Luxurious Ground Floor Beachfront Villa invites you to walk right out your door to the white sand beach and refreshing pool. This property along with its sister property, Palmas De Cortez Resort, are recognized as 'The Place To Stay' in Los Barriles.

We are located in the heart of the quaint fishing village of Los Barriles, Baja California Sur and within walking distance to shops, grocery stores and wonderful restaurants. Due to our central location, no rental car is necessary and transportation is available to and from the San Jose Del Cabo and La Paz airport.

We have been told by our return guests that we have the nicest, most private unit in our complex, both for location and amenities.

Our Villa is approximately 1200 sq.feet in size. It is divided into two main rooms (living room with sectional couch and queen size pull out bed and master bedroom with king size bed). There is also a queen size automatic blow up air mattress for additional sleep options. There is separate airconditioning in each room as well as ceiling fans in both rooms.

An out door shower is provided for your return from the beach. This villa is perfect for families, friends or couples wishing to have separate sleeping quarters and their own private bathrooms.

It is beautifully appointed with marble countertops, marble floors and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen is spacious with all the equipment for the most creative cooks; including two separate sinks.

Enjoy a 46' Flat Screen HDTV for those of you that want to stay connected to the outside world We offer a Smart TV in the bedroom and a Roku streaming device in the living room.

The Villa De Cortez complex has a Private Beachfront Infinity Edge pool with swim up bar. There is a nine hole executive golf courses adjacent to the property. If you want a little more excitement, you can drive south about 90 minutes to Cabo San Lucas and go see Sammy Hagar's famous Cabo Wabo. After a day in 'the city', you'll be anxious to get back to the serenity and relaxation of Los Barriles.

This is an amazing cottage that is perfect for couples who would like to kick back and relax, only a stone’s throw from the amazing Sea of Cortez! Of course, when you’re ready to move from the beautiful veranda, there is a long list of water and land sports and activities that you’re likely to find will make the days go by far too quickly!
Among those amenities that this seaside casita has to offer include a living room, complete kitchen, spacious bathroom, separate bedroom with king bed, washing machine, complimentary wifi, and satellite-TV!
Also, of more interest to some than to others, we realize, the gardens are professionally landscaped and regularly maintained. We have one 2-person kayak and two 1-person kayaks available for guest use.

A 45-minute drive north from the San Jose del Cabo airport gets you to the entrance of the Los Barriles, the quaint little town that is home to about 5,000 people; approximately ½ locals and ½ expatriates. Casa Tortuga is situated a little over 3 miles north of the center of town and is an easy ride to pick up fresh fruit & vegetables, grocery and beverage needs, and, a good variety of restaurants serving quality, delicious food.
Please note that the property is not suitable for those with small children, given the proximity to the Sea of Cortez, coupled with the fact that there are some stairs on the property and the balconies have low or no railings. Please note, also, that this is a non-smoking property.

With 6-bedrooms and 5,500 square feet of living space, Casa de Las Palmas is one of the largest beachfront homes in Los Barriles and is perfect for large or small groups. We invite you to enjoy, relax, and unwind at our roomy family-friendly compound that sits on the edge of a white, sandy beach where you can swim, snorkel, kayak, fish, or paddleboard.

The beautifully designed heated pool and spa with a lush landscaped deck area is fully fenced, gated, and protected with child-safety locks, an added benefit for families with small children. The pool area was designed to be enjoyed year-round and is protected and out of the wind, which is especially nice during the cooler winter months!

As you enter the arched doors of the large, airy great room, your first sight is a gorgeous view of the Sea of Cortez framed by arched porticos and swaying palm trees. An extensive remodel in 2009 continued the elegant style of a sprawling single level traditional Spanish hacienda with private patios, outdoor seating areas, and large verandas with spacious dining areas. A wall of sliding glass doors on the beach side afford views of the sea from anywhere in the room.

