fire area for outdoor grilling and/or the charcoal grill on site. Bring charcoal!
- Live bait along with other necessities can be purchased at the nearest grocery store, Farmers coop in Wright. It's about a 10 min drive but take note of store hours. Sundays they're closed at 3pm.
- Parking spot for 5 on private grounds. Please park in front of the garage stalls to allow propane truck access to the tank behind the garage. Propane is automatically delivered when we run low. Please note, delivery can occur during your stay.
- Please keep vehicles off grass

Our space is quiet, flat location with an easy slope to the lake! Beauty is found every morning and evening with the Sun's movement.

Inside the home, you will find a bathroom with a walk-in shower! Walk up to the second level, and you enter the kitchen. This level is a loft with two bedrooms that are partitioned for privacy. The partitions are easily pulled back to open the space!

Our property is designated by the tree lines. Please do not invade our neighbors' properties.

Other things to note:

Please do NOT park vehicles in the garage stalls.

Please do not move the grill

Please leash and pick up after your dogs. Our neighbors do have dogs.

- "We had a wonderful time at The Point and would recommend it to anyone looking for a lake getaway. The house was clean and organized - with a bonus gifts from the host (cinnamon bread, homemade jam and more!). A larger yard with great access to the water, we walked down and fished in the mornings and evenings, paddle-boarded around the lake and had a fire pit in the evenings. Take note of the bedroom descriptions, it is one room with a curtain and open ceiling, so privacy is limited. Our family of 4 (plus two large dogs) would stay here again!"

Located right off of Mn-65, right of Big Sandy Lake with easy access to the lake, bars, restaurants, hiking trails, state parks, atv trails, and family fun. We have a private dock and boats for usage.

- "It is an old cabin/house that is a bit run down. Our biggest issue was the super intense musty smell. We were also disappointed with the quality of the bedding and towels (which only 2 were left for our group of 4). It's a really steep price tag for a property like this and I would never use the word serene to describe it. The owners were easy to work with, but we were glad we only had to be there to sleep. The fridge was also dirty and the owners left some of their stuff in there which added to our feeling that this is a property mostly used by the owners and rarely rented. Due to the smell, we would not stay there again."

From the comfort of the queen beds, convenience of the two bathrooms, the thoughtfulness of having electrical box down by the dock to charge the batteries, this place exceeded all my expectations. The kitchen was well stocked with two different coffee maker options, toaster, air fryer, gas grill and good cookware. The TV and wifi was a nice option after a long day on the lake to sit back and relax. When we finished our trip we immediately wanted to book for the following year."
