- "One thing about small towns, they know your family by the last name. China checked us in and right off when she saw my last name, she knew my family. She was so friendly. All the staff was very friendly. I love how the lobby smells so fresh and the room all have walk in showers now. They now have ice machines and soda machines, that work, on each floor and there is even a snack bar at the main desk in the lobby. So if you need a late night snack or realize you left your razors, they have a small store there now which I loved. "

Husband and I traveled separately so this presented a challenge. I had to contact them for access to unit instead of getting a code 48 hours in advance. Neighborhood was quiet. The patio extends to a big grassy, open yard, dotted with mature trees, in a rural environment.

The kitchen is equipped with a 2017 electric oven, microwave, 2023 dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster, coffee pot, tea kettle, dishes, and cookware. The Walmart Super Center is just five miles away. Couples can enjoy dinner and drinks at Carmella's Ristorante or another of Grenada's popular restaurants. For a more laid-back meal, pick up takeout at nearby Sunflower Cafe, Salad Etc High on the Hog, or Spencer’s.

This home is ideal for visitors to Grenada Lake or Hugh White State Park, golfers, couples, family reunions. Located on Main Street in Grenada, MS, the "Old Post Office" was built in 1914, and features many of the original details and architecture present at the time it was constructed. The mission of the new owners is to preserve the history and architecture of this magnificent building, while opening it up to allow others to also enjoy it's beauty.

PROPERTY DETAILS

As you enter the front double doors, you will be in a beautiful lobby area shared with the on-site bridal boutique. Upon entering the apartment, which encompasses a portion of the first floor and the entire upper floor of the building, you will be greeted by arched windows, a dining area, full kitchen, and living space complete with a flat screen TV with internet access to all of your favorite streaming apps. There is also twin pull out couch and half bath downstairs.

When you reach the top of the original hardwood stairs, you will find the 2nd living area with a mini-fridge and coffee bar so you can get your morning coffee fix without heading downstairs. This living area has a 4-seat pub table, couch seating for 5+, and a flat screen TV, DVD player, and many movie options to choose from.

The entire upstairs maintains the original character of the property with its hand painted, frosted glass doors, original hardwood floors, and original bathroom fixtures.

As you go down the main hall, you will notice the original "doghouse" windows lighting the space as well as two large closets. The first doorway you come to is the Master Bedroom, which has a king size bed, 4 large closets, and a sitting area.

The hall then leads you to the entrance of the beautiful full bathroom, which features classic subway tile and marble shower, rain-head, and water closet with original fixtures. In the bathroom, you will find everything you need for your stay, including hair dryer, toiletries, and extra pampering items.

The 2nd bedroom, located at the end of the hall, is sized generously, with 2 Double beds and a desk/office space.

There is no onsite laundry available, but a laundromat is located next door to the property.

The property is located within one block of First & Green event venue and within a 2 minute walk to a grocery store, salon, 2 restaurants, and a highly recommended coffee house. The Dogwoods Golf course is less than a 15 minute drive and we are also only 5 miles from Grenada lake. Boat parking is available and fisherman are welcome!

It provides guests with a unique and authentic countryside experience, far away from the hustle and bustle of city life.The landscape is full of beautiful rolling pasture, lush greenery, and perhaps even grazing livestock. Your guest Barn dominium is equipped with thoughtful amenities to ensure guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.This is a 3 bedroom rustic type barn dominium with plenty of room. It has a spacious dining room / den / kitchen area with an electric fireplace. There is a big screen Tv with WiFi and most popular apps on the Roku Tv. There is a king master bedroom, queen bedroom, and a bedroom with 3 single ( extra long) beds. All have charging usb outlets and ceiling fans. The pool table room has a dart board and fake coin slot machine for entertainment. It has some of our family’s trophy animals mounted on the walls that we have harvested through the years. The outside pavilion has a big screen Tv and a fire pit to relax and enjoy the outdoors. There is a black stone griddle and a charcoal smoker and grill to cook your favorite meals. We also offer a fish cooker ( large basket ) for outside and a small in house fryer. The indoor air conditioned fish cleaning station is a must. No mosquitoes or bugs while you’re dressing fish. There is a commercial ice maker and extra refrigerator and freezer to keep your fish in during your stay. Boat parking and electricity is provided also. ( 3 boat hook up max ) not covered. We think you will be pleased with all the extras and the peace and quiet of this country setting. We will always do our best to accommodate your stay and requests to ultimately make long time friends and friends that want to come again !! Also Great for family reunions, birthday parties, or wedding parties.

It is beautifully decorated, very spacious and roomy! It was very clean. The kitchen was large and well equipped. There are extra refrigerators and a commercial sized ice maker! The beds were very comfortable, and we slept great! My family particularly enjoyed the activity room and the use of the grill. It is a beautiful country setting. You could just take deep breaths and feel your blood pressure lowering! We took our folding lawn chairs, and when we weren’t enjoying the inside, we did a lot of porch sitting, overlooking the pastures filled with cows and a pond which was a duck magnet. Many of the neighbors made us feel welcome when they drove down the country road, honked their horns, and waved! We plan on reserving this place again!"
