- "We absolutely loved our stay at this place. The owner, Alejandro, was very communicative (WhatsApp is best) and helpful. There was a cost discrepancy with the housecleaning, and he fixed it immediately. The place is a bit difficult to navigate if you don't have a car- getting groceries and liquor and drinking water was a bit of a trial, but the public busses pass by and go into town pretty regularly. The taxis waiting outside the complex will charge much more than Uber, although Uber will take longer to get to you- but what's an extra 15 mins when you're on vacation, right? Heads up- the restaurant right next door is somewhat expensive AND only takes cash, so plan accordingly. I HIGHLY recommend hiring Conchita, a professional chef who prepared absolutely stunning and delicious meals for us. Alejandro put us in touch with her and it absolutely made our vacation. The beach in front of the house is not good for swimming, but we didn't even miss it because the multiple pools are so great. And there are pelicans right there ALL THE TIME!! It was so cool to watch them dive for their breakfast. I would definitely rent this place again- it is a perfect 8-person house."

Oceanfront with a good size pool, spacious rooms with large beds are the pluses. If I had to choose a negative it would be the location if you want to to do a lot of beach walking or walk to nearest towns of Bucerias and LaCruz. No swimmable beach near and only walkable at low tide. However certainly not a deal breaker . It fit our needs perfectly."

Shower was hot, bed super comfy, rivaling our own at home. The view of the Bay was mesmerizing, day and night. Neighboring roosters added a touch of Mexico, (but bring earplugs for the dog barking chorus down the street.) The hill is steep but a short block, we walked it twice a day. Peaceful La Cruz is far nicer than crowded, touristy Puerto Vallarta. Sunday's market is not to be missed. The pool was the highlight, and we floated away many afternoons, enjoying this bit of paradise. Thanks to Maribel and Luis for helping with everything. You can't go wrong by booking a stay here."

Just 3 km further up the coast is the town of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle Riviera Nayarit. La Cruz, an authentic Mexican fishing village for generations, is now modernizing with the construction of the Riviera Nayarit Marina - the largest and most modern in the area. Head to the Marina for deep sea fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, dinner and drinks at the Sky Bar or simply exploring the Sunday market at the pier.

Further up the coast, check out the surfing in Sayulita and the quaint town of San Pancho which is considered the cultural capitol of Riviera Nayarit and famous for their Huichol handicrafts.

Heading back towards Nuevo Vallarta and Puerto Vallarta, spend the day at the Aquaventures water park and Dolphin Discovery park … only about 30 min away! Downtown Puerto Vallarta and Zona Romantica are an easy 45 minute drive or Uber/taxi ride.

Punta Esmeralda is a private community for owners and their guests only. Guests staying at Villa Paraiso 2 must be registered with Condominio Punta Esmeralda through the Host/Owner. No unregistered guests will be allowed past the security gate.

The Villa is 4430 square feet (411 square meters) on two levels. On the entry level is an open concept living room, dining room and kitchen that open up to an expansive terrace with a private plunge pool and spectacular ocean views. On this same level is also a generously sized bedroom and full bath. Downstairs are the remaining two bedrooms each with private en-suite bathrooms as well as ocean views making this place the perfect rental for two couples.

Villa Paraiso faces South/Southwest so you'll get to enjoy both stunning sunrises and colorful sunsets! In the morning, step out onto the terrace to enjoy the sunrise and cooling breezes from the Bay while you savor your morning coffee or tea. As the sun reaches mid-day, grab some sun on the lounge chairs before heading out to one of the other larger pools or the Beach Club. Then in the evening, regroup on the terrace to enjoy a beverage and snack while deciding where to go for diner..

When you are ready to reconnect to the world, join our WiFi network to catch up on a few emails or upload photos to make your social media followers jealous. In the living room, indulge by binging the next season of your favorite show. If you enjoy preparing a meal, the kitchen is also well equipped and there is a barbeque grill on the balcony; otherwise, you can have room service delivery from the on-site restaurant.

Downstairs with the bedrooms is also a covered outdoor patio with great ocean views and privacy for a place to retreat and relax with a good book and the soft ocean breeze as your only companions.

My only caution would be if you have any issues with stairs or roosters. This property is located on a steep hill and there are several stairs one has to climb to access the space, and as is true for many places in Mexico - a tightly knit commumity of roosters live amongst the homes on the hill."