One side of the great room has a large, well-equipped modern kitchen with a dining area that seats 12 or more. Comfortable couches, chairs, and a game table provide a separate conversation area at the other end of the room where you can enjoy major channels on the satellite TV. Equipped with a DVD player, an Xbox, and connection for computer to television, everyone is sure to be satisfied. Connect to high-speed internet anywhere throughout the property, including the pool area and outdoor verandas.

The main house has four bedrooms (perfect for a smaller group) with the two Casita bedrooms just across the courtyard. The house comfortably sleeps 12 adults, along with 4 babies/children yet still provides privacy if desired. The bedrooms are furnished with king or queen beds and all have private baths, other than two bedrooms which share a large Jack n’ Jill bath.

At Casa de Las Palmas, our fantastic staff will satisfy your every need. We have chefs who are available to cook for you on a daily or nightly basis. Traditional Mexican flavors combined with flame-grilled steaks, BBQ ribs, or grilled shrimp are always a favorite!

The villa with all amenities is available on a weekly basis (4-night minimum stay) or for up to a month. You will find several excellent restaurants in Los Barriles, a Saturday market with organic fruits, veggies, and fresh baked goods, a deli, grocery stores, and tourist shopping just five-minutes away in town. With all of the modern conveniences available, Los Barriles still maintains the quaint charm of a small fishing village, which you are sure to love. Your hosts live year round in town and are more than happy to help you plan everything to make your time here as perfect and stress-free as possible.

ATV’s and 2- or 4-seater side-by-sides are a great way to get around town and “live like a local.” (Ask about the discounts available to our guests.) These vehicles provide adventurous rides up the arroyos to picturesque waterfalls.

In an excellent area known for big game fishing for marlin, sailfish, yellow fin tuna, and Dorado, there are many boats and crew available for day trips. We will be glad to recommend our personal favorites.

Drivers and vans are also available for day trips, shopping, or other excursions. A day trip to Cabo Pulmo, a national marine park with one of the most beautiful reefs, is a great place for a picnic lunch where you can swim and snorkel with the sea lions and the many diverse species that inhabit the reef.

During the months of December through late February/early March, kiteboarding and wind surfing are the sports “du jour” due to the on-shore north winds. A short walk south from the house will take you to ExotiKite Kiteboarding School whose friendly, experienced instructors are all IKO trained and certified. All gear and equipment can be rented through them and your personal instructor will have you up and riding the wind and waves in no time.

The palapa provides a relaxing place to drink your margaritas while enjoying the scenery; the hot tub provides a great place to unwind while gazing at the stars, and the stone walkway from the house provides access to the isolated beach below. The Red House is just what the doctor ordered, if you're looking for a place to spend some quiet time away from tourists and enjoy all the beauty that Mexico has to offer. Just a 90-minute drive from Los Cabos airport will bring you to this majestic hideaway.

- "You've already seen the pictures - the house is as advertised, if not better in-person. Amazing, secluded and beautifully modern house with art and architecture everywhere inside and amazing views everywhere outside. We had the entire beach to ourselves during our stay, and the snorkeling rivaled (OK, honestly, exceeded) our Cabo Pulmo experience. Jesus, the house manager, is incredibly helpful. Notes for future travelers: Cooking: The house has a well-appointed kitchen - lots of spices, cookware, French press and grinder, blender, gas range, etc. The outdoor kitchen has its own fridge/freezer and a gas grill. Getting there: Rent an SUV. Its higher clearance will serve you well. With just an SUV, you can take either the dirt road all the way from Los Barriles or the windy mountain road and only last ~10 minutes on dirt. But those last 10 minutes were pretty rough in both cases (there was construction while we were there making it extra rough). Cell signal is spotty on both roads, so review/download the instructions and have a saved /offline copy of the map in your phone. House wifi is good. Finally, we were there in the middle of summer and the middle of the 2023 heat wave, so the house itself (walls, tile, etc) was very warm when we arrived because we were the first guests in awhile. There were regional power outages (2-3 hrs each) our first night and next morning, so our first 24 hours were rough. But after the house (and fridge) cooled down, we had a lovely stay."

