- "We had a great week at the Villa in Paraiso Del Mar! Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, dolphins swimming past, an epic time overall! Pros: -Villa has a great layout and plenty of space for our group of 7. -Lots of great outdoor space to enjoy sunrises and sunsets! -Incredible access to the beach! -Comfy beds Cons: -Only one set of sheets/towels so doing laundry mid trip was a must. -Mosquitoes (not a fault of the villa obviously) were AWFUL. We were eaten alive before 11am and after 6pm every day (even through bug spray and multiple cans of Raid. -Pool pump does not appear to be working properly and the patio floods almost instantly upon entering the pool. This just adds to the above mentioned mosquito issue. Final issue we had was with communication with Rueben (house manager) it was spotty and delayed prior to our arrival and did not get much better after we arrived. I’m not sure if he was just having a busy week and I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt. I am intentionally saving the absolute best for last because she deserves every second of gratitude we can give. We opted for the chef services for breakfast and dinner every day and Haydee knocked it out of the park!! I mean she literally killed it. She was prompt, kind, patient with our horrible Spanish and an 8 year old picky eater, and all with a big smile. We already miss her!! Her sister, Griselda, was there to help out a couple of the days and she was also incredible! We are so thankful!"

There are 3 bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. The first bedroom has a Cal King bed, the second bedroom has 2 Queen sized beds and the third room we call the Bunk Room. It has 2 sets of bunk beds that hold 4 twin beds. We have sleeping accommodations for 10 but the maximum capacity for adults is 8 and there is a fee for over 6 guests. Dogs are allowed at $20/day per dog - absolutely no cats, an owner is allergic. Dog waste bags, water/food dishes, doggie bed, shampoo/towel and toys are available in the unit for your use.

The Paraiso community has many benefits available to you during your stay including access to the guest boat for transportation to and from town, the van shuttle throughout the community and usage of the Paraiso bicycles. Unit D102 has kayaks and paddleboards available for check out to guests, a market for any last minute needs and a workout room. You can also find Hilda, our concierge, available to book trips to local islands, whale watching or suggest a restaurant. There are 2 restaurants on site - the Survivor Bar is located at the pool and is open for lunch and dinner, while the Hoyo 19 Restaurant at the Golf Course is open for breakfast and lunch. Both restaurants are run by Sergio, our well sought after chef. Look for him on the transportation boat bringing in the catch of the day and fresh produce. Catch your own? Either restaurant will gladly prepare any fish you may have caught during your stay. Last but certainly not least of all, the community has it's own Arthur Hills 18-hole golf course run by Marcos. Check the prices but last I heard you could get a round of golf, club rental and a golf cart for $60.

Villa Colonial is 4000 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space situated in the Sea of Cortez on 'El Mogote' in Paraiso del Mar's new private resort development.

It is a beautifully furnished 4 bedroom home including a detached one-bedroom casita that is perfect for a couple or 2 to 3 families who want to relax after a day of golf, fishing, boating, tennis, and shopping to name a few.

The home is the largest of the models in the development. The Buffalo is right next door and a stroll down the beach is 1535. We have two on top sea kayaks that you can use included with the rental of the home. Welcome to Casa Doble!

Our house is situated at Puerta Cortés Resort, 3 miles north of the city of La Paz. We're part of a small, gated cluster of homes on a hillside above the marina, nestled amidst the fairways of the stunning Gary Player signature golf course. Over looking the Sea of Cortez and the city of La Paz, the house itself is a detached 3 bedroom 2 bathroom fully furnished home decorated in the Mexican tradition.

The master bed room has a king sized bed from which you can see the ocean and mountains without even lifting your head off the pillow. The same is true from the ensuite Jacuzzi bathtub. The rest of the ensuite comprises of double sink vanity, a tiled rain shower and a separate toilet room. There is also a walk in closet.

The second bedroom is a bright and spacious room with a queen sized bed and walk in closet.

The third bedroom also has a queen sized bed and affords access on to the pergola covered, centre courtyard with views through the living room of the Sea of Cortez.

The second bath room, with shower, is adjacent to the two queen bedrooms. Laundry area is appointed with a washer / dryer, ironing board and other necessities.

The kitchen is furnished in stainless and granite. It is completely outfitted for day to day living with a side by side fridge and freezer, microwave, dishwasher, glass stove top and oven. The dining room has seating for 8 and a buffet.

The living room consists of a large sectional couch accompanied by a club chair, an entertainment centre with a small library of books, a 42” flat screen HD TV, iTV box, allowing your to watch TV shows and movies, DVD player and wireless internet

All rooms have independent air conditioning and ceiling fans for your comfort. The courtyard with its pergola and ceiling fan makes for a lovely shaded place to sit and read a book or sip a morning coffee.

The large terrace that extends the length of the house, has patio door access from both the living room and master bedroom. It has one of the most beautiful views in La Paz, over looking the Sea of Cortez.. As Jack Cousteau named it” the Aquarium of the world”. It is not unusual to see dolphin swimming by on a still, flat morning.

Open the gate at the end of the terrace and you have access to a lovely manicured green lawn to do your morning stretching or yoga. Steps away from the terrace you can go for a swim in the 25 meter infinity pool or just relax on one of the chaise lounges.

The service and quality at the club are really great. The restaurants in the marina are good. We particularly liked the Spanish restaurant for the quality of the food, the wine selections, service and entertainment. We’d suggest getting a car, especially if it’s a hotter month, because it’s a little bit of a walk down to the marina/beach. You can also use the car to go down there easily, and Balandra Beach is about 15 minutes from the place. There is also a nice palapa at Playa El Tesoro for some local food."

The sunrises are possibly the prettiest you have ever seen, and different every single day. The beach is only a few steps from the house, and very private.
Centrally located only a few steps from Star Market, OXXO, KM0, Baja Bites, Nomada restaurant, Renaissance coffee and more. The moment you arrive at Casa Carolina, you don't have to drive to anywhere.

If you are into water sports, this is the destination for you.
During the months of November to March this is the place to be to windsurf, kitesurf, wingfoil, or even wakeboard behind a boat or ski when there is no wind.

Fishing is out of this world, either straight off the beach or through a fishing charter nearby.

Eduardo was very responsive and super helpful in planning adventures during our stay. We loved the "compound" as we called it, very safe and private. As mentioned in the ad, the pool is quite cold and the wind really does howl through here. We definitely want to come back and spend a week just learning to kite surf."

- "Just returned from a wonderful two week stay at Casa Carolina with my wife and young kids. Our number one priority when choosing a vacation house is to find somewhere that we don't need or want to leave because we have everything we need right there. This place fits the bill. A secure property filled with lush tropical landscaping, house stocked with everything we need, lots of stuff for the kids to play with and a pool that is absolutely wonderful. Even on windy days that the kiters love, this location stays calm and cool. The amenities of the house are well thought out, especially for families with small kids. Tons of books, games, legos, pool toys, basketball court and a trampoline will guarantee mom and dad get time to relax without hearing the last thing you want to hear on vacation: "I'm bored". Quiet neighborhood that is central to a bunch of good restaurants, markets and activities. Highly recommend Baja Bites, Casa Xolo, La Tuna and Pitya Farm to Table for excellent food options. Don't miss the ice cream from the stand by the beach next to La Tuna as well! Edouard was great to work with and quick to respond to any questions or requests. - "We picked Juan’s property for its central location, beach access and swimming pool and enjoyed all of these amenities. The house is perfect for large groups with so many en-suite bedrooms. There is quite a bit of deferred maintenance, but nothing that negatively impacted our use or enjoyment of the space. Juan is a very responsive and friendly host.
