Wonderful private cottage and totally separate from the main house and one block to the ocean and The Strand! It is a beautiful open, airy great room design with cathedral ceilings and lots of light. Many beach properties do not have air conditioning because it is not needed this close to the beach but I have provided air conditioning. It is located in the bedroom but cools the whole house. The cottage boasts a large separate deck with room to have a barbecue and a patio table, as well, as room to sunbathe if you don't feel like walking the one block to the beach! The deck is totally private and only used by you and your guests. Many properties located this close to the beach do not have much outdoor space because of the size of the lots this close to the beach. The furnishings are exactly like pictures. It is a really wonderful place to stay.

There is private off-street parking designated for your car only. No moving your car to get out of the way of another car!

Beach equipment, boogie boards, beach chairs and towels are available at the cottage. Bikes, too!

Many things are within walking distance i.e. stores, all water sports, bicycle rentals, restaurants for dinner as well as a wonderful breakfast place called Martha's. The Strand is one block away. Perfect for walking, riding, running, rollerblading. It is a fabulous location and absolutely quiet.

Have a glass of wine and relax on your private ocean view roof top deck on a lounger or seated at the bar height table and take in the beautiful sunsets. - "I have never been in such a well appointed unit. Everything you need is here. Obviously a lot of thought went into stocking it. Communication with the owner was fantastic with very quick response times. The location is fantastic just a few short blocks south of the Hermosa pier and all that the pier has to offer. The unit has no common walls with any other building so that you have complete privacy and quiet. It is also a very quiet neighborhood. It’s hard to see in the pictures but there’s a very cute little loft upstairs with a couch and the adjacent outdoor rooftop patio. It’s decorated with lots of fun surf culture items and has so much room for two people. We were so much happier being here than we would have been in a hotel. If you are even on the fence about renting this place… Just do it. You will not be sorry."

We are able to book into the future but have the option not to take a booking if outside of 10 days from the current guest's departure. This unit is 0.5 miles from the beach, you can walk down our street directly to the sand! We are within walking distance to Trader Joe's, Vons, numerous bars, and some of our favorite restaurants. This home features an open floor plan with full kitchen, separate bedroom with the most comfortable Queen sized bed and luxurious bedding, beautiful *heated* bathroom with stand-up shower, full access to the backyard with BBQ grill, also with AC and heating! One of my favorite features of the unit is being able to step through the French Doors opening into the backyard. It's so lovely to sit out there on the patio furniture to experience the peace and tranquility of staying so close to the beach!

My wife & I and our 2 teenage boys enjoyed our time at this well appointed condo on the beach! The location is less than a 5 minute walk to the Hermosa Pier. For that matter, virtually everthing you need is within walking distance; restaurants, shopping (clothes, gifts & groceries), along with various other recreational activities - other than The Beach! Everything we needed was supplied - all we did was make a couple of trips to the market which was just a short 5 minute drive. We bbq on the patio (much to the delight of the other folks on vacation walking The Strand and comments such as 'yum, smells good - any extra?' I strongly recommend this rental for any family, couple, etc wishing to partake of the 'SoCal Beach Experience' - we really did not want to leave - but we'll be back!

We were in unit number three from mid-August 2024 until mid-October 2024 and it was a stay of a lifetime for our family. We came here when our little one was 2 months old, and the proximity to the beach (5 second walk to the strand) and fresh air helped her to develop and enjoy nature that much earlier in life. Suzanne was exceptionally kind and quick in her responses to us - she was never more than a text or phone call away. We were blown away when we saw how she had helped us with extra garage storage for our large and unsightly Thule box right when we moved in. We plan to be back here within the next two years! - "Overall excellent stay - The property itself was perfect for us, very responsive host, overall great vibe and the VIEW just made it - My wife & I rented this property to work from home for a month and a half this summer - It has a GREAT work from home setup there is a standing desk / double monitor setup (& you can see the ocean from the desk). Property was clean, high-tech (smart devices / lights / auto-curtains / etc.), all as the pictures show. From the balcony we watched some wild sunsets, dolphins swimming in the waves, and sailboats that must have a weekly group b/c saw them probably 7 times during the month - Nuts watching that while working with a cup of coffee on the couch. Proximity / location also idyllic, few blocks from pier to avoid some of the bustle, but we could walk down to different spots each morning on Pier Ave to grab coffee, watch the surfers, have breakfast - Also don’t have to deal with any of the hills in Hermosa / Manhattan (which I originally didn’t realize can get steep around here once you get block or two off the water) but b/c you’re right on strand, no hills, can just grab bikes and go! I will say parking was insane around the beach there but the garage spots had us covered majority of the stay, but if you have others visit (we had two families come stay as well for a few days plus other friends), just have to make sure you get outside spots early. Nowhere around there is cheap in summer, including this place, but still a great deal for being a block from the beach and all the perks, quiet vibe, parking, setup in the house, etc. - was well worth it to get so close to the strand / pier / restaurant scene and was obviously much more reasonable than a full house anywhere around here, let alone a block from the sand. Check In / Check Out smooth - Host responsive - 5 / 5 stars!!"