From the moment you enter this property, you will be drawn to the tranquility of Casa de la Playa. This property is right in the middle of everything - yet so peaceful! The Sea of Cortez will captivate you from the moment you enter the house. The large deck on front has multiple seating areas for observing the peace or activity of the beach and Sea.

This home has a great connection to the beach - even when you are inside. Yet it is also very private. Casa de la Playa is the first house to the north of Las Palmas de Cortez Hotel in the town of Los Barriles. You can easily walk to town or take the beach cruisers. The new pickleball resort is within walking distance.

This is a one story home and all bedrooms and bathrooms are on one level. There is a solid walking surface from the parking area to the house. We also have a portable ramp for the one step to the house on request.

The four bedrooms are large and the spaces in between are generous and offer a sense of privacy in each of the rooms. The beds have high quality sheets and mattresses and there are closets and drawers in each bedroom so that you may unpack and settle in.

The master bedroom is located on the Sea of Cortez, with a wall to wall sliding glass door to wake to the sunrise (privacy shades included). The master bath has double Talavera sinks and custom Parota cabinetry.

The large second bedroom is peaceful and quiet, with 2 full size beds. There is a TV and DVD player and a collection of DVDs located in the handcarved armoire.

Bedroom 3 has a queen size bed and French doors that open to a large shade area (media sombre) with a wicker sofa set.

The 4th bedroom has it's own entrance. It has a queen size bed, French doors opening to the garden, and a private half bath.

The main bathroom is between bedrooms 2 and 3. It has Mexican tile and a custom Parota cabinet with ample drawers for individual toiletries.

There is air conditioning and fans in each bedroom and throughout the house. In addition, the beach side windows have shades to keep the house cool in the morning, without losing the view to the Sea.

The kitchen is well stocked and looks to the Sea. It opens to the living room with views to the Sea and multiple dining areas inside and out. The kitchen has handmade Mexican tile and custom Parota cabinets. Bottled drinking water is provided. The whole house is on a water purification system, so you may wash veggies, and drink water from the tap.

The deck on the beach side has a BBQ and plenty of sitting and lounging areas where you can look for whales, dolphin and rays jumping. In the morning, you may watch the fishing boats go out. In the afternoons you may watch the kiteboarders or the fishermen returning with their catch.

Off the kitchen, there is a courtyard with another wicker lounge area and table, and the media sombre with lounge seating on the garden side of the house.

Amenities include 2 beach cruisers for riding to town, 2 SUPs and a tandem kayak for your use. If you would like to hit the pool or hot tub, you can walk next door for lunch or a margarita and jump in the infinity pool at the hotel. (The hotel may charge a day use fee at their discretion.) And of course, the Sea of Cortez is right outside the door, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and SUPing. There is a private palapa on the beach and two outdoor showers for rinsing off sand and salt.

We have recently upgraded the internet to Starlink for more consistent, high speed internet.

The house is also equipped with pickleball racquets, bocce balls, books about the area, sand toys, throw blankets, and beach towels for your enjoyment.

If you ever want to leave the house, there is plenty to do in the area. The town has many great restaurants within walking distance, including coffee shops and bars. Many of our guests rent ATVs to get around town and take day trips up the arroyo or to Punta Pescadero. There are mountain biking trails from the house (and a shop in town where you can rent bikes if you like). You can take a trip to Cabo Pulmo for diving and snorkeling. Or go to La Paz to see the whale sharks. There are hikes to waterfalls and swimming holes. Depending on the time of year, you can take kiteboarding or windsurfing lessons, or take a boat out fishing. We can give you more ideas when you decide to go for a visit.

You are renting the entire estate with a guesthouse (the only one on the property) designed for family gatherings. The sandy beach of Punta Pescadero on the Sea of Cortez is the ultimate Baja vacation spot. Look down the uninhabited beach and watch the sunrise over the majestic Sea of Cortez.

