This modern, newly-built custom home sits on the north bench overlooking Rock Creek Valley just outside the town of Joliet, MT. The home we rented was exceptional in every way. The living/family area was huge and the kitchen was amazing…large (and well appointed) but cozy at the same time. The two kitchen tables were perfect for playing rousing games of Uno and other card games. One of the tables was our puzzle table. Abby went out of her way to decorate the house for Thanksgiving. The bedrooms were awesome…plenty of beds that were incredibly comfortable and there was an en suite bathroom for each bedroom. There were so many unexpected pleasures on this trip. First, Cottonwood Ranch actually is a working ranch with all the amenities. Our granddaughter loved going out to visit the horses and we loved just being there. Entire Apartment- three bedrooms with a loft overlooking the great room and kitchen. Completely renovated store from 1901. Has a modern feel yet is a cozy peaceful getaway located in the small, sweet town of Joliet, MT.

It's located 30 minutes from Red Lodge and Billings, about 2 hours to Yellowstone National Park, and just over an hour to Cody WY.

Less than 5 min walk to the city park, fishing, pizza place, grocery store, church, gift store, ice cream shop, gas station, and local bar.
The space
Beautiful open great room and kitchen with a loft overhead with two twin beds (3rd bedroom). The first floor has a walk-in shower, washer/ dryer, and bedroom with a queen bed and two smart TVs . We tried to make it as handicap accessible as possible. Upstairs past the loft with standard size twin beds is a full bath with tub and a bedroom with a queen bed and desk. We have two low beams upstairs that could be inconvenient for any over 6ft 2in.
Other things to note
To get to the Apartment, you have to go around to the back of the Main Str buildings. The front half of the building is a lovely gift store with ice cream and the back half is the Airbnb. They are completely separate with entrances on either side.
The building was renovated from a 1901 store and has some low beams in the upstairs bedroom and another low beam as you come down the stairs. If you are taller than 6 ft 2 inches, this may be an inconvenience.
We also have one outdoor camera.

- "We have stayed in many short-term rentals around the world, and this is definitely one of our favorites. We stayed here during our annual family reunion. Everything about the experience was great. Heather and Jesse were very communicative. The instructions were clear and helpful. For us, the location was perfect. Joliet is a very cute little town. It has recently been totally re-done. It was just the right size for the two of us and our daughter. All the amenities are new. The kitchen was well stocked, and the appliances worked great. We didn’t use the barbecue but it was nice to have it available. The beds were extremely comfortable. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. It was very quiet – it is close to the main route, but we did not hear any road noise. We can’t wait to stay there again! Thanks Heather & Jesse! "

Also, the owner didn’t know the property was rented out for the weekend so I wonder if it was in less than favorable cleanliness because of that. He had some of his stuff sitting out in the cabin.
