I also rent a Forester Fisher 18 foot pontoon for the length of your stay only but it is priced so you pay for 5 days and get 2 free. Prices vary so contact me for details. See pics. I am very reasonable on rates compared to local Marine rentals and monitor the prices regularly. (Please note that a Boat Operators license/safety certificate is required to rent a boat in MN as of July 1, 2025. See the MN DNR boating regulations page to obtain one.) In addition, I also want to insure that the renter of the pontoon in your group has had experience with a boat or pontoon before renting.

My place is a highly rated Norway pine lodge on a sand beach and crystal clear Little Bass Lake! Great fishing from the docks, diving dock or out on this deep lake (72 feet). Kayaks, canoe, paddleboat and paddleboard and water mat provided.

I have a Four season hand-scribed log home on Little Bass lake on a private 5.0 acre lot at end of dead end road. Only 1 distant neighbor. Interior finished with knotty pine ceiling and Australian Cyprus wood floors, and Tamarack paneling. Huge Lake superior stone real fireplace with firewood provided. Full kitchen including fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven and center island and all the utensils for cooking. Watch the stars and northern lights from the large deck facing the quiet bay at the South end of Little Bass Lake. There is good fishing right from docks. A-Frame vaulted ceilings with master BR and bath in loft. Main floor has 2 large bedrooms, full bathroom, kitchen and great room and has a 4 season porch that is great for family meals any time of year. The walkout basement is unfinished but there are laundry facilities and an elliptical for use by guests.

The campfire pit makes an excellent spot for conversation, singalongs and S'mores. Firewood provided.

A 150-acre 70 foot deep lake, Little Bass has an abundant fishery including northern pike, large mouth bass, good crappie fishing, and even the occasional walleye. You will want to fish for walleye early or late as its such a clear body of water:)

See the beach pics. Sand beach for building sand castles and sand bottom out to 5 feet. There is a diving dock platform to swim or kayak to.

There is also great cross country skiing, downhill skiing/tubing, hiking and bike trail system close by in the Chippewa National Forest. Just google Itasca county trails or Mount Itasca to find them

Broadband wireless internet and basic cable TV included with a smart tv for streaming. A public boat access on lake makes it convenient to launch your boat. Plenty of dock space for your boat on the docks at my property. I do have a pontoon but will only rent to people I have talked to and can be assured know how to operate it. I also have a high chair and a pack n play for infant guests!

PPS: Sustainable practices: In addition to recycling bins in the basement which are clearly labeled, you are coming to a Forest and I love trees. You will see that I have planted many white and red pines on the property and that I nurture them. And though I try to insure a view of the lake from the lodge, I have worked hard not to cut down any more trees that necessary in the building process. So I think of my lodge as my 'treehouse'. Trees as you know take carbon out of the atmosphere. And of course looking at their beauty in addition to the water and blue skies always makes me feel calm and at ease. There are views of the lake from lodge but it is also very forest like and private at the lodge. A short walk to the beach gives you the full beach and lake experience.

Deer Lake, also known as The Lake of Many Changing Colors, boasts 25 - 30 feet of clarity. Boat or kayak out to Bear Island and walk it’s nearly a one-mile walking trail through some of the largest Cedar trees in the area. 2 kayaks are available for your use. 4 islands out front of the property will ensure your morning kayak ride to be a peaceful one, crossing breathtaking views above, and below the waterline among the woods, weeds, and wildlife.

The property does not have a hard sand bottom but don’t let that stop you from taking a dip off the end of the dock and out to the raft, or to explore the lake in a kayak. There are also various floats available onsite in the shed along with various yard games. Set up a Bad Mitten net (or as my children called it: Good Gloves) or pull out the Bocce Ball set. There is also full-size Corn Hole boards as well as a great horseshoe pit in the yard by the lake.

Kick back and enjoy the sunrise and sunsets from up on the oversized deck, also, plenty of outside seating down by the large fire pit. Bring your own wood or purchase a large wheel burrow full for $30.

The home has an open floor plan with plenty of space in the kitchen (2 kitchens, one up and one downstairs) to allow plenty of help in preparing meals! The dining room table has 4 leaves with seating for 12 + the bar. Each kitchen is equipped with all amenities including microwave, toaster, coffee pot, dishes, silverware, pots, pans, Ninja blenders, and much more.

