This jewel sits ON the Tanglefoot Trail in New Albany, Mississippi. Downtown restaurants and bars, coffee shops, and boutiques are very short (0.4 mi.) stroll up the Tanglefoot Trail! This single family home (not a duplex) has been exquisitely restored to its original outside character and beautifully renovated and decorated on the interior. Vist Ole Miss and Elvis' birthplace in neighboring towns of Oxford and Tupleo, or visit William Faulkner's birthplace and museum in New Albany!

The space
The Tallahatchie Townhouse is designed with a contemporary interior but still carries the old charm on the exterior. The yard that surrounds the entire home with parking for 2-3 cars in the front and parking for 1 car on the side pad. Plus, additional parking in the back, if needed. The entire property is very spacious and open. Included in your stay is complimentary access to Netflix, Smart TVs in all bedrooms & living room, and the only listing in New Albany that is located ON the Tanglefoot Trail. Enjoy a glass of wine, or just relax, on the spacious front porch or back yard.
Guest access
Guest are permitted to access and enjoy all areas of the house. Parking in New Albany is abundant, so you can park and walk around the Downtown area during your stay or easily drive anywhere in New Albany. It's very easy to get around!

Like most other Airbnbs in New Albany, the Tallahatchie Townhouse is located in a developing neighborhood. Since the development of the Tanglefoot Trail, there has been a lot of growth in the neighborhood. Our caretakers live next door, and we have several other properties in the neighborhood. So, you may see some houses and buildings under re-developement.

If you're looking to move to New Albany, there is a very nice, new development across the Tanglefoot Trail and to the right (if you're standing on the front porch of the Tallahatchie Townhouse).

Falkner Inn is situated on the birth site of author William Faulkner in the quaint town of New Albany, MS. The Inn is within walking distance of downtown shops/restaurants and the 40 mile Tanglefoot Trail.

- "It’s was a good time had by all. Will tell everyone what a great place to stay and visit. The meseum Was off the charts." - "There aren’t many reviews about this property, so I want to address things I haven’t seen. My family (2 adults, 5 kids ages 4-18, and my MIL) needed a place to stay over the holidays to visit family. We would spend most of the day visiting and basically need a place to sleep. The property provides 4 bedrooms each with queen beds and 2 bathrooms - each in the hall. The house was probably built in the ‘60s, and has been remodeled and modernized. The house is nicely decorated, but for those with small kids, be warned there are a lot of breakables in reach, especially in the dining room and upstairs bedrooms. For its age, the house is nicely appointed with large bedrooms, a decently sized kitchen (2-3 people can work at the same time), and a space that may have been a formal living room used as a game room/supplemental dining room (has a table and 4 chairs). There is a large parking area that holds 3-4 vehicles behind the house. One side of the house is a church and the other side is a neighborhood. One possible issue is the proximity to the train tracks. They are about a block away and are very active. There are no noise restrictions, so the trains blare the horn about every 2 hours all night long. They also run during the day, but not as frequent. Overall this house met our needs and the innkeeper, Steve, was wonderful. The house was decorated for the holidays, which was an unexpected bonus that we all enjoyed. While not perfect for everyone, this is a great option for most"
