The property itself is cute with nice landscaping and exterior. Nice to have parking right at the unit. The unit has a spiral staircase that can be challenging with luggage. WiFi went in and out, seems like we were only able to have 2 devices on it and we were sharing with the neighboring unit. No a/c or heat but they did have blankets for when it got cold at night. There are gaps in the balcony door and some of roof so cold and noises from dogs barking, people outside comes in. Nice to have a shared fridge and kitchen to use along with drinking water available. Hair dryer was available when I asked. Space feels new, still having upgrades such as towel bars put in. If the WiFi was improved and rooms sealed to keep out excess cold/noise I would stay here again. "

'Casa de las Abuelas' is located in the secure, private, gated community of Punto del Burro. It is directly on one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico. It is located 30 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta and is halfway between La Cruz & Punta de Mita.

Our home is four bedrooms/four and one-half baths and can sleep eleven. The home has a private pool. Just added a new outside pizza oven.

The home comes with a staff . We have a staff of three. Juan who does everything, Baly is a chef and her cooking is out of this world. Lucia keeps everything spotless , and together they do everything they can to make your vacation one you will always remember. The home comes with a Suburban for you to drive during your stay. Our single level, 3-bedroom, 3 and 1/2 bath villa is a mere 5 minute walk to the beach! No need for beach towels, beach chairs or umbrellas either. It's all provided.
While staying with us you will enjoy private access to 4 beach clubs, which serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as provide towels, lounge chairs & umbrellas and also offer access to ocean activities and spa treatments. SURF INFO: The main break at Burros is a fast right with a short left. Waves are usually chest high and can easily reach overhead in summer and winter. As access to this beach is not easy this break is the least crowded in the area.

The main peak at the point travels all the way to the front of the house where there is almost always a safe gentle surf for beginners, boogie boarders, body surfers and swimmers while farther out always a good size wave for anyone. Other surf spots nearby: Destiladeras, Punta de Mita, Sayulita, El Coral, Los Veneros, La Lancha,El Faro.

Surfboards, kayaks and SUP are available to rent for a nominal fee. Plenty of boogie boards are available gratis.

Although most people think of visiting during the cooler Winter and Spring months, Casa Rincon is also very beautiful and special during the hotter, wetter Summer months which happen to be our favorite time. The pool provides ideal refreshment, (as well as over 30 fans on the entire property, and air conditioning which we never even use), and all the lush trees provide plenty of shade. What we love more than anything are the exciting lightning and thunder showers, fireflies, fantastic surf, and the vibrant colors of the rainy season. The rains come and go quickly, bringing spectacular sunsets and sunrises, plenty of time in the sun and surf and leaving everything fresh and beautiful. Of course, the Spring and Winter are divine.

- "We were 8 adults and 5 kids from infant to 7. The house was a great fit for all of us, with plenty of bedroom separation. The pictures don't do justice to this incredible property. Not only were we fortunate to have Bersa and Ramiro who provided delicious food and drink, but Anita cleaned the entire house every day. We seriously had our own resort. The neighborhood was amazing. There was a lovely cobblestone bath down to the beach. We had hoped to boogie board...but there are sea urchins and coral which made it difficult for the little kids but they were happy playing in the sand and taking walks and collecting shells. Most days we had the beach to ourselves. The owners are in the process of selling this remarkable property. The new owners will continue to rent along with keeping the fabulous staff. Ramiro even picked us up a pinata with candy. So much fun for everyone! -----THE VILLA-----
OVERVIEW
Casa Joya Del Mar is a private home vacation rental located inside the gates of prestigious Lagos Del Mar Estates of Punta Mita. We are only 45 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta, overlooking the Banderas Bay. Our home has 6 bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, and can sleep up to 16 comfortably. This luxurious 9,500+ sq. ft. executive villa is on the Punta Mita's Four Seasons Jack Nicklaus seventh fairway, only 150 yards from the beach, with ocean and golf course views from the four master suites.