The pool is deep enough to swim but perfect for children too, although we spent most of the time swimming in the ocean which is calm without any current undertow. The apartment is within short walking distance of the beach/bus stops (5mins) and the marina and center (10mins) and the property is well managed with lots of friendly families around and pleasant staff managing the gate, etc. The host lives locally and helped us with basic inquiries and couldn't have been nicer during our stay. - "Great location for a large group to be able to enjoy the beach, multiple pools, and shared space in the house for dinners, games and movies" - "Property was very spacious and functional for a 3 generation family gathering. The access to the beach club was really important for our group and we used cabs and Uber for most of our outings. Given the location, many people might choose to rent vehicles to improve their mobility and access to other attractions and restaurants. Kids enjoyed the beach club but got bored a bit. Spacious bedrooms and showers. Overall, sleeping options were great for our group. Outside pool was small but very useful and was well maintained. Our main problem was that the water supply cut off several times and we required plumbing assistance. We are not sure what the cause was but the manager was very helpful. We assume that this problem will be rectified. Overall, we had a great family holiday. "

- "The house we stayed in was fine. It was a bit out of the way and difficult to get taxis. Sometimes they just wouldn’t come. If you went to the restaurant they wouldn’t let you back through the pool area to get to your home. That meant you had to walk all the way on a busy street in the dark. It’s ok if you were to rent a car but otherwise it was difficult. Would likely not go to that area again as beach is dirty . Weather was good but it would not make me return again.We stayed three weeks and it was too long. There was no gas bbq which meant too difficult to bbq. "

- "Three of us recently spent a week at Casa Tabachines while visiting friends with a boat in the marina. This very unique three-bedroom villa offered the perfect blend of comfort, charm, and convenience for our group. The property is situated in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk from the cute downtown and marina, making it easy to explore the local area; no need to rent a car. A small bodega and expansive fish market is just at the bottom of the stairs around the corner from the property. The well-maintained and gorgeous pool area provided a daily hangout and refreshing escape from the hot weather. The large covered patio was perfect for dining and relaxing with plenty of comfortable seating. The bedrooms were authentically decorated, offered plenty of space, and each had their own bathroom. Also, each had its own AC unit which really helped to cool things down at the end of the day. The home was also equipped with high-speed internet and a large kitchen. The oversized Bluetooth-capable speaker was a nice addition. Ana was super responsive whenever we needed to contact her. Their place was perfect for our stay in La Cruz."

- "The pictures don’t do justice to this gorgeous property. The house is absolutely beautiful. It is very open and spacious. We rented the whole house for our family of seven and we had plenty of space. The bedrooms are all a nice size with air conditioning and lots of natural light. The house seemed to be enveloped by a luscious tropical garden that was well kept. The owner Paul and his staff Luis Ángel and Maribel are upstanding. They were all eager to help with recommendations and reservations to restaurants and tours. The house runs like a very upscale B&B . We had Maribel cook us a traditional Mexican breakfast every morning. It was a treat to wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice every morning. The view of the Bay of Banderas from every room in the house is breathtaking! Spectacular sunrises every morning. The town of la Cruz is very typical and we all felt very safe . The house has 24/7 security but Our family didn’t find it necessary.We walked every where night and day to go to the public beach and to the restaurants. There are many restaurants in la Cruz from fancy to family own stalls on the side of the streets. We tried them all and enjoyed the experiences. My kids aged 28,27,20,18 told me that this was the best vacation ever! And I totally agree."

- "Great location. Beautiful spot and pictures are accurate. Would stay again" - "The unit was beautiful and the view was even better! Access to the restaurant was a plus! This complex has a very strict policy of no noise after 10 pm. We have family that live in the same complex and had them over after dinner on our first evening and received a complaint for noise. This threw a wrench in our after dinner plans for the remainder of the trip. The reason for 4 stars overall would be cleanliness. The shower doors needed work with the soap scum, the floors didn’t seem clean, the deck definitely needs upgraded with loose, splintering boards, ceiling fans had a lot of dust buildup and upon leaving when I stripped the sheets from the master bed, the mattress was pretty old and discolored. May seem like little things but shouldn’t happen at this price point. Another problem was the elevator didn’t work for the week of our stay…we had to carry a 50 pound piece of luggage up about 60 steps…and also climb these stairs every time we left. We could do that, but for someone who may be handicapped, this should be disclosed in property information. Overall, for the price that we paid and the problems we encountered with noise, cleanliness, etc. there are probably better options for the money. Host and assistant were friendly and very responsive to messages throughout the process. Everyone we encountered that worked for the property were outstanding and service was great! "

- "We stayed at Casa Agua for 5 days in April 2023. This property is great for multiple families as it has 4 separate bedrooms (3 of which are basically individual master suites). I would note that each bedroom is on separate levels of the property, so, while this provides lots of privacy, it can be a challenge if your group has smaller children who want to use the smaller bedroom with two queen beds as that room is on the lowest level of the property and is somewhat removed from the living area. The property has incredible views of the bay and Puerto Vallarta at night, and the walk down to the beach club is a breeze (golf cart is also included regardless). Our concierge (Mario) was incredibly helpful and responsive to our requests, and he came by to check on us daily. Finally, I would highly recommend the daily breakfast preparation! We will be back (most likely for an adult trip as the house provides lots of privacy for each guest)."
