THE LOCATION:

Vernon Township is in Sussex County, New Jersey, USA. It is located about 1 hour from New York City and was established on April 8, 1793. Iron mining was prevalent during the mid-to-late 19th century. Mines such as Canister Mine, Williams Mine, and the Pochuck Mine created industry which spawned local businesses and brought rail travel to the town.

Today Vernon and the immediate area is an outdoor lover’s paradise. Here you will find a landscape consisting of residential and resort communities, farmland, apple orchards, pumpkin patches, bird watching, barns, horse farms and stables, lakes, fishing, and just so much natural beauty. The famous Appalachian Trail (AT) even runs through it! You will be amazed on what you will find only 1 hour outside of New York City.

Our cleaners are instructed to clean and sanitize after each guest has departed. This includes all high touch areas like light switches and handles. We then send in a quality control person to inspect each condo. We take our guests’ safety seriously. We offer a contactless check-in procedure featuring a digital lock and you will be provided with your own unique key code.

★ Although beautiful, the staircase at the cabin is a narrow (see photo in our listing) and is the only way to get to the upper level. We know that some people may find them difficult to climb and come down from, particularly older guests who struggle with stairs. Our unit is located in a quiet building which is perfect for families with 24 hr security. We recently spent over 40K on renovations, the unit is in fantastic condition with new bathrooms, flooring, carpeting, most of the furniture is new and we would like to keep it that way. Absolutely no parties or guests other than those listed on our contract. Hopefully this works for you if not you may want to choose another listing.

- "Property is perfect, everything is available. Very clean and modern. Water park is right there. Heated pool and hot tub right out the back door. Will definitely do again" - "This place is sweet. First the Room is situated nicely to take the elevator from the basement parking garage to unload and the directions given upon arrival are easy. Then once we put our stuff down we opened the back door and went approx 50ft to the beautiful pool/hot tub/sauna. We ordered in delicious food from Pizza Station both nights, which was quick and easy. The first day we relaxed in the comfy deluxe room and watched movies after being in the pool all day. The second day went to LegoLand which was about 30 min away and the third day we went across the street to Mountain Creek waterpark. It was perfect for what we were looking to do and I cannot say enough how seamless it was from beginning to end. Chris was super attentive and communicated quickly. The place was spotless and meticulously kept. One king bed and a pullout couch was perfect for the 4 of us. I will be back again and sincerely loved it."

Vernon Township is in Sussex County New Jersey, USA. It is located about 1 hour from New York City and was established on April 8, 1793. Iron mining was prevalent during the mid-to-late 19th century. Mines such as Canister Mine, Williams Mine, and the Pochuck Mine created industry which spawned local businesses and brought rail travel to the town.
Today Vernon and the immediate area is an outdoor lover’s paradise. - "Very comfortable for 4 adults; cozy for 6. Great location, property, and local activities! Encountered several maintenance issues, a few of which we're handled within a few hours of notification (leaking toilet, missing lightbulbs under kitchen cabinets, patio door hinge loosening with use was tightened, dishwasher drain cleaned out), with other repairs requiring more specialized attention after our stay (missing seal on dishwasher causing leakage; hinge repair on patio door). Minor inconveniences included burned out nightlights, full bedroom closets prohibiting use, lack of any racks or shelves in the showers, plastic on mattresses that made the beds hot in July and caused fitted sheets to slip, missing turn switch on living room lamp, small K-cup coffee maker, and only 2 face cloths and 2 hand towels for 6 people. Still giving it a 5-star rating overall given cleanliness, modern furnishings, responsiveness of the property manager, location, and the potential of the rental once everything is fixed and inconveniences are remedied."

The kitchen was well equipped, so we had no problems staying in for some of our meals. The beds were super comfortable. There are quite a few stairs to climb (both down then up) getting to the unit from the parking lot, so keep that in mind if anyone in your party has issues with stairs.