As of October 2022, our neighbor next door began construction on a new house. While we do not anticipate any material construction noise or nuisance, we feel it appropriate to let our guests know. We have tall areca palm trees between our lot (#2) and lot #3. There is also a small road between the lots, and a required fence surrounding lot #3. Workers doing the construction cannot view our guests. They are not supposed to make noise before 8 a.m. or after 6 p.m. and do not work on Saturdays or Sundays. In the unlikely event our guests find any issues with the next door construction, they should immediately advise our house concierge.

DINING
Our staff will prepare and serve you breakfast and lunch. You pay for all food and beverages. For the evening meal, if you wish, we can arrange for a professional chef. You can pay him directly for his services ($175 per night, plus tips). Again, you pay for food and beverages. Choices for on-site dining include the large quartz island in the kitchen, an indoor large formal dining area, the outside dining area on the covered veranda, or under the pergola by the pool and BBQ. There are plenty of great restaurants both inside and just outside the Punta Mita gates.

ENTERTAINMENT
The house has flat screen TV's in each bedroom, plus the media room and game room. High-speed fiber optic Wi-Fi is also available, free of charge. The fitness room has an elliptical, treadmill and stationary bike, plus free weights and a TV. We can also set up our ping pong table and play cornhole anytime. The media room also has has a desk and printer for anyone needing to squeeze in some office work.

GUEST SUITES
This Punta Mita vacation rental has four large master suites, plus a mini suite and a smaller bedroom for kids with four bunk beds. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and shower:
• Bali Master Suite - Sleeps 2 in a king bed
• Cayman Suite - Sleeps 2 in a king bed, plus up to 2 in a twin trundle bed
• Granada Suite - Sleeps 2 in a king bed
• Shanghai Suite - Sleeps up to 4 in two queen beds
• Kauai Mini Suite - Sleeps up to 4 in two queen beds
• Bunk Room - Sleeps up to 4 children or teenagers
All beds have high-end mattresses and linens. Bathrooms have fluffy towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hair dryers. Maximum occupancy is 16. Additional guests must have approval from the Property Manager. There may be an additional cost for more than 16 guests as we may need to temporarily hire additional staff.

KITCHEN
The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with beautiful solid wood cabinetry and Wolf and Sub-Zero stainless steel appliances. The large quartz island has seating for 8.

OUTDOOR AREAS
Enjoy swimming in a spacious heated infinity pool with three levels. Relax in the Jacuzzi overlooking the golf course and the ocean.

VIEWS
Our Punta Mita vacation rental has beautiful whitewater beach views. The waves crashing on the shore are visible from inside all four master suites as well as the living area and pool area.

CONCIERGE
Francisco (our house concierge) will arrange airport pick up and drop off with a professional transportation agency, usually in a large sprinter van. If you need additional vehicles he will make arrangements for you at your expense. He will do pre-arrival grocery shopping, and can arrange any activities or day trips you'd like to do while staying at our home, such as in-house massages, deep-sea fishing, whale watching, zip-lining, etc. There is no additional fee for pantry restocks or grocery shopping; we charge only for the cost of the food and gas for the shopping expenses.

VILLA STAFF
This vacation rental in Punta Mita comes with a villa staff of five. Odaris is both the housekeeper and cook. Francisco will greet you at the house upon arrival. He has been the concierge at Casa Joya Del Mar for over 16 years and will orient you to Punta Mita. Rosa helps with daily housekeeping and laundry. Our professional chef (Israel) has worked for the Four Seasons and his assistant (Karina) prepare breakfast and lunch on Sundays when Odaris and Francisco take time off to be with their families. Israel can prepare the dinner meal at the request of the guests for a fee.

GETTING AROUND
You are welcome to use our suburban or two golf carts (4-passenger and 6-passenger) inside the gated community of Punta Mita. All drivers of the golf carts and car must have a valid driver's license.

One of the many Punta Mita walking paths will take you to the small village where you can find many outstanding beach side restaurants, or do a little shopping.

PACIFICO BEACH CLUB
The Pacifico Beach Club has been recently remodeled in the last few years:
Closest to the villa and the Four Seasons resort, the Pacifico Beach Club overlooks the Pacific Ocean and the famous “Tail of the Whale” – a natural ocean green – hole 3B! This beautiful beach club features both beach and poolside chaise lounges and a wonderful restaurant. The sunsets here are incredible.

