The house is accessed by a private gate, it is part of a nineteenth century villa and it has been newly renovated by its young owners that have tastefully decorated this fabulous home starting from its furnishings right down to the lamps. No expense was spared as the best known European designers were consulted and hired in completing the project.

One of its main features, is the amazing 180° view which can be enjoyed both from the living room and from the large private terraces. Also stunning view of the Island of Capri can be enjoyed while comfortably lying down and resting. Visitors are struck by the contrasting dazzling white of the house and the bright blue sea which creates a perfect atmosphere after a long day’s trip.

The main terrace at the ground floor has a beautiful minipool with a gorgeous view of the gulf.

The property develops on two floors: the ground floor is home to the large living room which has access to the terrace furnished with sun beds, table and chairs. On this level we also find the kitchen and one double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower.

On the first floor there is a bathroom with bathtub and a double bedroom which also has access to a panoramic terrace. This cozy and spacious holiday home has all the comforts one could wish, and upon request it is possible to have breakfast, lunch or dinner prepared and there is also a selection of wines available that can be bought.

On the ground floor of the main house, there is a fireplace, a bedroom with three beds, a dressing room and a bathroom with a shower, but there also is a master bedroom, which has its own bathroom. The master bedroom's bathroom has a tub and a shower.

On the ground floor, there is also a bedroom closet with a bathroom, a washing machine and an iron.

A wide and convenient granite staircase, with large windows that overlook the garden, leads to the first floor. On the first floor, there is another living room, which has a television with Sky. This room leads to a beautiful terrace on which there is a marble dining table for 10 to 12 persons. The terrace is covered by a pergola and connected to a kitchen that is equipped with a fridge, freezer, toaster, electric kettle, blender, oven and dishwasher. The kitchen is also fully equipped with plates, cutlery, glasses, breakfast cups, place mats and all the other daily necessities. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms: a master bedroom, which is built on two levels and which has a bathroom with a tub, a dressing room and a television with My Sky. The other bedroom has two single beds, a dressing room and a big bathroom with a shower.

Another huge terrace, which is partly covered by a pergola, can be reached from this terrace thanks to a very convenient staircase. It is fully equipped with sun chairs, tables, sofas and armchairs with pillows. It has a magnificent mini Jacuzzi pool (heated).
There is a private car park on the property that can be reached via a narrow street, so we recommend cars no larger than a Golf, for example. The car park is large enough for 2 cars.

- "Villa Torre del Giglio is a beautiful villa that has been tastefully renovated, modernized and decorated. It sits on the side of a hill overlooking the small town center of Masse Lubrense and the sea below. Stunning views from the expansive roof deck. Two buildings, the huge main house and the old tower which is a living area and bath downstairs, and a second floor bedroom and bathroom with the best views! Plenty of space for our group of 7. We walked in to the town frequently to visit the cafes (called "bars") and the restaurants which were all amazing. We also went to a few of the markets to get food to cook ourselves. Just be aware there is a steep stone driveway that can be a bit slippery going down and heart-pumping going up, as well as stairs leading up to the villa. But let me say after catching our breadth each time we returned it was worth the climb! Since we were there off season in March, there were several businesses still closed until April 1. But, we found some great places that were open and it was nice having the attention of all the business owners to ourselves! They all treated us special. The owner Maria, was very responsive (off site) and the two local caretakers, Irma and Lucio, were fantastic. They reached out every day to see if we needed anything and had recommendations for restaurants and a taxi driver which we used to bring us to a couple of excursions. They even brought us pastries on our first and last day, and a gift from the owner. Amazing!"