Los Arcos is built on a massive lot with sweeping views of the sea and mountains. There are four large bedrooms: a suite (king-size bed) and two separate other bedrooms (two queen beds and a bunk bed). Each room has a separate full bath and shower. In addition, there is a casita suite detached with three queen beds and a full bath, perfect for the kids or overflow guests.
The separation of the various suites makes this ideal for several families or corporate business retreats. Every room has air conditioning and a circulation fan when temperatures heat up.
A huge covered veranda surrounds the entire house, where you can always find a quiet spot. We are on the beach, and stairs lead to the beach with its fire pit and covered Palapa. From there, walk over the sand into the warm Sea of Cortez to go snorkeling and look at the tropical fish and coral.
The Punta Pescadero resort is a short walk down the road. You can play horseshoes here and rent ATVs, scuba gear, and basketball. There is also a restaurant and a full bar overlooking the water, where they make great margaritas.
Linens and towels are included during your stay. If you want a daily cleaning service, a cook, or meals delivered. Our property manager is available to help you arrange activities, meals, and live music and fulfill all your expectations, be it fishing excursions or other local trips of interest. If you want any meals brought in or cooked at the house, he can supply you with a menu from his wife’s restaurant.
Fishing? You can rent a 26-foot super-panga with an experienced captain. Sierra, Pargo, Roosterfish, Yellowtail Tuna, and Marlin frequent this area. Our captains have grown up fishing in this area; no one knows it better!
ATV’s? You can rent and get them delivered to the house from Sergios ATV rentals. Both Quads and Razors are available for rent, and many trails and roads exist to explore. If you are a fisherman, an ATV gives you a massive advantage in chasing those roosterfish. During turtle nesting season, please don't ride on the beach!
Mountain Biking? Bikes are available from Punta Pescadero or Las Barriles, which have guided tours and will transport you to the top of the track by van for a wild ride down some of the best bike trails in Baja.
Paddle Boarding? We have two paddle boards for our guests at the house.
Kayaking? We have two kayaks at Los Arcos, and the secluded beach is the perfect starting point for your ocean adventures. Paddling among dolphins and manta rays is a great way to start the day.
Movies? Los Arcos has a dedicated DSL internet connection as an extensive collection of 300 DVD movies, NetFlix, and a stereo system.
Kiteboarding? A superb windsurfing and kiteboarding school is nearby for beginners, and experts enjoy the constant ocean breeze during the season.
Pickleball? A new pickleball resort is just a few minutes away, with classes and equipment for rent. It's a great way to keep the kids (and Adults) entertained and exercised. They also have one of the best restaurants in the area.
Scuba Diving? Check out the world famous Cabo Pulmo Marine park a short drive away.
Shopping? Plenty of local souvenir and convenience shops are in the nearby town of Los Barriles.

- "Stayed here for 4 nights early March. Los Barriles was a great antidote to the hustle and bustle of Cabo. The place was beautiful as described, in a nice neighbourhood. Bikes were available to get to Tres Palapas Pickleball resort in a few minutes. We enjoyed access to paddle boards and Kayaks. communication and our check-in was seamless. Recommend a visit to Cabo Pulmo where we were fortunate to see a pair of blue whales up close. The town has a relaxed vibe and we took advantage of lazy daze beach bar more than once. Ideally, we would like the option to heat the pool as it was too cold for us, but a minor point to an otherwise incredible stay. We hope to be back!"

A 45-minute drive north from the San Jose del Cabo airport gets you to the entrance of the Los Barriles, the quaint little town that is home to about 5,000 people; approximately ½ locals and ½ expatriates. Casa Tortuga is situated a little over 3 miles north of the center of town and is an easy ride to pick up fresh fruit & vegetables, grocery and beverage needs, and, a good variety of restaurants serving quality, delicious food.

Welcome to Casa De Dos Perros, our paradise in Baja! The owners built this 3400SF home in 2006 to spend time in the winter, so no expense or personal comfort was spared. Our home has never been rented before, but it is a shame not to share this fabulous spot when we can't be there! We call our home a Mexican Contemporary due to its soaring 22' ceilings and the wall of glass doors that open to the fantastically beautiful Sea of Cortez. From the minute you come in the private front gate, prepare yourself for the stunning view once you open the front door. It's an infinite expanse of BLUE: the blue, all tile, infinity edge pool, and beyond, the open Sea of Cortez extending to the horizon... I don't think it gets any better than this!

