Fresh muffins, cookies, oysters, fish prawns, pineapple filled with fruit, empanadas, nuts, etc. are all available to add to your total enjoyment of our little Mexican pueblo. Our villa is located on the beautiful, sandy, swimming beach of Los Ayala which is approximately 1 km. long, just perfect for a jog or relaxing sunset walk.

The Vista suite encompasses two entire top floors (approximately 1000 sq feet each) and is appointed with beautifully furnishings with hand carved detail, original works of art, hand painted dishes and bathroom fixtures (even the toilets!). There are 3 bathrooms and an outdoor kitchen with a BBQ. Both beds are either a European king size or two twin beds.

It has three fabulous terraces over-looking the ocean, with lounge chairs, and BBQ. There is a cozy terrace off the living area great for entertaining or just curling up with a book. There is a 2nd terrace off the entrance perfect for sunning. The 3rd terraze is the entire roof top deck with a seating area, sink, small fridge and bathroom.

Our special little town of Los Ayala which is located in Riviera Nayarit (or also known as the Mexican Riviera) caters mainly to Mexican tourists but is rapidly being discovered by folks further afield.

There are many palapa style restaurants on the beach, nearby groceries stories and a collective taxi service which will take you to the nearby towns of Rincon de Guayabitos or La Penita. From there, it is easy to catch a bus to Guadalajara, Tepic, Puerto Vallerta or other small towns nearby such as San Francisco or Sayulita which are surfing towns.

On the beach, enjoy purchasing fresh fish, prawns, muffins or other delights including pineapples filled with fresh fruit. One can never go hungry on Los Ayala beach!

- "We loved staying at Casa Contenta and hope to return again! Every question was answered quickly prior to booking and after. We used Gilberto to pick us up at the airport and upon return, as recommended by Lin. No need for a rental car, everything is within walking distance or Lin is willing to arrange a taxi. We thoroughly enjoyed using the sea kayaks, stand up paddle board, the bikes to tour around and just relaxing on the beach. The care takers, Mari and Samuel, are hard working individuals that keep the property tidy, clean, and functioning. The unit we stayed in was a two bedroom and two bath unit that was fully equipped with everything you need. It was immaculately clean and decorated beautifully. The kitchen was well stocked to get us going for cooking the fresh fish we bought on the beach several mornings. Finally, we can’t say enough good things about Lin and Jim(and Ookie their dog). They were family by the end of our stay. They offered suggestions on places to eat, shop, tour, and insight to the Mexican culture. They invited us out to dinner a few times and they hosted an evening of margaritas with everyone staying on the property. It was fun getting to know all the different people staying at the property throughout our stay. I would definitely stay here again!"

Los Ayala: Our special little town of Los Ayala caters mainly to Mexican tourists but is rapidly being discovered by folks further afield.

There are many palapa style restaurants on the beach, nearby groceries stories and a collective taxi service which will take you to the nearby towns of Rincon de Guayabitos or La Penita. From there, it is easy to catch a bus to Guadalajara, Tepic, Puerto Vallerta or other small towns nearby such as San Francisco or Sayulita which are surfing towns.

On the beach, enjoy purchasing fresh fish, prawns, muffins or other delights including pineapples filled with fresh fruit. One can never go hungry on our beach!

The beach in front is a very sandy, safe, swimming beach. Kayaks, a SUB (stand up paddle board), tennis racquets, golf clubs and bicycles are available for guest use as are beach umbrellas, chairs and beach towels. The beach is a great place to eat! Fresh muffins, cookies, oysters, fish prawns, pineapple filled with fruit, empanadas, nuts, etc. are all available to add to your total enjoyment of our little Mexican pueblo. One cannot go hungry here!

A massage therapist is available at our guests' request for a private in-suite massage at a very reasonable rate and yoga classes nearby. Manicures and pedicures are also available up request.

There are a number of very good restaurants just steps away on our beach specializing in fresh fish, large prawns, tacos, margaritas, piña colladas, and fresh coconuts. In addition, the pueblo of Los Ayala has numerous shops for groceries and souvenirs.

The towns of Rincon de Guayabitos and La Peñita are within walking distance or via collective taxis only 4 blocks away. Puerto Vallarta is an hour distance and the buses leave from La Peñita every 30 minutes. The surfing towns of Sayulita and San Francisco (San Poncho) are 40 minutes away. Taxis are also plentiful and inexpensive.

Parking on our safe street is available. Taxis are plentiful and inexpensive as are the collective taxis 4 blocks away. Buses to Puerto Vallarta leave every 30 minutes or so from La Peñita as well as frequent buses to Guadalajara, Tepic and other parts of Mexico.

- "Reserved and pd in full 12/19/21. Owner said VRBO made error with unit we reserved, it was not available, he would upgrade us into unit Casita Oceana. We arrived on 1/11/22, went to Casita Oceana and saw it was occupied. Lady said she is owners sister and had been staying in Casita Oceana for two weeks, she went to locate Owner. Owner came and lied straight to our faces, told us a Mexican family had just left Casita Oceana a couple days ago, they had plugged up the toilet and his sister and her husband were using their bathroom in their home next door. He didn't know she had already told us they had been staying there for two weeks. He told us he would put us in another Casita, which was not beachfront and had no ocean view. I told him this was not right and we were not happy, he became very aggressive and told us we could JUST LEAVE!! The ad for this property is VERY misleading.. It states that all units are oceanfront and have ocean views, in reality, only the owners unit and Casita Oceana are ocean front with ocean views. They are both two stories tall and block views from the other units which are BEHIND them. Owner told us our little tiny studio unit (where the toilet was just a few feet from the bed!!) has a view if we walk past another units front porch, climb some steep stairs and sit on a patio which seemed to belong to another unit because a lady was sleeping on a couch which was looking out onto this patio! He also states there is parking, but only under coconut trees on a dark street, also there was no microwave as stated in the ad. We wasted the entirety of the next day looking for more comfortable accommodations, we always stay at properties which provide a beautiful ocean view and this property did not. The owner, of course, agreed to refund our full payment since he had double booked both of the units we thought we had reserved. BUT, we were unable to leave a bad review because of VRBOs policies which state you can only leave a review if you stayed in the property, we did stay for one night but because the Owner canceled, we couldn't leave review. We do not agree with VRBOs policies, it is the the second time we have been jilted by a VRBO Owner and now must wonder how many other owners are not being called out for their offenses and more unsuspecting guests are being continually dooped by them. We will no longer be using VRBO, much too much stress when we're supposed to be getting away from it all..."