Splendore su Capri is an elegant villa of 160 square meters on two floors .It can accommodate up to eight people, is located at the end of the Sorrento peninsula and has one of the most dramatic and breathtaking views across the bay of Naples and the isle of Capri. In the town of Massa Lubrense, this place is in a little corner of paradise away from the bustle of the city. There isn't a point that doesn't offer a panoramic view.
The owners of the villa live in an apartment on the ground floor and are very respectful of the privacy of their guests, but if they need anything they are always available and happy to help.
"Splendore" is the ideal place for those who want to spend a holiday in total relaxation, away from the city noise. The villa is located in Massa Lubrense, the last town on the Sorrento Peninsula, a very quiet place but has a strategic position because from here it is easy to get to places of interest such as Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi, Pompeii, Herculaneum, Capri and Ischia.
The villa offers guests free use of outdoor parking for a maximum of two cars.
To reach the first entrance of the villa, from the parking area, just walk 10 steps, the first floor has a master bedroom with TV and air conditioning and a window that offers a magnificent view of the coast and the island of Capri, a shower room, a sitting room / kitchen equipped with everything you need.; Also this room offers the same breathtaking view of the beautiful island.
From the first floor you can access the second floor via an internal staircase. If you want to access from the parking area to the second entrance to the villa (the main one) you need to take 17 small steps that are surrounded by olive trees and plants characteristic of this part of Italy.
Before entering you will find a beautiful terrace, overlooking the Sorrento coast, equipped with sofas, rocking chairs and barbecue. In front of the terrace you can enjoy a green relaxation area with a hammock, ideal for reading a book in peace.
Entering the main entrance of the villa you will be amazed by the beauty of the structure and the view it offers, thanks to its location. The second floor has two bathrooms with a shower, three double bedrooms with television and air conditioning. Both the master bedroom and the kitchen open onto a spacious terrace equipped with sofas, recliner and a large table and chairs perfect for a candlelit dinner or a lunch during the hot sunny days while over looking the bay.
Continuing up another 14 steps to the "gem" of the villa, the pool area(open from May to September - depending on the weather). The pool area has a large equipped solarium with sun beds, outdoor swimming pool and a shower. No doubt it is the most scenic spot ever and the most relaxing, given the wide panoramic view of the sea and the Gulf of Naples, but also the flourishing vegetation typical of the area (lemon, olive trees ..) that characterizes the property. Why not lie on the couch to relax and listen to the sound of the sea that is not far away. This apartment will exceed your expectations of a relaxing holiday.

PLEASE NOTE THAT:
- Final cleaning which costs € 150,00 has to be paid in cash on arrival day.
- Should you want an extra cleaning, this is an extra cost and you can request for it upon arrival or during your stay.
- On request, you can also have, included in the price, a cot and a high chair for babies for all the duration of your stay.
- The use of the villa is exclusively reserved for guests staying at "Splendore su Capri", additional guests are not permitted, nor is the use of unapproved suppliers.

- "We had the trip of a lifetime ! The Villa was exactly as pictured if not better! There are so many beautiful outdoor areas to relax, swim and watch the sunset! The Villa is surrounded by lemon trees and olive trees. Amalfi coast was very crowded so it was wonderful to have our private oasis to retrieve to each day. Daniela was beyond I credit and the absolute best host ever!!! We missed our connecting flight and landed very late at night but Daniela found us a driver, her fiancé, Lucio. Lucio also was our driver for a tour of the coast. He was exceptional taking us to out of the way places and an amazing lunch. Who knew exactly how long we should stay in each town and personalized the trip to meet our needs. Daniela had recommendations for delicious restaurants which also provided transport to and from the restaurant. In the last night we wanted to sit and enjoy the sunset. I asked Daniela for recommendations for a pizza place that would deliver and within minutes Daniela sent the menu and then called in our order . We arranged for a private boat to tour Capri and due to the weather our boat was cancelled. Daniela managed to find us a boat for a different day. Highly recommend the driving day along the coast and the boat trip. Daniela also arranged for a beach club day which was also perfect! Daniela did our shopping ahead of time so our fridge was stocked when we arrived! Our best dinner was homemade pizza by Daniela’s. It was all a dream come true! Daniela is just amazing"

