The large yard was wonderful for morning coffee, sunbathing and a glass of wine in the evening. Roberto was an incredible host, he took us to his gardens and showed us how he grows lemons, he gave us many lemons and also delicious fresh tomatoes and lettuce from the garden. To access the Structure there are two possibilities:
-there is a public lift that leads from the main road to a panoramic walk and after few stairs interspersed with landings you enter the House. The lift is open from 7:30 until midnight and periodically the lift is stopped for maintenance. In alternative there are stairs (120)

- "The house is exactly as pictured and the views of Atrani from the rooftop terrace and bedrooms are spectacular. We were so grateful to have chosen this quiet and charming location especially when returning from hectic nearby Amalfi, Capri and Positano. Lella and Oliver are the sweetest hosts and have thought of everything including a welcome pantry with staples of that you need to start your vacation: eggs, milk, yogurt, fruit/veges, coffee, water and as stated in other reviews, wine and beer for additional purchase. One of the main reasons I chose this house is that the hosts have an extensive local knowledge and can make any arrangements that you need for restaurants reservations. We booked high speed train from roma/airport transportation to paris. Taxi transports was so necessary for us because it made it easier to travel between the towns as the ferry was not an option bc of our seasickness plus we didn’t want to wait for the sita bus which was slower and scheduling inconvenient. The lift does take 1 eu each way; is very convenient and clean. Expect stairs everywhere in the Amalfi and the route to the villa from the elevator is such a pleasant and picturesque stroll. Porter service can be arranged ahead of your stay if you need (we didn’t need) Be sure take a taxi to Ravello and enjoy Cimbrone and Rufolo gardens. Wish we could have taken Oliver’s boat cruise it looked amazing. If you can, try to hike the Path of the Gods into Positano and have a gelato/sorbetti daily."

The building ( with no elevator) is located in the oldest and most central area of Amalfi , only 150 meters away from the famous Piazza del Duomo di Amalfi (Square of the Cathedral of Amalfi), which is the rendezvous of the town. No car needed to saty at Casa Massa, if you have one you can park at the Luna Rossa parking and reach the house trough the public elevator.

- "We could not have enjoyed our stay in Amalfi more than we did at Casa Massa! The property was beautifully nestled on the hill between Amalfi and Atrani, making it an extraordinary view of each town from either side of the house, and an easy walk to both. The home has plenty of space to live, cook, relax and sleep. We enjoyed two family meals in the large kitchen and dining room. Bruno, the property manager, was efficient and professional, and the housekeeping and grounds staff were very pleasant. One note for those intimidated by all the stairs on the Amalfi coast, there is an elevator a short walk from this house that one can take down into the center of Amalfi for free. It is 3 Euro per person for the ride back up, but it replaces several flights of stairs for those that may be too tired for the climb back up. There are still some steps to be navigated along the winding path between the house and the elevator, but only 30 or so rather than 80-100."

Casa Massa is a welcoming 4 bedrooms villa dating back to the 15th century is located in the oldest and most central area of Amalfi A car is not necessary in order to stay at Casa Massa . The town offers great bus and taxi services, but if you have a car, it is possible to reserve a private parking lot roughly 400 meters away from the house. (Parking is only possible in paid parking).

No private parking area is available, but the ‘Luna Rossa’ public parking is a few minutes away from the residence and can be reached by two different lift systems adjacent to the parking lot:

– From the lift system uphill from the house, and then 74 steps back up to reach the house.
– From the house to the lift system lower down the hill there are 95 steps down.

You can also opt for private parking with valet service to be booked.