If you like to cook like we do, this is the place to do it. Our well stocked kitchen has all of the appropriate utensils, knives, pots & pans, and small appliances to prepare anything possible. (If you don't like to cook, just call one of the many caterers for a delicious, reasonably priced Mexican buffet! The abundance of fresh fish from the Sea is amazing..) Just steps from the 8' island (with bar stools)is a propane, stainless steel barbeque. It is plumbed directly into the propane tank (no small bottles to run out during cooking!). Adjacent to this is another, outdoor bar that seats 6, and a large sunken, cushioned beach-wood burning fire pit. Our unique stainless steel, glass topped dining table seats 6-8 people.

Our home is on city supplied well water, purified with an ultraviolet filter system throughout the house. In addition, the kitchen sink is equipped with a reverse osmosis drinking spout.

In the living room, 12' of comfortable couches surround a 42' flatscreen TV with Firestick with vpn for streaming.. One additional TV are in the master bedroom.
All of our 3 bedrooms have king size beds, so our home is perfect for 2 or 3 couples. All bedrooms are upstairs with beautiful views and air conditioning when needed.

Los Barriles is a beautiful little town with the feel of real Mexico. Cows and goats roam freely amongst the residents and visitors! It is NOT Cabo San Lucas, but a serenely gorgeous area of stunning natural beauty, lovely sunrises and sunsets, superb hiking and biking opportunities and friendly relaxed folks. However, there are many day activities to choose from: snorkeling, kayaking from your beachfront, kite boarding and wind surfing, exploring via ATVs and of course, world class sport fishing.

We are located 4 miles north of the Los Barriles village, with 3 grocery stores, many restaurants and shops. We have several farms offering organic fresh vegetables, eggs and fruits!

Enter into the house through a classic Spanish-style courtyard, which incidentally has plenty of room for ATV parking! The first floor’s gracious open floorplan is filled with windows, and the entire space opens out to an amazing ocean view of the Sea of Cortez.

A welcoming entertainment area blends seamlessly with an elegant dining table that seats 10 and catches every ocean breeze. The huge gourmet kitchen, with a cleverly designed window that actually opens to access the poolside bar seating, also boasts a huge separate butler’s pantry with its own full-size freezer – so you can easily store your “catch of the day”! Off the kitchen is an additional “grande” outdoor kitchen with its own grill, sink, frig and “muy mucho” counter space!

The entire experience is one of indoor/outdoor ease. Chaise lounges are liberally placed to promote relaxation at every turn! Dip into the pool or jacuzzi, grab a drink at the outdoor bar, or head down the stairs to the beach right from the pool’s patio. You can literally paddleboard, kayak, or snorkel right in front of the house - all of the equipment is provided on site! We can also help you arrange your transportation from the Los Cabos airport, or you may prefer to rent a car. There is not any public transportation, but our house manager Carlos can make a plan to drive you into Los Barriles, about 25 minutes to the south, for grocery shopping, etc.

GUEST ACCESS:
The whole home is yours! The only area that we don’t provide access to is the garage, but there is room to park 4-5 vehicles inside the gated courtyard.

The studio villa is located in the Villas de Cortez complex, adjacent to it’s sister property, the Palmas De Cortez Hotel. The ground floor villa is a walk out to the pool areal. The location on the south end of the building provides separation from the restaurant hotel facilities. Jim’s Cottages is a one-of a-kind compound that consists of two identical buildings built on an enormous hillside lot. Each building has an upper unit (1 BR, 1.5 Baths) and lower unit (2 BR, 1 Bath).

The property is ideally situated at the crest of the small hill above town, providing guests with the perfect combination of sweeping sea & mountain views, gentle breezes, tranquility and privacy while still being a 5-10 minute walk to beaches, shops and restaurants.

Each unit has its own entrance and large patio on opposite sides of the building to ensure the utmost privacy.