The villa's location is strategic, set between the Sorrento peninsula and the Amalfi Coast, just 15 km (9 miles) from Sorrento and just over 20 km (13 miles) from Positano. Easy to reach by car (with four private parking places), it is located on an ancient Roman thoroughfare. It's an easy starting point to go on enchanting walks on the Sorrento peninsula and the Amalfi Coast.
The villa is just 600 meters (about six blocks) from a lovely village with all the basic services you might need (two restaurants, a small market, a butcher, a coffee bar, a pharmacy, newsstand, tobacco shop, postal office, and public transportation). A mere twenty-minute walk (or five-minute drive) takes you to Cala di Mitigliano, which is among the area's loveliest wild natural coves.
You can get to the world-famous beach, Marina del Cantone, in just a 15-minute drive or 20-minute bus ride.
A 30-minute stroll (or five-minute drive) will bring you to the peninsula's highest point, Mount San Costanzo, which has a small deconsecrated church, affording a sweeping view both of the magnificent Gulf of Naples and of Salerno.
The weather is lovely all year round because of its southwestern exposure, 300 m (900 feet) above sea level, and its location right across from Capri means you can always see the sunset.

Rome airport is 290 km (180 miles) away from the villa. To go from Rome to Naples it's possible to take the fast train (1 h 10 min).

Here is the explanation of the costs of the villa. The base price of the villa is flat for an occupancy from 1 to 6 people. So for example 2 people pay the same amount as 6 people. From 7 to 12 people there is an additional cost of € 100 per person per day. The price is well explained on vrbo and is calculated automatically. For exemple, in case of 8 guests the additional cost should be 200€/day. It is motivated by the fact that the costs of organizing and managing the villa depend a lot on the number of guests.

Sunsets were etched in our memories. The private chefs made Michelin Star worthy meals. The rooms were comfortable, there was plenty of room for our group of 11 people. The host and staff were all very helpful. The property is much larger than shown in pictures. It was truly something out of a movie from the outdoor dining areas, to the pool, to the covered patio with ping pong and foosball it was the perfect place to relax after a week of touring Northern Italy. We did have two family members in their 70's and I will caution you that this property is in a very rural location. Access to the town is not a realistic walk and getting transportation on the fly wasn't that easy considering most of the town's people don't speak English. We made it work and the Ristore Locale a little ways up the very steep hill was a hidden gem. They made cappuccinos and had just about every fresh vegetable, fruit and meat you could ever want. Loved the people, loved the house and also loved the restaurant Eughenes. My only advise would be to plan transportation to town and restaurants if you have any mobility restrictions or don't want to walk on very narrow roads with fast vehicles driving by. All in all though, we would book this house every time we went to Amalfi...It was absolutely dreamy!"

Olimpia called a restaurant to pick us up for dinner at Antica Francischiello, one of my favorite meals! We walked to town to buy groceries and took a cab back. The Villa is not easily accessible by foot if you are a little older. The road to the beach or the main road is very steep. I didn’t go to the beach, but my sons and daughters in law went. We used taxis €40 or a driver € 60 to go to Sorrento for the ferry or shopping. This was the perfect place to relax and enjoy time away from the crowds after a few days in Rome. Situated just 700m from the village of Torca, you’ll be in prime position for exploring the landscape of the southern side of the Sorrento peninsula on foot along the circular Sentiero delle Sirenuse, which passes close to the villa.



With a wonderful private garden that plunges you straight into the vivid blues and greens of this favourite stretch of Italian coastline, you may be reluctant to spend time inside. Directly outside the villa, alfresco dining takes on a whole new meaning on the covered sea-view terrace, where a fabulous tiled outdoor kitchen with barbecue, sink and hob takes the heat out of self-catering. Whilst we recommend car rental to reach the villa, renting scooters or travelling on the local SITA bus network is the best way to get around.

• Nature and hiking: the surrounding area is a walker’s paradise. At Villa Ambra, you can step straight out onto the 9km long Sentiero delle Sirenuse and follow it in either direction along the southern side of the Sorrento Peninsula. Stroll along meandering pathways through the Mediterranean scrub and pine forests, past olive groves, vegetable patches and picture-postcard villages, and enjoy mesmerising views of the Amalfi Coast, the island of Capri and the Li Galli Islands. You can also head west to the far tip of the peninsula and the walking trails around Punta Campanella and the Bay of Ieranto.

• Gastronomic experiences: while an outdoor kitchen and your own private sea view make it more of an effort to venture out in the evening, it’s definitely worth at least one visit to the Michelin-starred restaurants in nearby Nerano and Sant’Agata sui Due Golfi.
