- "This hotel was impeccably clean with an amazing vista of Capri right from the balcony of our room. The early morning sun casts a beautiful hue over the island, then brightens as the day progresses. The local buses stop directly in front of the hotel which compensate for its remote location. Taxis are a little pricey here so it helps to get a good handle on the bus schedule. The staff was helpful pointing us in the right direction for buses/taxis. We saw quite a bit in the four short days we were there. We toured Pompeii, Sorrento, Positano, and Capri in Late September. Weather was slightly hot but tolerable. It was very windy when we went to Capri, all of the small boats were cancelled so we couldn't do the Grotto. The wind was so strong we were concerned with getting stuck on Capri if they cancelled the ferry boats. The bus to Positano is quite an experience, the road is full of countless hairpin-turns overlooking cliffs and very low guardrails. We almost got stuck in Positano because every bus out of there was overfilled with people. A couple of incidences we had in this area (unrelated to the hotel) was one in Pompeii there was a set of UNMARKED stairs adjacent to the bathrooms, when we went down the stairs the woman that worked there wouldn't let us back up, this was after we were there only about 10 minutes. We had to argue with the woman through a semi-language barrier and wait for her to make 4 phone calls before she finally allowed us back up the stairs. It wasn't just us there was about 10 other people who did the same thing. There are no markings on the stairs. The other incident was boarding the high-speed train, a man pushed his way through all the people behind us, we mistook him for a porter, he grabbed our luggage, and placed it on the top shelf before we could figure out what was going on, he demanded a tip. We refused, we didn't ask for or need his assistance and he had no business being on a train. We thought he worked for the train company. "

- "staff great" - "The property and our room were very nice. We had a balcony with a view of Sorrento, across the water. We did not get a chance to use the pool, but the area looked very nice. If you are booking tours, I would recommend booking thru the hotel, as they will pick you up there. We made the mistake of booking one tour thru someone else and we had to walk 10 minutes to the bus stop, then take a bus to another city to pick up the tour. We had to get up very early to do this, Franco was wonderful he had to-go bags ready for us with water, juice a pastry and sandwiches. He helped us with the 2nd tour booking which was great and many other things, he made our stay very special! We also had a great experience with Marco and also with the bartender and a nice women at the desk, ( can't remember all the names) that helped us in booking a bus to get to the airport. "