The children’s pool has shade and features lush greenery which is so lovely in this part of Mexico. Rentals:
Also available to rent for a nominal fee are: boogie, surf, or paddle boards, and kayaks. If you feel the need to unwind, there are private cabanas where you can enjoy a relaxing massage as you listen to the soothing sounds of the surf.

ST. REGIS SEA BREEZE BEACH CLUB
The St. Regis Beach Club offers our visitors another choice for luxury and relaxation.

You can dine underneath their palapa style bar area or at their casual dining restaurant with any one of their sumptuous menu choices, such as wood fired pizzas or the fresh catch of the day. Once you become acquainted with this lovely facility and their many amenities, you will find it a welcome treat for you, family, and friends. The St. Regis Beach Club anticipates that Premier Club access will include food and beverage service as compensation that they require for use of the facilities for children and adults. The fees can be offset based on food and beverages served.

The Kupuri Beach Club enjoys exceptional views of the long, white sandy beach overlooking Litibu Bay. Featuring daily lunch and bar, you will enjoy this breathtaking scenery and want to return often to this beautiful place. There is a large infinity pool, swings at the bar, and soft sand perfect for long strolls while you drop off the small children at the Kid's Club for supervised activities. Kids will want to return frequently.

SUFI OCEAN CLUB
A large, sparkling saltwater pool is the centerpiece, with wooden cabanas and daybeds, outdoor showers, and access to the Pier and beach. Enjoy aquatic adventures and delicious food and beverages at Sufito's restaurant.

EL SURF CLUB
The newest amenity at Punta Mita is the Surf Club located at one of the famous surf breaks north of Ranchos Estates. It's a great beach for beginner surfers to learn! There is also a rustic restaurant serving great tacos and other specialties and drinks for you to enjoy when not catching the waves. There is an entry fee per person but it is worth it if you enjoy surfing or would like to learn.

We had 12 people, and a mix of adults, teens and kids, and there was always a place for everyone to enjoy themselves and enough space for privacy if needed. The house pool is incredible. The beaches were easy to get to with the golf carts, and we also took a fishing trip that departed from the nearby town (10 min away). I can’t say enough about the staff at the house. Francisco was friendly, responsive and very helpful from our arrival to the departure. Israel is an incredible chef, who was very accommodating, making sure even picky young eaters had something they liked. He was so good we decided to have every dinner in the house. Reina attends to the house with loving care and is a master at individualized bed creations that seem to be the first topic of conversation at the breakfast table each morning. Carlos keeps the facilities running smoothly, with professional efficiency and highest reliability, and a contagious personality. However, it is misleading to label the staff individually. They work as a team, filling in where needed, with one goal in mind: creating an exceptional and very permanent experience for all our guests.
The Villa itself is beautifully appointed with fountains, garden pathways, perfect niches, spectacular courtyards, patios and a warm common area. The smallest of the bedroom suites is over 1,000 s/f, and all come with indoor and outdoor showers. All bedrooms have outdoor beds and/or hammocks for daytime naps or nighttime sleeping to the sound of the waves. The master bedroom complex is nearly 2,000 s/f indoors, and 1,000 s/f outdoors, with one huge veranda overlooking the ocean and another above the tranquil inner courtyard. Renowned architect Jose Vigil (www.jvas.net) does a masterful job of creating and then bringing together all these extraordinary spaces in a way that that manages to make a decadent Villa complex into a very warm home.
The staff enjoys providing different dining experiences each evening in the many elegant spaces of the Villa. One night a torch-lit dinner on the beach, the next a rooftop star-gazing dinner, then maybe on the new ocean viewing patio/fireplace area, still another in the courtyard by the fountain, and of course, dinner poolside. The table detail is amazing for each dinner. Bring your camera!

