- "We absolutely loved our stay at this place. The owner, Alejandro, was very communicative (WhatsApp is best) and helpful. There was a cost discrepancy with the housecleaning, and he fixed it immediately. The place is a bit difficult to navigate if you don't have a car- getting groceries and liquor and drinking water was a bit of a trial, but the public busses pass by and go into town pretty regularly. The taxis waiting outside the complex will charge much more than Uber, although Uber will take longer to get to you- but what's an extra 15 mins when you're on vacation, right? Heads up- the restaurant right next door is somewhat expensive AND only takes cash, so plan accordingly. I HIGHLY recommend hiring Conchita, a professional chef who prepared absolutely stunning and delicious meals for us. Alejandro put us in touch with her and it absolutely made our vacation. The beach in front of the house is not good for swimming, but we didn't even miss it because the multiple pools are so great. And there are pelicans right there ALL THE TIME!! It was so cool to watch them dive for their breakfast. I would definitely rent this place again- it is a perfect 8-person house."

Oceanfront with a good size pool, spacious rooms with large beds are the pluses. If I had to choose a negative it would be the location if you want to to do a lot of beach walking or walk to nearest towns of Bucerias and LaCruz. No swimmable beach near and only walkable at low tide. However certainly not a deal breaker . It fit our needs perfectly."

Shower was hot, bed super comfy, rivaling our own at home. The view of the Bay was mesmerizing, day and night. Neighboring roosters added a touch of Mexico, (but bring earplugs for the dog barking chorus down the street.) The hill is steep but a short block, we walked it twice a day. Peaceful La Cruz is far nicer than crowded, touristy Puerto Vallarta. Sunday's market is not to be missed. The pool was the highlight, and we floated away many afternoons, enjoying this bit of paradise. Thanks to Maribel and Luis for helping with everything. You can't go wrong by booking a stay here."

Just 3 km further up the coast is the town of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle Riviera Nayarit. La Cruz, an authentic Mexican fishing village for generations, is now modernizing with the construction of the Riviera Nayarit Marina - the largest and most modern in the area. Head to the Marina for deep sea fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, dinner and drinks at the Sky Bar or simply exploring the Sunday market at the pier.

Further up the coast, check out the surfing in Sayulita and the quaint town of San Pancho which is considered the cultural capitol of Riviera Nayarit and famous for their Huichol handicrafts.

Punta Esmeralda is a private community for owners and their guests only. Guests staying at Villa Paraiso 2 must be registered with Condominio Punta Esmeralda through the Host/Owner. No unregistered guests will be allowed past the security gate.

The Villa is 4430 square feet (411 square meters) on two levels. On the entry level is an open concept living room, dining room and kitchen that open up to an expansive terrace with a private plunge pool and spectacular ocean views. On this same level is also a generously sized bedroom and full bath. Downstairs are the remaining two bedrooms each with private en-suite bathrooms as well as ocean views making this place the perfect rental for two couples.

Villa Paraiso faces South/Southwest so you'll get to enjoy both stunning sunrises and colorful sunsets! In the morning, step out onto the terrace to enjoy the sunrise and cooling breezes from the Bay while you savor your morning coffee or tea. As the sun reaches mid-day, grab some sun on the lounge chairs before heading out to one of the other larger pools or the Beach Club. Then in the evening, regroup on the terrace to enjoy a beverage and snack while deciding where to go for diner..

When you are ready to reconnect to the world, join our WiFi network to catch up on a few emails or upload photos to make your social media followers jealous. In the living room, indulge by binging the next season of your favorite show. If you enjoy preparing a meal, the kitchen is also well equipped and there is a barbeque grill on the balcony; otherwise, you can have room service delivery from the on-site restaurant.

On a hillside over looking Bandera Bay and the Riviera Nayarit marina in the distance, this accommodation has a complete kitchen and a large shower bath with double sinks and private toilet room. Our housekeepers attends to you needs, the grounds keeps maintain the pool and common areas for your enjoyment. We are very careful about disinfectants and careful washing of our quality linens. Wifi and 55" TV for your enjoyment are only a part of our amenities.

And there is a pool which provided a great place to dip in the afternoon. We had our two small dogs with us and they were safe inside the fenced property. My only caution would be if you have any issues with stairs or roosters. This property is located on a steep hill and there are several stairs one has to climb to access the space, and as is true for many places in Mexico - a tightly knit commumity of roosters live amongst the homes on the hill."

- "We really enjoyed our stay at Michele's property on a week getaway to La Cruz. The apartment was exactly as described with all amenities working and clean, bright and accessible. There were lots of towels, linens and spare toiletries left out. The space is well-aired and the AC wasn't needed with the nice breezes instead. The king size bed is nicely firm and the other two twin beds are fine for children or young adults. The pool is deep enough to swim but perfect for children too, although we spent most of the time swimming in the ocean which is calm without any current undertow. The apartment is within short walking distance of the beach/bus stops (5mins) and the marina and center (10mins) and the property is well managed with lots of friendly families around and pleasant staff managing the gate, etc. The host lives locally and helped us with basic inquiries and couldn't have been nicer during our stay.
