- "Marketed differently, the Sandcastle could be a tourism attraction on it's own right - an architectural passion project of an eccentric millionaire. Let me just say that the photos - which are great - simply don't do the actual property justice. This is a place you need to actually see to believe. For starters, they don't begin to capture the scale of the building and the grounds. It's huge. We were at guest capacity and never felt crowded. Between gazebos, nooks and patios there were plenty of places to get away. The grounds themselves were huge and wonderfully maintained. Secondly, the photos don't give a sense of the functionality. For a unique property like this, form can often come at the expense of usability, but here everything from the kitchen to the stairs and pool deck just made sense. Third, the staff and crew were great. We were welcomed with a bottle of tequila (a great surprise after a long day of travel), and our property manager. At all times there was on-site security at the gatehouse and walking the grounds. Maintenance and hospitality were also present at various times to turn things over and make sure everything was working. Even with them there, we always felt private. Overall, a great experience. Everyone felt very safe and really loved the Sandcastle. Wonderful memories. If there was one nitpick, the cost difference for additional guests is pretty high - the difference between, say 14 guests and 16 or 18 shouldn't add as much as it does."

"There are no words grandiose enough to describe our experience at the Delfin Estate. From the moment we arrived at the airport, we were greeted with the utmost service. Ray drove us to the house and provided beverages along the way. He also gave us advice about where to go in Mazatlán. - "The property is in a fantastic location. Something for everyone to do. When 11 adults and 4 littles go on vacation it’s hard to please everyone. The location allowed for everyone to go their own direction and meet back at the house. Let me tell you the pool was a life saver, the kids were easy to please with a private pool on site. The villa is 2,700 square feet A/C with another 150 feet of covered outdoor space. Each bedroom has its own plasma TV, plus an additional plasma TV in the main living area. The villa additionally has its own private pool and private spa overlooking the Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay golf course. Private massage services available in your private villa. Emerald Bay has many miles of pristine beaches.

The resort was clean, comfortable and the staff was very friendly. This unit is an end unit which was very nice. Having the privacy on one side was great. - "Though this was in a great location, it was seriously lacking. We received maid service for our unit was one day only, while other friend's unit was cleaned daily. We had to go to front desk for toilet paper more than once, as they didn't regularly clean our unit. No wash clothes in unit so had to request those. They tell you you have to wash the dishes, but provide NO dish towels or dish clothes, dish soap or even a plug for the kitchen sink! We had ants all over in the bathrooms. The living furniture was unbearably hard and nearly impossible to sit on. The pool was not heated so you couldn't use it...plus it had a garden hose running into it constantly...how in the world did they manage the chemicals needed for a pool? Hot tub was not heated and water cloudy. Our door did not lock properly, so anyone could enter without a key. Housing staff spoke NO English so communicating them was impossible. Overall updating of units seriously needed as they are in poor repair and not maintained. The only saving grace was the bar/restaurant. That staff was wonderful, the margaritas outstanding, and the free breakfast was delicious. I would not stay at this VRBO again."

- "I was in Mazatlán and I came across this property. There was no days blocked off on the calendar for the days I chose to stay so I booked it. I paid just shy of 2900.00 and after the payment was accepted the host messaged me and said that I cannot have the house as there is already people staying at this house. Well I booked this house on December 3rd and because I booked it within the 24hr time frame I couldn’t cancel. So I have been back and forth with VRBO about this issue. It is now December 29th and I still have not received my money back and the host has not reversed the charges. This is a dishonest person so be aware of doing business with this person."

Emerald Estates by Pueblo Bonito is a 20-acre, 5-star, luxury resort featuring a world-class spa, multiple massive pool, tennis courts and a private beach. The Master Suite features a massive jacuzzi tub that accommodates two adults (or a half-dozen kids) easily. The staff at the resort is phenomenal. Many have been there for as long as my family has been coming (over 10 years). They will make you feel like you're the only VIP at the resort. Seriously, just read reviews on Trip Advisor.
