The only negative is that you’re about 45 minutes from downtown Puerto Vallarta, but it is easy to Uber if you want a day away from the resort. (Though they did somehow forget to bring kids breakfast but there was plenty of other stuff to eat whilst waiting so no big deal) We did a night in the main hotel in an ocean view room which was nice (but couldn’t see the ocean from the bed which we had been able to in other hotels that used glass screen/metal railings etc on the balcony instead of a wall) and a night in the family selection side. It was nice to get some little gifts in the family selection like bucket/spade, top etc. The beach was better on the main side with some soft sand areas (also some rocks & lots of beautiful shells) the food in the main restaurant was really good too. We were just disappointed we couldn’t get a space in the Japanese restaurant. The pools were warm except the kids pool with the slides (would have thought the kids pool more important to be warm) baby "

I can literally take 10-11 min to go from the back of the property on the 7the floor to the beach; needing to use 2 separate elevators or stairwells and a zig zag of corridors. It was overcast or raining 6/9 days of our PV trip. The water drainage/sitting puddles at the hotel is not great. There was water draining from the ceilings and down some of the walls. Staff did a good job keeping up and keeping everyone safe. We saw whales daily from the beach- was easier to see when overcast out. The wait staff were great! At the buffet MIXTLI was awesome, friendly, great service, felt like she really knew you and loved her job! The front staff, especially CANELO was very helpful and friendly. "

My wife myself, and my 3 year old needed to get a hotel for the night when I opened the Expedia app I saw the Xcoco Inn pop up, and had a same night rate of only $57.00 USD/ night Needless to say I was a little skeptical booking such an inexpensive room. From the time we booked, to our arrival was only 30min. When we arrived at Xcoco Inn the parking was SUPER EASY, and the staff was very very nice. Everything was super clean, and we really really enjoyed our stay. WILL DEFINITELY BOOK AGAIN!"
