With a well stocked kitchen, plenty places to sleep, three full bathrooms and so many more amenities, it is a perfect place for a fabulous vacation. The water is very clear for swimming, and we used the kayaks, paddle boards, lily pad, and caught lots of fish. With plentiful firewood, with had a campfire every night on the hill overlooking the lake. The owners have thought of everything. Immaculate Custom built Log Home with a large loft that sleep 4 plus 2 bedrooms with king beds that sleep 4, 1 bath & laundry room. Free Wi-fi included. Great room with stone fireplace, large deck (with new posts and rails in 2022) a great view of the lake. Lots of shade trees and a huge fire pit for campfires. Fish cleaning house with a chest freezer. 112 ft of shoreland and a private boat dock to fish from and tie up a boat. Garfield Lake is over 900 acres and a excellent fishing lake with a public swimming beach. This is a very quiet and peaceful place to relax and make wonderful memories with family and friends. Access to the Paul Bunyan trail is at the end of our driveway. Located 1/2 mile from Laporte, 10 miles from Walker, 25 miles from Bemidji, and 22 miles from Itasca State Park.

Great location! 20 minutes from Walker and 40 minutes to Itasca or Bemidji — so off the beaten path of packed tourist places but close enough to easily visit. The cabin was originally built in 1902 just down the road. We tore it down and moved it to our property and completely restored it. There is a loft with a queen bed, a living room with a full futon, full bath and full kitchen. It can sleep up to four people, but note that it includes 1 queen bed and 1 pull out futon in the living room.

Our one room cabin, located on West Crooked Lake Resort, is a clean and well maintained cabin. It has a deck where you can relax under the shade of pine trees and enjoy a wonderful view of West Crooked Lake. It is at the end of the resort and located very near the water.

This cabin is perfect for a couple or a couple with a young child.

The cabin has a charcoal grill, lawn chairs, and comes with a fully equipped kitchen that includes a microwave, stove, oven, coffee maker, and all the accompanying dishes, pots and pans, and utensils.

We provide bed linens and towels. We supply toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, and hand soap. This is a non-smoking cabin.

We have pontoon and fishing boats to rent if you don't have your own but want to fish or tour beautiful West Crooked Lake. Please let us know if you are bringing your own boat.

We ask that you respect our neighbors and park/stay on our property only. Noise levels need to be low, especially at night and no outside music past dark. Sound travels across the water and is much louder than you would think. If a noise violation occurs and/or law enforcement is called you will be requested to leave with no refund.

No pets. No smoking. Fires must stay in the rings. Broken glass found in the yard, lake, or shoreline will result in loss of damage deposit. Consider using plastic or aluminum. We want everyone to enjoy this property, respect our environment and their special time at the lake. Please leave the property in the condition it was found in.

Water conservation must be practiced. This includes practices like: limited showers (10 mins.), don't leave water running when doing dishes, brushing teeth, etc. This is good for the environment and needed at this property to keep the small rural septic system operating as it should. The septic system is a lift system. Flushing anything other than toilet paper will cause damage. If damage occurs due to flushing wipes, feminine products, or anything else you will need to pay for the repair.

- "Our family of 3 just finished our long weekend stay at Sandy Pines. The check-in process was easy, and the property is absolutely gorgeous. Very rustic, yet beautiful - right down to the pictures on the walls. Everything you needed was right there at the cabin. My son loved the beach area, and we all loved the kayaks and paddle boards. Our son caught too many bluegills off the dock to keep track of. Fishing elsewhere on the lake was slow, but that’s why they call it fishing and not catching, I suppose . The neighbors said that the lake is super low this year, making the weeds grow a little quicker than typical. This cabin has a 10/10 cozy factor, looking like you stepped right into a magazine on interior design. The seating areas outside were all well thought out. My favorite space was the screen porch. Perfect spot to finish my book, and play an intense game of Monopoly in the evening, and listen to the loons all day long. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!"

This tiny place accommodates two just fine and there’s not one thing that was missing. Everything was well-thought and so clean! Biking/walking trails, golf courses, casinos, a fun park, a local winery (tours available), horseback riding, shopping and restaurants, and the Headwaters of the Mississippi in Itasca State Park are just a few of the attractions you will find. ATV riders enjoy hundreds of miles of trails in the Park Rapids Lakes Area, bringing them closer to nature's beauty in remote areas others often don't see. Local clubs maintain two primary trails in our area, which are connected with more miles of trails along county highways and byways. Round River Drive ATV Trail is located in the Paul Bunyan State Forest and can be reached from state Hwy 64, 4.5 miles north of Akeley. Martineau Trail, an OHM trail with two loops totaling 105 miles. The trail is located in the southern unit of the Paul Bunyan State Forest and can be reached from state Hwy 64, 5.5 miles north of Akeley. Search for the Paul Bunyan State Forest for more information on trails near our resort, many of which you can drive to on your ATV, rather than taking your ATV on a trailer.

You can find a variety of fish including Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass, Walleye, Pan Fish, and More! The lake ranges from 10ft-40ft deep, which makes it a great spot to go boating, tubing, and swimming.

Escape to the secluded resort in the forest for a peaceful and fun-filled getaway. This two-bedroom retreat comfortably sleeps up to five guests, with a cozy camper king bed, two twin beds in the loft, and a sofa bed in the living area for extra space.

Enjoy all the comforts of home with amenities like WiFi, air conditioning, a dishwasher, and a washer/dryer. The RV also features a fully equipped kitchen—complete with a stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, and all the cookware and utensils you’ll need. The bathroom includes a refreshing shower, and we provide all your essentials, including bed linens, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, and hand soap.

Step outside and take in the stunning surroundings—our property boasts 1,000 feet of shoreline along crystal-clear West Crooked Lake. Guests are welcome to use our water toys, or simply relax on the deck with a picnic table, charcoal grill (charcoal provided), lawn chairs, and a private fire pit.