This unit features one queen and two double plush beds, well-stocked full kitchen, 10' high ceilings, large windows and double screen doors that allow the breeze to flow freely throughout, creating a refreshing, naturally ventilated space that keeps it cool even without using the AC. Guests can choose to privately dine inside or on their patio.

Television in living room has Roku (Apple TV or Firestick is available on request). Guests must use personal logins for Apple TV, Max, Netflix, etc. Some streaming services may not be accessible in Mexico due to copyright restrictions. WiFi is very fast and reliable for streaming and video calls from anywhere on the property. Cell signal is excellent, unlike some areas outside of town.

For those of you who just need a blender for those special beverages, all small appliances are also there, even the coffee bean grinder.

The house is a Mexican experience with artefacts from all over Latin America decorating the interior. Talavera sinks in the bathrooms are a tribute to the wonderful artistic tradition of Mexico.

Close to town, there are many activities available. Besides beachcombing, there are horsebackriding, ATV rental, seasonal fishing and windsurfing, diving,(The reserve at Cabo Pulmo is world renown.) snorkeling, and even tennis to name a few. The house is equipped for your use with sea kayaks, boce ball, tennis rackets, cards, books, and horseshoes you can set up on the beach right in front of the house.

The house is also walking distance to the new world class Pickleball resort, Tres Palapas. They have a great coffee bar and smoothies after an early morning beach walk. They have a nice restaurant and bar and special events.

The 45 room hotel has a full bar and restaurant plus offers ATV, paddle board, and mountain bike rentals. The hotel also has a tennis court available for all guests and homeowners and their renters.

The house includes a property manager who can arrange private fishing charters, ATV tours, and horse backing riding. Daily cleaning service is provided (except Sundays) by the house keeper. She is also available for additional work at the guest's own expense.

- "Great place. 4 adults and 3 teenagers. Everything was perfect, Close to the beaches and town. Dinners on the rooftop palapa. Cooked in every night. We will definitely be back to Villa Blanca." - "We were two families vacationing together with 4 kids ages 5-10 between us. We loved the outdoor-centered living spaces (especially the reasonably well-stocked outdoor kitchen), the choice of bedrooms in the main house and in the cute casitas/studios, and the enclosed sandpit play area that basically surrounds the whole place. It was great to have plenty of space for the kids to play around and dig in the sand, and the play house in the back was a hit. Meanwhile us grownups got to chill together, cook delicious meals, and work remotely over the wifi when we needed to! The 10-minute walk down to the beach was lovely, and the 20-minute walk into town was doable when necessary. Lots of birds, an iguana living in a cactus, the occasional cow wandering by, and the chill neighborhood made for a great environment all around. Oh, and the rooftop hangout space would have been fabulous if it hadn't been so windy most of the time we were there (February). Having the downstairs outdoor living room was perfect, as we wanted to be outside and there was just enough shelter from the wind. The property management staff was very kind and responsive to questions as well. Would definitely stay in this house again if we find ourselves traveling to Los Barriles again in the future!"

The main living area and both bedrooms, open onto a spacious covered patio, with each room having their own sliding doors. Both the master and guest bedroom suites feature stunning hand-crafted Parota furniture, inlaid with carved leather and metal work accents. In each bedroom, you will enjoy luxury linens, down filled hypoallergenic comforter and pillows, pillow top mattresses, air conditioning and cooling ceiling fans! Custom built in Parota wood closets, provide ample storage for your clothing, personal attire and gear.

Both bedrooms have their own private bathrooms, with luxurious travertine walk in showers, granite counters and bright sunny skylights. They've thought of every little detail: luxurious beds, spacious bathrooms, plentiful storage, instant-on hot water, mood lighting, fans, a/c units, coffee machines, lime squeezers, measuring cups, beach chairs, even a little wagon to pull your supplies down to the beach. There's literally not a thing they haven't already thought of. Greg and Gina live nearby and are super-friendly, knowledgeable, and obviously experienced in the hospitality industry.