The living room upstairs has 2 reclining couches (seat 6) plus a single recliner for movie night in front of a 55” TV as well as a beautiful stone gas fireplace. The living room downstairs has 2 recliners, 1 couch, and 1 loveseat, as well as a 55” TV.
Plenty of sleeping space to close out your day of outdoor fun. Upstairs in the entryway is a trundle bed with two full-size twin mattresses. Bedroom #1 upstairs has a queen-size bed. Bedroom #2 sleeps 3 with one twin bed and a bunk bed. Bedroom #3, downstairs has a Queen bed. There is also a full-size bed downstairs in the oversized living room.

It is extremely helpful to have good contact information available for a member of your party in the event we need to contact you due to issue resolution etc. As the cell service at the Lodge is limited I will do my best to notify you ahead of time if we need to be on site for any reason but please understand that may not be possible. We will keep any disruptions to an absolute minimum.

Quiet, rural, dead-end gravel road with a couple other houses on the street.

The gravel road is a dead end road with a few neighbors within site. Plenty of parking is available anywhere in the horseshoe driveway. Please do not park on the road as a courtesy to our neighbors and take care to avoid entering any of the neighboring property. Please turn around in our driveway and do not turn around at the end of the road as that is the neighbors property who would like everyone to stay off.

The upstairs, main level includes a fully stocked kitchen, living room, 1 queen bedroom and a full bathroom. The basement includes 2 queen bedroom + bunk space, 1 office space, and a bathroom.

Plenty of parking available in the driveway. Driving required to get places.

We enjoy using Glade air fresheners in our home. If you would prefer to have these removed before your arrival please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Thank you!

This tiny home sits on 3+ acre island surrounded by the beautiful blue water. It is located near an occupied cabin but that said, this tiny home is situated to where you don’t see any of those structures from the front facing views of the house, so it feels very private and one with nature.

This modern tiny home has a loft which holds one queen bed and another with two twin beds. The loft is accessed by a normal rise and run staircase. You won't be able to stand in the lofts/bed areas as it is 4'6" (typical of a tiny home) but not really an issue since you really just sit in the beds up there, but important to note if you have any physical ailments.

The tiny home has its own private area, beach and ample free parking. Outside is romantic string-lit, equipped with 4 Adirondack chairs around a wood fire pit, propane BBQ grill, and patio set. Guests have access to their own private beach with 2 paddle boards and a tandem kayak during the summer months.

-Cell service may be weak here, but texting via Wi-Fi works very well, texting via SMS will come in and out as well as signal for calling.

- The house is very much immersed in nature. Nature has bugs and animals. You may see both. There may even be an ant or similar such bug in the house. I promise it won't hurt you.

- Our Insurance Carrier requires guests sign an agreement for release of liability and a $300 security deposit is required.

- "My partner and I enjoyed staying at this location! It was definitely a getaway that was much needed and Heather and Chad provided everything that was needed while we were there. The sounds of the river, being surrounded by nature, and looking at the beautiful stars at night, were definitely breathtaking! The only thing that we noticed was that on the porch where the sauna is located, a couple of boards were a bit loose and just need to have more support on them. The house is spacious, open with tons of electrical outlets, usb connections, several tvs and fans. Well cared for and attention paid to the details liked bath towels, bedding, pillows, mattresses, chairs, couch, etc. Everything was clean, comfortable and a lot of incidentals were provided….ie…q-tips, Kleenex,toilet paper, dishwasher soap, hand soap, laundry detergent, garbage bags and plenty of dishes/ utensils.Two kayaks as well as a paddle boat with 4 life vests were provided.The locals were very amicable. One neighbor even rented us his 16 foot fishing boat for a day as all the rental companies were booked. The town (Grand Rapids) has a Walmart, Target, lots of local restaurants, several grocery stores, multiple liquor stores, outdoor stores and a well stocked hardware store within a 10 minute drive.Multiple nearby bike trails provide excellent biking adventures.Overall the property is excellent, the people are friendly, the environment beautiful."

Welcome to our freshly remodeled cabin nestled into 40 beautiful acres of Aspen, Balsam, and Spruce forest. - "The tent cabin is really cute and was comfortable for a family of four. We used the sauna and also rented the boat for a couple of days. It is on the steep driveway, which isn’t a problem for us since our car is four-wheel-drive, but you will want to avoid driving to the bottom if you have a 2 Wheel Dr. car. Be aware that the lakefront is not swimmable because of high vegetation, but the lake itself is beautiful and great to take a boat on. Close to Grand Rapids and many other activities. "