- "Travel: The staff at luna Mar picked us up at the airport, brought us into town on request, and coordinated activities outside of the villa. We did not have to worry about transportation/logistics for any part of the trip! Food: The staff set the table beautifully (even coordinated the napkins and decorations with the meal). All allergies and food preferences were accommodated (vegetarian)! I could tell that all the elements of each meal were prepared fresh. We opted for Mexican style cuisine and asked to be surprised at each meal. Standouts for me were: chilaquiles, homemade salsa verde, mushroom pasta, mahi mahi with green sauce, key lime pie, handmade tortillas. I normally experience digestive issues but because the food was so fresh and made from scratch, my stomach didn't bother me at all! Service: Outstanding. Ismael is a professional bartender who can make any drink and even treated us to a strawberry mojito that he created himself! The staff went out of their way to ensure that we did not have to lift a finger. The staff who cleaned the rooms were absolute ninjas and timed the cleaning when we were out. Laundry was done same day within ~6 hours. There is not a single thing I think they could have done better-- the staff are true professionals. Also I found Ismael especially to be friendly and patient with my utter lack of Spanish. Venue: I am moderately germaphobic. The villa is extraordinarily clean. No dust, no dirt in any corner, so I was able to fully relax here. There is a short path around the house that you can walk through that has some beautiful vegetation. Even though there are multiple properties along this coast, you can't hear or see anything from the houses next door so you have full privacy. Overall: If I could afford to come back here every year or twice a year I would. I don't have any complaints or even suggestions for improvement because it was so perfect. (Also whoever chooses the art has GREAT taste; I loved all the paintings in the house.)"

- "It was a wonderful location and villa. We had 7 adults and 5 older teens. Punta Mita beach clubs are excellent. The tennis center with pickleball courts was nice & we used it everyday. The fitness center is an additional charge which we didn’t know. And as renters, you’re not allowed access until noon which I thought was absurd if you’re paying to have access to it. We had ChefRick as the cooks for breakfast everyday & dinner 3 nights. Daniel and Alejandro were excellent! The food was delicious and better than anything we ate out at the beach clubs or at the town restaurants."

In Spanish Puerto Escondido means hidden port. The name well describes this unique town. Puerto is located on the Pacific coast in the southern part of Mexico. There aren't any large or all-inclusive mega hotels, so you won't find hoards of rude tourists. Puerto has incredibly beautiful beaches. It also has a large and popular market. In the market you will find seafood caught that morning. As well, there is always an abundant assortment of fruits and vegetables that are locally grown or come from farms up the coast and mountain villages. The coffee comes from nearby mountain plantations and couldn't be more fresh and fragrant.

The dry season is from November to April. During these months you will enjoy perfectly sunny days. Many surfers come in the summer for the 'epic' waves. Numerous other visitors come in the summer because of the amazing vegetation that grows that time of the year. The temperature of the ocean is always warm ranging from 26-30°C (79-86°F).

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO

Full access to the Four Seasons Hotel includes access to restaurants, spa, gym, kids club, pools, beaches, Lazy River, tennis, and shops. Guests can call the Four Seasons Hotel for room service, concierge, bell services, spa reservations and more. 
As a privately owned Four Seasons villa, all requirements related to the running of the villa should be communicated to the local ambassador and/or private housekeeper otherwise any additional housekeeping services or requests made directly to the hotel will be charged separately by the hotel.
Please note that Club Punta Mita membership grants access to areas that are otherwise restricted; fees, rental charges and costs for services and consumption may apply.
Visitors traveling with children should note that a hacienda style courtyard provides entrance to guest bedrooms 3, 4 and 5.
The pool heater and jacuzzi share a boiler, with timed operation: pool heats by day, jacuzzi by evening.

The Hostess, Julia, answered questions in a very quick manner and helped us with our odds and ends." - "The villa is exactly as advertised, and the Four Seasons is a terrific property. The view was a nice bonus. Everything was in good order. The trip concierge's team appeared magically every morning to make breakfast (so good and so much that no one really ate lunch). We highly recommend renting golf carts and making dinner reservations early. Also, its important to be registered with the Four Seasons, so that you have access to the FS chat with concierge function. We had a slightly larger villa last year, but this - while quite spacious - actually seemed better appointed to us (the office area in the master suite was very helpful)."
